Advantages: Looks great, easy to move, better for younger babies when first weaning. Disadvantages: Seat not upright enough, hard to clean.
This highchair looks good and is available in a good range of funky fabric designs. It has a lot of features, a seat insert for smaller babies, parent tray, storage bag, removable tray with dishwashable overlay, adjustable footrest, adjustable height and a fully reclining seat. However even after all this I was surprisingly underwhelmed.
Perhaps it's a case of too many features considering the actual amount of time spent using the product is fairly ... ...at just the right angle. My son was always slightly too laid back, he would sit upright away from the back of the seat so got no back support at all. He never fell asleep after eating so never made use of the recline feature, plus I'm not sure I'd want to leave him sleeping in a highchair, surely you would transfer them to bed.
The adjustable height feature was useful when he was first weaned so didn't sit at table height but at a lower height in ...

...when he showed me the chicco polly in the mothercare catologue.
I was'nt to comfortable spending £100.00 on a highchair, i thought surely there is a cheaper one with the same features. ****The polly highchair boasts the following features:****
A 4 position adjustable tray, with food tray which clips onto main highchair tray. This is great because all you have to do is simply unclip the top tray cover and then you have a clean highchair surface. ... ...impossible to get a replacement. chicco apparently don't do replaements. However, i have managed to find someone on ebay who will supply me with one for £30. have yet to get this, as £30 still feels a bit steep but i suppose you pay for the fact they are hard to find.
The sizes of the chair are as follows:
Seat height: 38-64cm Unfolded: 109 x 80 x 54cm Folded: 90 x 25 x 54cm Weight: 9.2kg I have seen two versions of this chair, one with wheels ...

...been any good.
The Chicco Polly Double Phase highchair is brilliant. Not only is it a delight to look at (although my mother disagrees!), it is easy to use and fold away.
I purchased the highchair from Babies R Us with a £5 discount voucher for £95 but you can get it for about £84 on the Kiddicare website.
Its features include:

Freestanding when folded.

Advantages: most versatile highchair on the market Disadvantages: would say heavy and maybe pricey
I bought this highchair because chicco stopped doing the chicco mamma, which was so popular with my 4th child I had to buy a second when I had baby number 5 as he wasnt ready to give his up.
I gave both away well used but with good use still there, then decided to have another baby!!
so when weaning commenced I needed a highchair that adapts from leaning back to sitting up from low to high to cope with our lifestyle.some meals at table others feeding ... ...to clean and all straps are removeable and I have thrown them easily through the wash.
All round I am very pleased with the new version Chicco Polly Highchair. one downside is that it is still heavy but I guess that means it is solid and stable. ...

Advantages: There are many, probably best one is that you can adjust the height. Disadvantages: No wheels and is pretty heavy.
...An assistant recommended the Chicco Polly High Chair to me and gave me a demonstration. They retail for about £100 but at the time of purchase they were on offer for £85 which I do think is a little expensive but with all the features it has I felt I was getting a bargain.
What I like about it:
The chair is not on wheels so my baby cannot push herself away from the table and across the laminate flooring!
The seat has 3 different positions so good ... ...you can just tilt the seat back slightly, also good if they fall asleep in it you don't have to move them, just tilt right back.
The chair is easy to adjust, everywhere you see an orange button is a feature i.e. to fold the chair, to adjust the height, to bring up the armrests and adjust the footrest , and take the tray on off, all very simple to do.
You can have the chair at different heights depending on where you use it.
The chair is freestanding ...

...We then found the Chicco Polly. Although this is at the top end of the price scale I think we will get our moneys worth. It is more versatile than a lot of seats as it can be adjusted to a range of heights very easily. The seat is very padded and so supports a young baby well. The 5 point harness is a great feature for added security and allows you to worry about getting food in the mouth, rather than whether or not they will slip the seat!
I love ... ...so easily with handy storage for the tray at the back. It makes getting my daughter in and out of the seat very easy as I don't have to feed her wriggly legs through holes. It also means that she doesn't have to have the tray on and can just sit at the table which she loves!
It is very sturdy and stable which means it is quite heavy but it does fold down well and can be stored easily.
She looks very happy in it and it's dual phase cushions and ...

