David Hemery and Kriss Akabusi are household names (for athletics lovers at least) in the world of British 400m hurdling. The question on many peoples minds, for those that follow the sport, is whether Rawlinson can make it 'big time'like the other two did? With the build up to the Edmonton World Champs, it seems the perfect opportunity to make a mark on the world stage. Chris Rawlinson is one of the few medal hopefuls for Great Britain. He certainly has the talent of getting a medal but he will struggle to win a gold at Sydney this year. He performs at his best at major championships rather than some of the Grand Priz events. Domestically there aren't many competitors except for the young Anthony Borsumato. Technically he clears the hurdles very well and has learned to hurdle off both feet. He is most strongest coming off the final bend were he often gains a comfortable lead. Indeed he will be most disappointed if he doesn't at least get a bronze medal. ... more
