Could It BE Any Better?!

AdvantagesFunny, Entertaining, Great Characters

DisadvantagesNone

"...its touch. It is a Channel 4 show and shown on C4 and E4. ***CHARACTER HISTORY*** Monica Geller (Courteney Cox Arquette) was a neat freak. When she was young she was fat but a comment made by her brother Rossí best friend Chandler made her diet to proof him wrong. Monicaís best friend since school was Rachel, who turned up again and moved in with Monica. Most episodes were based in or around Monicaís Grans old apartment which she first shared ..." Read review

There'll always B There 4 Me

Advantagesamazing actors, eppy's and humour.

DisadvantagesThey're not consistant.

"I have always been a fan of friends from as far back as I can remember, I would have only have been three when the first ever episode came out, so I can't say I watched it from the start, but I came into the show around the 5th season, which ironically is my favourite. It's a simple concept, 6 friends and their lives, with is situated around a coffee house, simple but it works, the writing and the jokes are incredible, but the best thing about ..." Read review

they'll be there for you

Advantageshalf an hour of escapism and good laughs

Disadvantagesscripts not as sharp as they used to be

"...CURRENTLY WATCHING THE SERIES ON CHANNEL FOUR ON FRIDAY EVENINGS, THIS OPINION GIVES AWAY THE END OF THE SERIES** A is for Alice. Married to Frank (Phoebe’s younger brother) she used to be a home economics teacher and is now mother to triplets. B is for Barry. Rachel’s ex-fiancť who she jilted at the altar in the first ever episode. B is also for Ben. Ross’ son from his marriage to Carol. C is for Chandler. Now married ..." Read review

The opinion guaranteed to get me kicked off Ciao

AdvantagesDon't worry if you missed any of the old episodes, the new ones seem to be identical

DisadvantagesAn embarassment to this once great show

"...blush and tune in to channel 4 on Friday night. Then each person writes down an event expected to occur many times in one episode of Friends on a scrap of paper (Joey says something stupid or Monica behaves in her usual obsessive-compulsive manner) and puts it in a bag. Each person draws out one event each and very simply must drink each time that event occurs. Now, I can't fully remember the rules as normally by the first break, I was drooling ..." Read review

MY FAVE ALL TIME COMEDY SHOW

AdvantagesGreat program

DisadvantagesGetting old and beginning to wear thin

"...comedy, it was originally a Channel 4 show and channel 4 show the latest series of the cast weekly on Fridays at around 9pm. The channel also shows previous episodes, mainly repeats at other times during the week, usually around 6pm. You can see the real LATEST episodes and series on sky though, Sky 1 and NEW channel E4 show the latest editions to Friends. You will almost find at least 1 episode of Friends on daily on sky and digital! You can also ..." Read review

Oooohhh Mmmyyyy Gggoddd

AdvantagesFunny, Fresh and Great characters

DisadvantagesNew episodes on E4

"I know there have been lots of reviews of Friends but as its my favourite TV programme I have to review it. Friends mainly revolves around the lives of 6 characters. They all live in New York and tend to meet up in either Monica or Joey's apartments or their favourite coffee shop Central Perk. Brief descriptions of the characters follow: Monica Geller Monica is like the Mother figure of the group. They usually all go to her apartment for ..." Read review

Friends no more

Advantageswas superb when it started

Disadvantagesformat ran dry

"Is it time to break up the friendship? It may be harsh reality, but I think it is time for the bubble to burst for our 6 musketeers. We all know the format, 6 friends, 3 girls and 3 blokes living virtually in each others pockets. They've been through college together, they've done this that and the other. But has "Friends" lost its magic? The first series was excellent. It was new, funny and the format was original. We were inroduced to Ross, ..." Read review

It couldn't BE any funnier

AdvantagesVery funny, not too long.

DisadvantagesNone!

"...isnít pregnant. So who is...? Unfortunately, Channel 4 havenít shown the next series yet! Every series endds in a cliff hanger, so if you just canít wait to find out, then check out E4, Thursdays at 9pm. Each episode lasts 30 minutes, and the programme is sponsered by Nestle. If you havenít seen any episodes of Friends, or are looking for back episodes you havení;t seen, series 1-7 are available on video. So you have no excuse not to watch this ..." Read review

I love it, but has it had it's day

AdvantagesSide-splittingly funny!

DisadvantagesAren't any...

"...is repeated on terrestrial on Channel 4 at 9pm the following night – Friday. I do hope Friends doesn’t finish. It will be odd. I have grown up and matured with it, and it will be just like loosing a dog or cat I’ve had for years. Let’s hope we’ll see season fifteen!! Written by: Matt Roberts. ..." Read review

American sitcom in actually quite funny shocker

AdvantagesWitty, engaging, well written

DisadvantagesGlossy, canned laughter

"Friends Generally, I have little or no time for American sitcoms (for every Frasier there are fifteen Veronica's Closets), especially American sitcoms set in coffe bars and apartments, and most especially when they feature monkeys (BJ and the Bear anyone?). Friends however, has grown on me and I find my self looking forward to each new episode with the sort of anticipation suspiciously close to that of a "fan". It revolves around a group of six ..." Three guys, three girls, a monkey and a lesbian.

AdvantagesA light hearted comedy that is perfect for unwinding to.

DisadvantagesNone, just the worry that it could eventually go stale.

"...at 6pm and also on Channel 4 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday at 6pm and Friday’s at 6.30pm and 9pm. It is set in New York and revolves around six, twenty-something friends and their lives. Three guys: - Chandler Bing - (the effeminate one) Ross Geller - (the Square/Stick in the Mud) Joey Tribbiani - (the Italian Stallion, dark and handsome, and definitely a ladies man!) And also three girls: - Rachel Green - (naive, never before ..." Read review

Into Series 7 and it's still brilliant

AdvantagesGreat characters, funny plots

DisadvantagesSeries 8 is rumoured to be the last!

"...couple of years now, and Channel 4 is currently showing Series 7. For those of you who have never seen it, here is a brief history of the six main characters. 1. Ross Gellar (David Schwimmer): Ross works as a palaeontologist (I have no idea how to spell that!) in a museum, and apparently has dinosaur toys in his room. Over the years, he's had a on-off relationship with Rachel. Ross has had three failed marriages - first to Carol (who left him for ..." Read review

Those Fun and Feisty Friends

AdvantagesFunny and moving all at the same time!

DisadvantagesBecoming jaded over time, characters are now just too predictable

"...series shown on Sky One, Channel 4 and E4 with the latter showing the latest series first. The show runs for 25 minutes and is based on 6 twenty-something city based friends and their lives and loves. Each character is different and brings their own personality to the show resulting in a good blend of camaraderie and fun, and yet at the same time, an incredible bond of friendship and some very moving moments. My husband loves to watch this because ..." Read review
