Advantages Advantages Well specified for the price

Disadvantages Disadvantages Car sold with only one key and no index card to order another. Radio aerial was missing, an easy dealer replace

I was on the lookout for a small car for my regular commute between Solihull and Cheltenham I bought a used 03 plate1.4SX in wicked red from a local dealer in Hall Green Birmingham. I have to admit to committing to a new Honda Jazz CVT as the car of choice. After a few discussions with my wife I downsized the budget, basically the car would have to self finance itself on the savings made in petrol on my Laguna II 1.8 around 120 quid per month. And the wicked red looked good. 23K miles on the clock. I have always been sceptical of Citroen cars as they tend to be sold like DFS sofas, with ... more

Advantages Advantages Nearly 80 mpg, Comfortable, Easy to drive, Well equiped

Disadvantages Disadvantages 4 seats, reverse gear sometimes difficult, easliy dented

I have driven the C2 1.4 HDI SX for just over 6 months (from new) and covered 9,000 miles. The car is easy to drive and very comfortable for a little car. The Car appears bigger on the inside than it looks form the outside. The C2 is only available in a 3 door but has a reasonable rear legg room as the rear seats are higher up than the front. The front drivers seat is completely adustable and will allow a 6'5" driver to sit without touching the roof (but the rear legg room is reduced). The boot has enough room to cope with the average weekly shop as the space is used vertically and if you need ... more

Advantages Advantages styling, handling, larger boot than C1, looks sporty, handles well

Disadvantages Disadvantages only 3 doors available (the C2 is the 3-door version of C3)

Unlike Citroen C1, the C2 is a victim of poor (or none, in fact) advertising. It's the most neglected model. The C1 and C3 are aclaimed, but would they be so popular if they were not promoted tenaciously? I don't think so. The C2 is basically a C3 with 3 instead of 5 doors and a different design. So if you do not need 5 doors, than it's a suitable choice. The C1, in comparison is cheaper than the C2, but its interior is cheaper, too. The C1 is underpowered, while the 1.4 HDi C2 is more powerfull, yet very fuel-efficient engine. It definitely looks sporty. Fuel consumption for the 1.4 diesel is ... more

    5 Stars Quick review of Citroen C2 1.4 HDi SX 3dr by jamestan1 14/06/2009
It's excellent! It looks and handles great. I was thinking of buying a Citroen C1, but reconsidered - C2 is more practical and a better car generally. It's also more sporty.

    Advantages Advantages Fuel economy, parking

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor access to the rear seats

First saw this car in France last year and thought it looked good, when it came to this country I compared it to other small cars i.e. getz and yaris but this just felt good to drive with the 1.4 HDI turbo diesel engine, It holds the road well and the steering is not too light so you can feel what’s happening. There is plenty of room for two people, I like the fact that you can fold the rear seats up if you need extra space and the rear door opens in two halves. I don’t like people getting in the back because of the access with it only having 3 doors. I got the SX model which comes with air ... more

Advantages Advantages Very nippy and fun to drive. Very economical

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only a small car, doesnt really suit for a family car

Ok so first off! I do own a 1.4Hdi citroen C2 so i know what im talking about (well i like to think i do anyway) and will try to be as honest as possible. Ive had my c2 for over two years now. I got it when i was 17 and learning to drive. Citroen are known for having their problems and i admit i have had a couple. They arent major though, got the car back after a recall and the radio didnt work, and the interior heating system broke last year, not very helpful when its winter and you car steams up and there is nothing to demist it!!! Other than that it has been a great little car for me ... more
