The wooded highchair was not an option for us, as I hate self assembly things, they just get everyone wound up, so I chose the Chicco Mamma chair, as it comes fully assembled. All you need to do is take it out of the box, and stand it up – simple :-) The only assembly required is to add the tray! Advantages: easy feeding for children,good strong structure Disadvantages: more expensive than some
My daughter June purchased this highchair from mothercare during a sale for feeding her first child jordan in. She was very lucky to have a sale on reducing the price to just under £100.
The solid framed highchair is quite heavy and her partner was a little puffed out having to carry it all the way from the local branch to our house ( they are all living with us at present, awaiting a place on own)
Anyway on arriving home with a very heavy and ... ...and worked.
The highchair consisted of:-
yellow stable feet
Blue seat and rod supports
yellow tray Aqua blue padded cushion spotted with "yellow dots and orange and yellow Turtles"
red buttons at side and tray section
Jordan loves his highchair and seems very comfortable with its 3 different positions and 5 point safety straps. He has just started on finger foods, so the slip on yellow tray has been attatched now. This glides on easy using ...

...this particular chair – the Chicco Mamma highchair. Some baby items you can buy quickly but others such as a pram, car seat and highchair you will really need to assess what you need and what the item can provide.
Space
If you live in a nice big spacious house with lots of room and no specific need to hide away your chair then you don’t have to worry about this one. However if space is at a premium then you’re not going to want a chair that takes ... ...open and closed.
THE CHICCO MAMMA – this is a bulky chair when opened and although it folds flat it still takes up a reasonable amount of space. You can adjust the height (more on that later) so it’s a bit smaller but if you don’t have a lot of space this will not be the chair for you. Advantages: stable, comfortable and supportive Disadvantages: expensive, tray positioned too high
I chose this product when my daughter was about 5 months old, and her car seat was getting too unhygenic to continue in it's dual role!
At the time I liked the variable heights, so I could feed her at the table or the settee, the recline feature and very shaped/supportive seat - ideal for a not-quite-sitting up baby.
However for a petite toddler the shape is now a bit of a pain. The tray is too high in relation to the seat, and now my daughter ... ...seat cover so that she can reach her dinner - this pushes the straps into the wrong place. perhaps if I had big bouncing boy it would be less of a problem, but it really is the wrong shape for her.
It's also huge, heavy and obtrusive, even when folded. I wish now that we'd waited a few more weeks, until she could sit on a smaller, more flexible product. Probably a cheaper one too!

The Chicco Mamma was lovely, but really rather unneccesary. Babies are only really needing this for 2-3months, and then it just gets in the way. (Even when it is 'folded' it takes up loads of room-unlike the mothercare one which really does fold away)
Now I have another tiny baby, I am not even tempted to re-purchase. I am now well aware that this phase passes very quickly, and I am passed impulsive buying of ridiculously overpriced ...

I bought this highchair from Mothercare for £99. I haven't seen them anywhere else, so I hope I got a good price! I chose it because it was the prettiest one there, but am pleased to say that there are many other things that make it a good buy. The highchair is suitable from 5 months, but there are several things you might want to consider if buying for a younger/smaller baby.
First of all, it requires no assembly, which is essential for me as time ... ...6-position height adjustable seat, which is handy for when pulling it up to the table. My baby likes to be put in one of the lower positions so he can sit with me when I watch TV! I find that it is very easy to adjust, but you must make sure you take your baby out first as it can fall very fast! The back is also adjustable; to sit up straight, lie back a bit, or lie back a lot! This makes it suitable for younger babies, I like to use the middle setting ...

My mother-in-law bought one of these to keep at her house for when we visited, when my daughter was about 8 months old. She was tempted by it because she's the sort of person who assumes something that's expensive MUST be good. At home we use a plain-as-you-like cheap IKEA plastic moulded highchair.
On the plus side, this chair has several height adjustments and folds fairly easily and compactly. It has a very padded seat and a comfy footrest.
... ...a massive chair which takes up a lot of space when it's out. The tray is far too high - even now at 22 months my daughter struggles to feed herself out of a bowl on it as she can't see what's in there, she ends up spilling much more than at home. She gets very overheated because the seat is so padded and 'wraparound' in style - it rises up above her head. For the same reasons she always seems uncomfortable and restricted, and asks to get down from ...

The Mama Chico Highchair is a great chair. Its not the cheapest but it is well worth it. The various height positions and reclining positions make it useful for all ages. Very easy to keep clean. The tray is completly removable as are the adjustable straps. I have also discovered after my son covered his straps with readybrek, that the straps can be waahed in the washing machine. The only problem with it I have found is the tray can't be lowered ...

...bought the right one.
The Chicco Mamma highchair is big, sturdy and will support smaller babies who can't quite sit up yet. It should also be suitable for older babies 18+ mths due to its variable settings (ask me in a year).
Although it folds up it still takes up a lot of room. The folding action is simple to use and all adjustable elements are easy to find and manipulate. The tray is big, too big for small babies but as they will not be feeding ...

Initially we loved this highchair for our daughter Carly. We found it so useful to be able to drag it around from living room, dining room to kitchen. Particularly as she is so mobile now - it keeps her restrained for short periods where we can do other tasks, such as getting her tea. My problem with it is the horizontal plastic bar between the two front legs is not finished very well, and the underside is very sharp. I found this out the hard way, ... ...OUCH! It caused quite a deep cut that bled badly. Thinking I had learnt my lesson, on another occasion I pulled it towards me from the rear. My older child pushed it at the same time, and this time the horizontal bar between the two rear legs rode over my bare foot, causing another very deep cut on the top of my foot. My husband has used a piece of rubber he has glued onto both plastic bars to prevent from happening again. Another point I'd like ...

I was looking for a highchair that had a reclining feature, as i was ready to wean my baby at 4 months and after doing my reasearch, this was one of the only ones that was suitable as it reclines back enough to support a baby who cannot yet sit up. It also has an adjustable height feature and wheels which is very useful if your like me and like to vary where you feed your baby. I found the plactic tray which slots on the front (though not very easily) ... ...my baby when it was attached. Though this will probably become more useful as she gets older and starts to feed herself.
The seat and straps are very comfortable and really hold her in place and it it very secure. It is quite a large (and wide) highchair and if you dont have space in your home it might be difficult to find room to store it, though it does fold up quite narrow so fits down the side of the wardrobe.
I the rrp a bit much so found ...

I bought this highchair in Babies r us, in the sale at £89, in December
I was shown by the assistant how they all worked & this one seemed the best, it comes in different colours aswell.
It has 3 different sitting postions,which are very easy to use & the position can change when your baby is sat in the chair, (you can do it with 1 hand) it is easy to put your baby in when the seat is in the lying back position. its easier to feed them lying back ... ...different height levels, which are really easy to change with two buttons each side. It says it can convert to a toddler chair when on lowest level, but i havent tried this yet as my son is only 7mths old.
We bought this when he was 5 months old, the only draw back I can find is that the straps are too long, even when they are made to the smallest they go as Jack my son keeps chewing them, but they still keep him safe & secure.
It is a bit bulky ...

(+) folds flat, reclines, tray comes off easily, underchair storage. (-) Can be difficult to collapse impossible if you only have one hand free, bits get trapped.
