    Disadvantages Disadvantages high apr on payments, have to ask twice to get cheapest quote

    I have recently taken out a policy with churchill insurance and i have to give credit to churchill as they were able to provide me with the lowest quote out of all the insurance companies. i have tried over 50 companies in order to get my quote down to £430.95 with 4 years ncb. I was quite suprised that my quotes were coming out so high with 4 years ncd but i am under 25 and do own a 2001 registered car. i did try phoning churchill first of all and the gave me a quote in the region of £490. I then got a quote from their website and their quote came down by £60. I do feel a little disappointed ... more

    Where do I start, first off they were more than happy to take my money for the insurance, but when I came to renew my policy elsewhere, thats when the trouble really started. Initially after first insuring with them I had trouble getting documents from them, having to make four phone calls in two weeks to receive my insurance policy. Every person that I spoke to said "there must be a problem with your post because we have done everything right".     I have used many insurance companies, but never have I been as satisfied as with Churchill. It is not simply that their rates are most competitive, in fact once of the cheapest I was quoted, but it is the extent of the cover and the service you get. This service is second to none. Any querries are delt with promptly by knowledgeable staff, clearly well trained and eager to please. One very important fact which ought to be mentioned is the European cover offered by Churchill.     I have a month or so to go on my car insurance, so I have started ringing up for car insurance. I tried Churchill Car Insurance after it was recommended to me by my friend and since my parents are insured with them. When I rang up I had to pick some options to make sure you went through the right person. I had to pick that option and when I got through the person was quite friendly, he was called ‘Steve’ he must have asked my twenty questions or so, like make of car, engine size and then more personnel questions like, previous jobs, occupation, income etc. Most of which I thought ... more

    I have been an extremely satisfied motor insurance customer of Churchill's for a number of years. I first used Churchill after they gave a highly competitive quote on my then new (used) car. It was the first time I wanted fully comprehensive insurance and was dreading the cost, however Churchill under cut other companies by over £150. After my second year with them decided it wasn't worth bothering to shop around as Churchill cannot be beaten for my needs.     A few years ago I bought a VW Scirocco. Can you believe some companies won't even insure this model? (It's a coupe, and it's quick, but it's hardly a Ferrari!). After several phone calls I insured it with Churchill, their quote being £100 less than the first company I tried. Last year somebody ran into the back of me, just when I was about to sell the car! A major crisis was averted by the speed and efficiency with which Churchill dealt with my claim, and the approved repairer did a superb job.     Disadvantages Disadvantages no 'one' named person deals with claim, too many call transfers to different departments

    Having recently changed to Churchill (feb 2007)after being with Norwich Union for some years, i have been pretty dissapointed with the service I have had. I changed cars last year and having got a much smaller car, Churchill beat my NU renewal quote by a considerable margin, which was a good start. A month ago I was rear ended after stopping at a red traffic light, the guy behind didn't. Only minor damage, less than the excess, and the other driver admitted liability straight away.     My dear wife has been with Churchill Insurance for her motor insurance for 4 years now. Initially when you choose an insurance company you do so on one premise – the quote. It is an understandable thing to do but I hope that Ciao will be able to build a comprehensive database which will help customers choose their insurance provider with more information with which to make their choice.     8 bloody years with Norwich Union no fault claims. So I phoned them up again to ask how much they wanted to insure my new car (seat Ibiza chill 1.4) also reviewed! That'll be £514.88 Sir! "What!! My Escort 1.6 was only £380.00!" "Sorry sir that’s our best offer" So after a bit of cursing I sit down in from of the PC and search UK insurances! - There are a lot of them!     The advertisement and marketing campaign for Churchill is slick and the best for any motor insurance company. In London Churchill advertisements are found on the back of London buses and are eye-catching. The television advertisement is fantastic. Having an animated dog marketing the product is great innovation. The dog has great character and charisma and imparts a feel-good factor about Churchill. Churchill also has a reputation for getting a good deal for young people. The web site has a nice shade of colours and was easy to navigate.
