Citibank visa used to be know as the associates visa card. As I had not been registered on the electoral roll for a few years I had had trouble obtaining a credit card in the past. However I contacted the associates and sent them proof of where I had been living and they allowed me a credit card with a low credit limit (£300). However this came at a cost a £18 annual charge and a higher than normal interest rate (sorry cannot tell you exact %’s). ...

Cash withdrawls were also costly at £5.00 a time. The interest rate on cash withdrawls was also higher than for purchases. I decided to ask for an application although didn’t have too much hope of being approved because I was new to the UK (1 year).
