Advantages: A smooth, spacious, safe ride. Disadvantages: Plenty of TLC required.
Big, diesel car - got what I wanted. Big and sturdy, with a decent turbo which I rarely used. I found this car to be one for cruising. No need to show off, just turn up the Sony 10xCD changer.
Doors and boot all well built and reassuring to use. Electrics ensure hassle free operation when you're in. Power steering light as a feather. Features (vary with model) appropriate, certainly not fussy.
And the suspension - hydraulic system provides you ... ...at higher speeds.
But the seats seem to lack the proper support. Although they're fully adjustable, 6'2" driver found driving position to be a pain on hour+ journeys. Left-foot rest helped a little but additional lumber cushion made little difference.
All in all, turbo diesel economical, fast, sturdy & (although looks like a fish/terradactyl from choice angles) a remarkable, less-than-common vehicle to own. DJAyresArp'03 ...
