...as a consumer device, here Casio have gone to great lengths to incorporate the latest technology into a small, lightweight and durable piece of equipment. ...experience with previous cameras, this Casio EX-Z1050 installed my confidence in digital cameras before I turned my back and went back to the old disposable effects you see at most drunken nights out.
When I purchased the camera it was £170 off the internet, I came across the same model again on the internet to find it can be purchased for £120, what a bargin!, still I have had so much use over the past 9 months which I can,t get annoyed about.

You can also reduce the megapixels down a notch, which makes it easier if you wanna send photos via email or list stuff on ebay, the other main features are the video recorder which is excellent addition and is of high quality, depending on which memory card you deceide ...

...have never looked back.
The Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 is a terrific little camera in looks, feel, weight, functionality and ease of use. Want to point and shoot then this camera is fantastic for you...want to take time and zoom in and change the angle you take your shot from then this is not a problem either as the camera has a fantastic large colour screen which is easy to see and makes taking the shots both quicker and easier (smaller screens cause ... ...whereas the slightly bigger screen makes it easy for you to take a quick look at the screen and be happy with the picture).

Advantages: Small, light and ultra amazing Disadvantages: Flash is a bit blinding
Let me start off by saying, WOW. Who would have guessed that something so compact and relatively cheap for a good camera, could produce top quality and professional looking photographs.
As well as the usual point and snap photograph, there are also 38 settings for all variety of options like portrait, scenery, pets, sports, black and white, fireworks, all with individual shutter speeds and colours to give excellent results.
The zoom is fantastic ... ...Also the macro focus setting is amazing, you have to see it to believe it.
There are so many snapshot setting that i haven't tried all of them yet and i have had this camera for nearly 6 months. There are 4 different flash settings, 4 focus settings, including manual focus, which many digital cameras do not have, self timer settings, which are perfect for use with a tripod to take group photos, or family portraits. There is an anti-shake setting, ...

Advantages: Functionality, ease of use, size, display, picture quality, battery life Disadvantages: None that I can think of
...I upgraded to the Casio in June this year from an Olympus 8 megapixel mju, on the recommendation of a friend. He had the model before this and wanted to buy the latest one for his financee before they went on holiday.
Requirements - compact, good battery life, reliable, complicated when you need it to be, but an excellent 'point and shoot' when you don't have the time to adjust the settings before you miss the shot.
The Casio delivers on all points, ... ...I came to charge the battery (days later) I couldn't remember the last time I'd had to charge it. Reliable - no problems so far. Complicated - numerous settings to meet the requirements of most general purpose users, but simple enough that I can understand it. There's a Best Shot feature, point and shoot for 90% of your requirements - and fast too! It takes no time at all to power up, and the menus are easy to navigate. The picture mode has a button ...

This camera is simply excellent. We brought this to take on our honeymoon as we wanted great pictures and with a 10.1 megapixcel ability it met everything that we wanted.

Advantages: Nice design, and good quality pictures Disadvantages: Hard to use interface, and trouble with pc connection
It is a very lightweight camera for me, and i love the sleek design. The camera quality is realtively good compared to older exilim digital cameras, and with a larg high resolution screen it gives a modern theme to the camera.
However, I am one who regularly uploads my photos onto the computer, and although it gives you instructions on how to do so. the camera would not connect to my pc. I am still not 100% satisfied with thi camera choice becuase there are not many settings on this camera which enable you to drastically change the camera photo. Furthermore, for technology newbies, this camera deems very difficult to use, with an interface which is not so good looking and small"ish" buttons making it hard to use. For the price this has to be one of the best cameras on the market. The slim design makes it easy to carry and the features are endless.
