Not perfect, but what do you expect?

Advantages: Size, very handy
Disadvantages: Uses far too many batteries, size, sort of

...in tracking down an official Casio mains lead, and to be honest I don't really trust any of the other brands. It can also take a while to find the TV channels, as you have to scan for them. Another problem that especially applies to all you football fans out there is that when writing appears on the screen (subtitles, news headlines etc.) it is often too small to read, and just becomes a blur. In the context of football, it is almost impossible to ...

It can be a bit annoying. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Conclusion: However, I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say that the problems I have outlined are fairly minor and almost trivial (especially for those of you who don't like football!), and I think I can safely say that with this TV, the positives outweigh the negatives. It is small, handy, convenient and above ...

Pretty good for its size

Advantages: Screen size not bad, not too heavy, good volume control, v clear picture when there's good signal
Disadvantages: Eats batteries pretty quick, you need to use in a location with good reception

It's a minature television, in the end, what do you want? It isn't going to be comparable to a full size one. Saying that, I was expecting slightly better reception than I have. Maybe it's the places I've used it, but generally it's a snowy picture with crackling sound, and as you scan from one channel to the next, you have to move the ariel about to find the new channel. A couple of times though, when I have been somewhere with decent reception, ...
...live in a place where freeview boxes rarely work, let alone pocket televisions, so it's doing pretty well. The sound is a bit echoey, but you can comfortably listen to it. Controlled by a little wheel on the side (next to another to control the brightness), it goes up more than loud enough for an individual or a group of people to be able to hear perfectly. I've had mine about 6 years. It still works the same as when I bought it with no problems, ...

To buy or not to buy?!

Advantages: Great reception
Disadvantages: Slightly complicated to set up

The recpetion on this is top quality. Mine even reaches some local channels from a few miles away! But apart from that; the picture quality is fairly good, which includes colour. It will also tune very well; you do not have to manually tune it which is a huge advantage. The battery is also fairly good; what one would expect. For around 2.5 inches, this really is a good buy. It all fits in well on the small screen, and it provides great entertainment ...
...couple of drawbacks for me; there is a small antenna on the side/top of it and this can be quite irritating and gets in the way occasionally. The other drawback is that the speaker is not of the greatest quality, and vibrates a little. But for close viewing it is very good. In my opinion this is a good buy for just around 50 pounds. ...

The Casio TV970 an excellent piece of kit...

Advantages: Good quality for money
Disadvantages: In areas of good reception it may not find a signal

I bought my TV970 from a respectable internet sales website for £75. For that price I was not expecting anything fantastic, just something I could use in the car or if I was going out somewhere where I was going to be bored. I was however, very surprised and happy with the results. For the money you get a light-weight, well built unit with all the usual accessories. It features a 2.3 inch viewable screen, it also has an in-built stand, extendable ...
...is easy, but it does take a very large amount of batteries, but from my experience they last for ages. I havn't changed them since i bought it and I've used it a lot! The screen size is ok to watch, it's not a strain, but after prolonged viewing, I can see it would become so. The mains lead has a good length and it measn that you can use it comfortably from a chair or bed and still have plenty of free movement. It's fairly compact, and as I said ...

Baby TV

Advantages: Light, Small, Reasonably Cheap
Disadvantages: Uses Lots of Battery Power

This is a great product to get on ebay, secondhand. The are durable, the screensize is fine for watching movies but the essential here is rechargeable batteries. You will double the cost of actual TV in battery fees within a month. Althogh it does have a 6volt DC jack the whole point is that it should be portable. Another essential for the device is headphones, they have to great purposes: - You dont annoy other people - Save LOTS of battery Nick ...
