Disadvantages: quite disturbing imagery for young people

I was first introduced to this novel as a "set book" for my English lit. GCSE when I was 14. I began reading it because I had to, and expected it to be the same old boring stuff we were always given. - boy was I in for a shock! This is a book for teenagers that I studied at the age of 14 but I loved it so much I had to buy as an adult. Advantages: shows how thigs could be after a nuclear war
Disadvantages: has bleak oulooks and vivid images of things children shouldn't be exposed to

this book is excellent. i have recenlty had to read this for english as one of our 'set-books'. Been the bookworm that i am i read it the first day i got it and read it in <4 hours. once i strated i couldn't put it down. from the first two pages to the last two pages thetre is always something to keep you interseted and wanting to keep reading. It's a great read and easy to pick up the story lines and an easy novel to either just pick up the surface ... Read review
