My family have been Churchill members for some eleven years and have never had an accident until last year. My girlfriend was driving her Corsa along the road when a driver pulled out of a lay-by without looking. The damage was fairly minimal. The nearside wing was crushed. We rang Chruchills and told them what had happened. They asked for the particulars of the accident over the phone then asked us whether we would be available to take delivery ...
...margin. The only drawback with Churchill is that they don't, as a rule, insure powerful or performance cars. They also have a CLAS policy which covers all legal fees associated with an accident. This saves the embarisment of having to pay for your own solicitor should you need to contest anything outside a policy's normal cover. I have been with Churchill insurance since 1991 and they have never caused me any concern. Their staff are very helpful and their quotes are always around the lowest. I drive a Vauxhall Corsa at the moment and Churchill was at least £40 cheaper than the AA. But price isn't the only factor. A year back we had an accident. We've been with Churchill now for 3 years, and admiteddly the only reason we're still with them is because no-one else will touch us with 23ft barge pole, however, it's not all bad. For starters, their premiums were very competitive when we changed our car from a 1.2 Seat Ibiza to a 2.0l Mondeo GLX. The premium actualyl went down, despite the bigger engine and higher value of the car, although this was probably because it wasn't some foreign crap ...
...been his fault. However, Churchill decided that it had been his fault and as a result we lost another 2 years claims - taking us down to nothing. No surprise then that the renewal came through for £1300 fully comp. Whenever we've had to ring them, the staff have been polite and helpful and have quickly resolved any problems.