Advantages: Very sturdy, very versatile and adjustable Disadvantages: Quite Heavy
What a great chair! We visited several shops to look at the highchairs and this one stood out as the most useful. Some of the colour schemes are quite bright but we went for a mix of green, grey and blue - funky but not over the top. We got it through the other day and it took less than 5 minutes to build - it is so sturdy. The height is 5 way adjustable, the backrest has 3 positions (inlc 1 which is practically horizontal) and the footrest has 4 ... ...take the tray off (which has a food tray and a second plain tray) and adjust the height to suit our breakfast table when the little man is ready to join us at the table. It also comes with a tray which you fit on the back for drinks etc and the main tray can be stored easily on teh back of the highchair for storage. As our boy is only 3 months old there is an insert which goes in the seat to boost it for him - at 6 months ish we will take this out. ...

Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: Gimmicks not used
The Chicco Polly comes in a variety of colours and designs but you have to shop around to find them all.
It arrives "flat-pack" but is very easy to assemble. The chair has a double layer of padding so it can be made bigger as the child grows. I like the way the straps fit ensuring that your baby won't wriggle out. The foot rest has various settings all the way up to horizontal, making is comfortable for your baby. The actual seat also reclines which ... ...be bolt upright. On the other hand, I have not used the full recline, but I suppose it could be used for napping after a big meal.
The tray comes off simply and slides out, (which you can do one-handed), so you can put your baby in the seat. The tray is easlily removed for cleaning. The seat padding is also easily wiped clean.
I thought the side tray for my cup of tea would be useful as would the storage pouch on the back but so far these have ...

Advantages: None that I am now prepared to promote Disadvantages: Dangerous design
"Looks good, but hidden dangers !!"
We did a lot of research, looked at lots of reviews and thought we had made the right choice. There was a great range of colours, easy to assemble and use... great the £100 was worth it for the high chair. 10 days later we have taken it back due to the hidden problem, that nearly caused us to scald our daughter with hot food. Buyer beware !! The chair on ours slipped down the legs and crased to the floor, sliding ... ...was a shock to all of us, thankfully our baby was not hurt. We thought we had possibly assembled it incorrectly... so re-did it again (its simple to assemble but we wanted to make sure). The following day it happened again.. we have now taken it back to John Lewis, and advised them of the problem. The manufacturer was not bothered when I called them to let them know. Because of this, I have zero rated the product and would strongly RECOMMEND that ...

Advantages: Versatile; very adjustable Disadvantages: Pricey; not so safe when folded up
...to splash out on the Chicco Polly as we wanted something that was versatile and safe. The Polly is certainly that.
The shoulder straps are adjustable to fit a couple of heights, and clips into the waist strap like a 5-point harness. The seat itself has numerous height adjustments and the foot rest can also be moved to different angles and heights.
The tray safely clips into place into one of several positions to cater for the "ahem" larger baby. ... ...the back leg of the chair for putting things out of baby's reach (and sight), although it becomes a bit of a pain to take on and off if you are like us and are constantly putting the high chair in and out of the car when visiting family. On this note the chair is rather heavy, but folds down well.
Each of the four wheels has a brake, and the tray has a top layer that unclips, so you only need to take this to the kitchen for cleaning, rather than ...

Advantages: well padded and good 5 point harness(just as well) Disadvantages: Dodgy height adjustment mechanism makes it unsafe
I liked all the features HOWEVER
The seat was often lopsided and needed adjusting so the height adjustment would lock into place properly.
While my son was sitting in the chair one side suddenly dropped, before i could lock it back in to place the seat dropped down to the floor with my son still in it, bypassing the safety mechanism.
We both got a huge shock but luckily my son was not hurt. I had always been very careful to check the seat was ... ...must be a design fault as i now have a replacement chair which was assembled by the shop supervisor and have had to adjsut one side back into place already and i only got it today.

Advantages: Reclines and has different height settings Disadvantages: Awkward to move with only 2 wheels
...my highchair and discovered the Chicco Polly. I think it is fab. It reclines back so I have been able to feed my daughter in it since before she could sit unaided. It also has different height settings so it doesn't matter where you are sitting your baby is at the right height for you to feed.
