Advantages: comfort, spacious & luxurious interior Disadvantages: The niggly things that keep going wrong
After test driving the C5 at a local dealership, my wife and I were sat in the car and I decided (with my wifes blessing) that the C5 was going to get our hard earned cash over the Laguna. I had wanted to buy a diesel, but the salesman offered me a deal on a 1.8 SX petrol model that I couldn't refuse. In April of 2002 we placed our order and then waited for the dealers to ring, to come and collect it. The day arrived we picked it up and on our first ... ...was over our old Primera. Over the following days other things then become apparent, for example how luxurious the interior is, with its wood effect dash and door cappings the grey velour trim was very smart, the luxury touches like leather bound steering wheel, puddle lights in the front doors, polished door sill cappings and tailored overmats all made us feel we had made the right choice. Advantages: Too many to mention Disadvantages: Looks - I don't like it

This car is sci-fi in action!
Ok, it has some features that were available on more expensive cars for quite a while already, like tyre-pressure monitors and automatic wind-screen wipers (both those features are available from Mercedes for their top-spec E-class-models as well as for the S-class for quite some time now). But even apart from this - the C5 is just amazing - ... ...space for rear-passengers thanks to Citroen having almost done away with the drive-shaft-bit in between driver and passenger. Ample storage space (e.g. driver's AND passengers glove box and under-seat-storage) and the biggest interior space in it's class, as well as GPS as standard definitely make it a class leader.
To put it all together quite simply - this car is Sci-fi come alive. If you like gadgets - you'll love this car. Just get in and be ...
