...on the hit list was Charles Worthington’s Take Away Range. I got a haircut and decided that I would actually try and maintain the style so when I saw these on 3 for 2 in Boots I couldn’t resist. I bought 3 different products from the Take Away range: Shine Silkening Serum, Frizz taming Serum and Shine, Gloss and Refresh Spray.
The Packaging
I know people don’t always like the packaging being described but in this case it is one of the products ... ...and are perfect for putting in your bag. Both the serums are in clear plastic bottles and the serums themselves are clear. There is 15ml in each of these bottles. The spray is in an aluminium (this means it can be recycled and due to the products not being tested on animals they are environmentally friendly) spray can and holds 30ml. Silkening Serum

I’ve always liked Charles Worthington hair care. The products seem to suit my hair and they’re not tested on animals. The Results range – designed to suit various hair types – comes in the standard size and in the Take Away sizes which I’m reviewing here. The Results Take Away range is basically smaller sizes of the regular range. They are ideal for taking away (hence the name) on holiday, keeping in your gym bag (if I ever went to the gym!) or for ... ...for Men.
Other than Charles Worthington salons, these products only seem to be available at Boots. Everything in this range is £1.50, which I feel to be quite good value. As with most brands, they work out slightly more expensive per 100ml than the standard size (which range between £3 and £6), but only marginally so. In fact the serum works out at £10 per 100ml, where as the standard size works out at £12 per 100ml! I guess they didn’t think that ...

...the reviews of all the charles worthington take-aways, but this review is dedicated to the frizz-taming serum product. I have very long hair, down to roundabout my butt, and it tangles very easily, is dry and hard to tame. I long for shiny, lustrous hair!
I spotted this product in my local beauty store and after checking the ingredients ( I am against animal testing and the use of animal-derived ingredients) I bought it. It was actually on offer ... ...point I will also praise Charles Worthington for the design of the bottle.Its pump action meant getting the small amount required very easy. Once I had smoothed the few squirts required over my hair, my hair instantly felt smoother and when I brushed through, it was easier to brush and looked so much nicer than usual. Advantages: Good value for money, not tested on animals, good results. Disadvantages: Run out quite quickly, hairspray brushes out easily.
I first saw the Charles Worthington take-aways on offer in boots. They were so cheap, and quite small, I thought I'd try them.. If I didn't like the products, it wouldn't be that much of a waste! It took me a while to decide which three to choose. The shampoos and conditioners come in short narrow bottles. There are a variety of different colours, but to me, there isn't a lot of difference between the fragrences. Eventually I chose oil regulating ... ...I decided to try the Charles Worthington one, as it said it worked for curly, frizzy and unruly hair. The instructions were very simple. All you had to do was run a small amount through your hair from root to tip. I just used a small amount, but it removed the curl very effectively. It didn't flatten my hair, either, like some straighteners can.

I really rate the Charles Worthington range. I think all of the products are absolutely brilliant and do exactly what they say, however they are expensive put you pay for brilliance!!!

When I bought it I was aware I was paying a high price for such a minimal amount of substance £1.65...only 15ml. But I am not disappointed now, as I have been using it for about a month and a half and I haven't even used 1/6 of the bottle. Therefore you really do not need to use a large amount of serum to cure frizz only a little does the trick perfectly. Each time I dry my hair once it is dry I apply two squirts of the pump action ...

...take with me is the CHARLES WORTHINGTON TAKE AWAYS range, they are compact and good value for money. The one I am going to tell you about is CHARLES WORTHINGTON "PARTY TIME BODYWASH".
I first bought this on my last trip away. I spotted it alongside various other "washes" in Boots. It cost me 99p for a 75ml bottle. The bottle is red, with a flat flip top, and is very thin in design, so is very compact to pack.
The smell is very pleasant, but a little ... ...product without spending big money on it.

...read the front which had Charles Worthington Salon Shine Results written in silver with Brilliant Shine underneath in bronze. It claimed to give you 'Super Shiney Hair'. My hair had recently become dull and lifeless so this sounded just what i needed.
Reading the back it say's it dramatically boosts hair shine by upto 80%, smooths and softens the hair, washes away daily impurities and smooth's the hair's cuticle.
The bottle i'd picked up was 250ml ... ...it seemed a little expensive so looking again at the shelf i spotted the perfect thing, mini versions of the shampoo! The same packaging just a smaller 75ml version for just £1.65. I decided to try the smaller versions first as they weren't going to break the bank should i not like it. I got both the Brilliant Shine shampoo and the Brilliant Shine conditioner.

So, I grabbed a few small bottles of the Take Aways line, almost tester sized, but they were cheap. I paid about €2, 80 (which is £1.95, but it is cheaper in the UK, because we pay more since it is an imported product, you guys will pay £1.65 at Boots) for a 50ml bottle.

On the directions it says to towel dry hair, rub one pumpful of serum between the palms and work lightly through hair lenghts. Dry as normal. Now I had my shower and then towel dried my hair. ...that, they are reasonable too.) Charles Worthington has a reputation as one of the country's top hairdressers and he isn't going to want to ruin that with a dodgy range of haircare products bearing his name.
Just like the full sized version, these are great. My personal favourite is the extra texture hold and shape gel. My hair is stunningly thin and flyaway and static. I have quite a lot of this said hair and it is a nightmare - after 10 minutes, ... ...you care to mention. I have tried virtually everything out here and this gel gets as close as anything ever has to what I want a hair styling product to do - is hold my hair without being all gungy and sticky.
All in all, a good value and a very extensive range which is nice to see, sometimes the smaller size ranges can be limited, and a good price too - about £1.50 for my lovely gel - so reasonable I use it all the time now! ...

The collection contains shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, serums, hairspray and other finishing products, for various hair types and even a 'holiday hair' range - specialising in protecting your hair in the heat.
They're a good buy if you're unsure about buying a product. These cheap, small, takeaways are the perfect ... ...products do.
Overall the Charles Worthington takewaway range are good value for money (£1+) as despite the small apperance the last for ages. Also, Boots often has them on offer 3 for 2, which is good as it would cost you way under £4.00. I would recommend these to everyone. Whatever your hair type, product you're looking for, Charles Worthington has it. ...

Ive been using charles worthington dream hair wax for ages and although its good i was getting fed up with how greasy it makes your hair right away. I got a little tin of the take aways sheer brilliance finishing wax, which is light hold, from Boots, it was about £1.65 which i suppose for a tiny little tin its quite expensive but i see it as paying for the convenience of having a dinky pot to carry around with you. the wax is the same light ... ...the little pot contains 15ml of wax which would last a couple of weeks at a guess. I use it to hold the front part of my hair mostly because i have it flicked outwards and without anything holding it in palce the flicks just drop right out. i rub a little wax between my hands and taking little sections of dry and almost completely styled hair between my hands rubbing it at the same time, i only do this at the front and the top layers of my hair not ...

...it could get much better. Charles Worthington TakeAways are pocket sized tubes of delight for both your pocket and your purse.
The TakeAway range are availible in sprays, gels, waxes, conditioners and shampoos. The sprays have many uses, some bottles being heat appliane protecters, others adding shine to your hair. The gels are mainly serums, reducing split ends and dry roots. The waxes are no bigger than a 99p pot of vaseline, and the conditioners ... ...if your travelling light.
I found the shine sprays especially usful at parties, when i felt like a bit of a pick me up, I could just retrieve the can from my purse as you can take them anywhere.
Prices of TakeAways range in Boots stores, from about £1 - £2, athough I wouldn't settle for much more than £1.50 oweing to the lack of use you get from some of the sprays. They don't last long enough if you're using them out on your hair everyday... But ...
