    I've been purchasing my motor insurance from Churchill for a number of years now. My initial reason for contacting Churchill for an insurance quote was the catchy bulldog adverts, you know the ones, voiced by Vic Reeves - Oh no, no, no, no and Oh yes. However, once I'd contacted them I discovered there was more to this company than a catchy advert. I've always been impressed by their levels of customer service regarding setting up policies, change of car and change of address, not to mention their competitive rates.     Churchill passionate about insurance, so their slogan says. Really I say how about passionate about being totally unhelpful! We had a car accident 11th August this year on the way back from holiday in Devon. We`d travelled about half an hour and ended up as car 2 in a line of 4 who had a bump..well number 4 car drove into the back of us all. I was taken from the scene in an ambulance leaving husband and kids with the mess to sort out. They were fine when initially told about the accident saying that we could try to get overnight accommodation etc. So car was taken from the scene under police ... more

    As a new driver (I only past three weeks ago), I had to shop around quite a lot to find an insurance company to cover me as a learner driver. The challenge was to find someone who would provide fully comp for a reasonable price, without having to involve parents as a policy holder. The website I used orignally was www.confused.com, an absolutely fantastic website that will help you find the perfect company for you, without taking a fee. Basically, you register by typying in all your details of the car, age, name etc on their website and they take this information to all the companies ... more

    One year and one month ago I had my insurance revoked from Dial Direct after their system did not recognise the post-code for my new house I had just moved into. Obviously I started phoning all the 0800 numbers getting insurance quotes (since you must be insured by law!) - but alas, because most other insurance companies' systems could not find the new post-code I could not be insured through them either. From a limited number of insurance companies I took the quote from Churchill (which I had received via "insure direct"/Lloyds TSB). Their system had the ability to ignore the post-code since ... more

    When it comes to car insurance, i'm afraid i'm a bit lazy. Don't get me wrong, i do have insurance but i haven't got the time to shop around and find not just the cheapest quote but also value for money. I've been driving for 9 years now and even when i've bought a new car. i've just gone along with the same company. A friend of mine told me i was stupid and could be saving money by getting quotes from other companies. But i was settled with what i already had.     My family have been Churchill members for some eleven years and have never had an accident until last year. My girlfriend was driving her Corsa along the road when a driver pulled out of a lay-by without looking. The damage was fairly minimal. The nearside wing was crushed. We rang Chruchills and told them what had happened. They asked for the particulars of the accident over the phone then asked us whether we would be available to take delivery of a courtesy car within the next two days.     I have been with Churchill insurance since 1991 and they have never caused me any concern. Their staff are very helpful and their quotes are always around the lowest. I drive a Vauxhall Corsa at the moment and Churchill was at least £40 cheaper than the AA. But price isn't the only factor. A year back we had an accident. A fellow pulled out of a lay-by right into our path causing minimal, but unsightly, damage to our nearside front wing. We arrived home and rang up Churchill's claim department.     I have a 1997 renault clio panache 5 door which I bought brand new, with 2 years free insurance. When this became due for renewal, the existing insurers, RAC sent me a renewal for £680. I was astonished at how high this was, I was a 21 yr old female with 3 yrs no claims bonus, and the car's engine was only a 1.2, hardly a GTI ! I phoned loads of big name insurance companies, and the cheapest I found was Norwich Union, who quoted £400, until I tried an online quote from Churchill, I was staggered at the quote and couldn't believe it was true. £212 fully comprehensive !     We've been with Churchill now for 3 years, and admiteddly the only reason we're still with them is because no-one else will touch us with 23ft barge pole, however, it's not all bad. For starters, their premiums were very competitive when we changed our car from a 1.2 Seat Ibiza to a 2.0l Mondeo GLX. The premium actualyl went down, despite the bigger engine and higher value of the car, although this was probably because it wasn't some foreign crap but who knows. When I managed to wrap the mondeo around a lampost (which didn;t take a lot of doing I admit....) they were very quick at sorting out ... more

    THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE DEALT WITH. . PLEASE THINK VERY CAREFULLY, ESPECIALLY AFTER THEY GIVEN YOU A SUPER CHEAP QUOTE, BECAUSE YOU WILL PAY IN HASSLE IF YOU HAVE THE MISFORTUNE TO CLAIM.
