...(well, new to me) called Cif Bath and Shower.
In fact, I can’t even take credit for that, to be totally honest. It was my wee 10-year-old daughter who threw it into the basket during our weekly shop at the local supermarket.
~ ~ “Cif” is the new name for an old favourite called “Jif”, and its manufactured by Lever Brothers, who have factories in England and here in my home city of Dublin.
Here’s what the ‘blurb’ ... ...with its powerful trigger action, easily removes grime, soapscum, limescale, and watermarks. No rubbing required. Leaves your bath clean and smooth, and taps, tiles and showers reflecting a brilliant shine”
My, my, tell me more.
Right you are then. It’s easy to use.
Simply spray it on, leave the chemicals to work their magic for a minute or so, and then rinse it off. If you have stubborn limescale they recommend that you repeat the ...

...of product altogether.
Enter Cif Bath & Shower, formerly known as 'Jif Bath & Shower', a product from Lever Brothers, the market leaders in all things household cleanliness.
You can get your Cif in two forms, a spray in a trigger-action plastic bottle, and a mousse in a can. I've tried both and find the spray to be both more effective and cheaper to use.
According to the spiel on the bottle, Cif B&S removes 'grime, soap scum, limescale and watermarks'. ... ...that my bath and raps will be left 'reflecting a brilliant shine'.
To use, spray liberally on the area you want to clean and then leave for a mo for the cleaning chemicals to do their business. Then just rinse off.
But is it that simple? Well, yes and no.
If your bath has no nasty scummy rings and your taps aren't gunged up or rusty around the bottom, then yes, simple rinsing is fine. In fact, you'll be amazed at the sparkle and cleanliness that ...

Advantages: A Pleasant Smell Disadvantages: Could leave a residue
...thought that I would give Cif a try. I have used a great many spray cleansers but I thought that I would give a good old-fashioned cream cleanser another try. My Mum gets through bottles of this product and swears by it! I had always known this in its previous life as Jif. Why they had to change the name, I don't know?! but, anyway, here goes!
Cif is an Active Cream Kitchen and Bathroom cleanser with bleach (met bleek), as it says on the bottle.
... ...They even have a Cif Careline to ring with any comments or problems. I do not think that many cleansers have that on their packaging!
So after this long list of what you CANT use the product on, you must be wondering, what CAN I use this product on!?
Kitchen and bathroom tiles, your bath, sink, and toilet, as long as they are not 'worn' enamel, cooker top, and any other kitchen appliances, as long as they are not on the above list of 'no, no's!'.

...again and well it was Cif the new daft name for the product. Oh well I wonder how much it is in here I thought, the bathroom is well past its clean by date. £1.49, flipping eck, I must really stop using this shop and get my backside into gear. I stood there for a moment thinking Tescos or Spar, jigger it, I'll go for this, too flipping cold to wander into town to Tescos as Spar is just around the corner but boy are those prices dear.
I get to the ... ...the Metallic Yellow can of Cif Bathroom Mousse and it has the brand name on the front and this is lemon fresh and has half cut lemons on the front of it it with bubbles on it. It also has got the fact that it helps prevent lime scale and anti calcair and kalk in it. It also has a rounded yellow pull of lid and a spray rather like your hair mousse spray. This is a large can and holds 500ml of pure fun.
I look on the back of the can and there are ...

Advantages: good results, nice packaging, cheap Disadvantages: -
...round my complaining thanks to Cif previously Jif.
I have used numerous bath cleaning products but none quite do the job like Cif Bath mousse. They come in two scents Lemon Fresh which I love or the one I am currently using Arctic Fresh. So what the product says it will do, help prevent limescale. This mousse can be used on plastic, enamel and chromed surfaces which pretty much covers most baths.
So the first thing I noticed about Cif was the packaging. ... ...very nice with the green cif logo and arctic fresh written with a watery wave surrounding the test. I think the can looks sophisticated with the metallic silver and turquoise, it's very eye catching.
So the instructions to the mousse are as follows. You first must give it a shake so that it comes out like a spray instead of big clumps of mousse. You then spray it a little away from the bath walls to get an even coating of mouse around the whole ...

...shelf is a canister of Cif Lime Zest.
It's new name does nothing to confuse our heroine and she quickly grabs it off the shelf, wrestles it into her basket and makes for the till.

Mrs mop dons on her trusty rubber gloves, you men who have ... ...can and shakes it vigourously then the cool lime foam squirts out over the grimey residue of past bathing.
Damn the men in Mrs mops life who don't clean the bath after themselves. Mrs mop waits paitiently for the evil grime to shrink and die, then gets the shower and jets warm water over the foam, this rinses away the last traces of the evil grime. The bath is now gleaming and smelling of limes.
Once again things in the bathroom are under control ...
