...no obvious ill-effects. Of course, Clairol also recommend that you use it in conjunction with their own particular brand of conditioner, but I haven’t fallen for this particular marketing ploy.
~ ~ Other info that you might (or might not) find interesting, is that the plastic bottle is made out of 25% recycled (and recyclable) plastic. (So you can tell yourself that you’re doing your little bit to save the environment)
And the flowers and herbs ... ...no pesticides or petrochemicals. It doesn’t contain any animal products either, so is suitable for use by vegetarians.
~ ~ It cost Euro 3.34 here in our local Tesco’s supermarket, and I’ve used just over half a bottle in three weeks, so a little goes a long way. Even more so, when you take into account the wee lass has probably been using it now and again as well. Next time you notice the dreaded “snowflakes on your collar”, why not give it a whirl, ...

...The clever people at Clairol have added something I’ve never seen on a shampoo bottle before to their packaging. The actual colour of the shampoo is a greeny blue which reminds me of the sea, but I think it’s supposed to remind you of either Iris’ or chrysanthemum’s as when you look at the front of the bottle, you are faced with a picture of either an Iris or chrysanthemum (sorry I’m not a flower buff so couldn’t tell you one from the other) which ... ...the back of the bottle.
This is a great touch and gives a great talking point to the shampoo.
The actual shampoo is suitable for all hair types and contains “Iris, chrysanthemum and Mulberry root in Mountain spring water”, hence the picture.
The bottle comes fixed with a green flip top cap which stay fairly clean after many uses, but you may find a bit of residue. I personally prefer the stay clean nozzles you find on shower gels.
The bottle ...

...instead. It is made by clairol and is suitable for all hair types. This particular one that I am using is an anti-dandruff shampoo which has iris, chrysanthemum and mulberry root mountain spring water. I do get dandruff occasionally.
The shampoo comes in a 250ml clear plastic bottle with a dark green lid, and you can see that the shampoo is a transparent light green. One thing I noticed about the bottle is that from the front you can see through ... ...the back of the sticker placed on the back of the bottle which tells you about the shampoo. It looks very good when the bottle is full.
I have never used any of the other herbal essences shampoos, but the label on the back of the bottle tells me that they are all made with natural organic herbs and botanicals that come to us in pure mountain spring water, this will leave your hair feeling refreshed, revived and full of shine. *Clairol Herbal Essences Shampoo Anti Dandruff*
--------------------------------
Herbal Essences are a new concept in shampoo - they indulge your nostrils with a strong, wonderful smell, waking you up, and making shampooing your hair a wonderful thing. Gone are the days where you bring out the Vosene, put a peg on your nose, and get to work lathering it up. Oh no, now you want to wash your hair all day. Over and over again, receiving pleasure and ... ...*Its Packaging*

This shampoo comes to you in a delightful clear bottle, where you can see the colour shining through. There are flowers and herbs on each one, and this Anti Dandruff shampoo has green liquid, and some sort of bush on the label, which makes it very appealing.

Advantages: Smells great, gets rid of dandruff Disadvantages: Have to share with hubby
I've definately got the urge to herbal, as the advert says. And wouldn't it be great to have hunky, goodlooking men to wash your hair for you. Wishful thinking?
I have been using this shampoo for quite a bit now and am very happy with the results. I actually bought it because I wanted a shampoo that would ease an itchy scalp. What I didn't want was an anti dandruff shampoo that stinks like Head and shoulders does. After reading the backs and smelling ... ...It is in a see through bottle which has clear labelling with the name of the company, the type of product and what hair type it is suitable for. The particular one I got was 250ml and cost about £1. I bought it from Savers but it is available in a wide variety of shops.
The scent of this shampoo is Iris, Chrysanthemum and mulberry root and it is actually in spring water. I love the smell and it makes the bathroom as well as your hair smell lovely.

Advantages: Does the job, smells nice, cheap Disadvantages: None
I can't stand dandruff - having black hair, it is very visible and makes me feel unclean and dirty! I don't get it often but I use an anti-dandruff shampoo anyway, to keep it away. I normally use Head & Shoulders but saw a 2-for-1 offer on Herbal Essences products in Superdrug so decided to give it a go!

It has all the usual blurb on the back about 'natural organic herbs' and promises to leave your hair feeling 'refreshed, revived, and full of shine'. There are no animal by-products and the herbs are grown under certified organic conditions. I don't know how much difference that would make to your hair, but it sounds impressive, anyway!
The smell isn't as strong or as sweet as the other HE products. ...

Advantages: it actually works! Disadvantages: none, that I know of
Clairol Herbal Essences Anti-Dandruff Shampoo: it actually does work! To be honest I only bought this as I needed some more shampoo, felt like a change (from the usual anti-dandruff shampoos I use, which only work for a matter of hours), and it was the best value for money at the time.
Now for the boring stuff.... I bought it for 98p from Wilkinson in Beeston. There's a really long list of ingredients, here it is, don't fall asleep!

...I like the fact that Clairol state that the shampoo contains no animal by-products (you can never be sure,a nd as a vegetarian that is important to me) - also a proportion, 25%, of the packaging is recycled, and no petrochemicals are used - not perfect environmentally but it's a gesture.

...for it.
She uses Clairol Herbal Essences Anti-Dandruff shampoo, I bought it from Body Lines for £1.15. It states on the bottle that it is for all hair types and contains Iris, Chrysanthemum and Mulberry Root in Mountain Spring Water.
Sounds good, so I showered my hair and found I didn’t need much shampoo to make a good lather. It smelt very fresh without being too over powering.
I rinsed it out and was surprised at how my hair felt, so soft ... ...but my hair is coloured and I usually find that when I rinse it feels very dry and I need to add conditioner to get it to resemble hair again rather than straw. I dried it as normal and the end result was very healthy looking hair that smelt good and felt really clean and shiny.

When i first brought this product i was unsure how it would suit my hair as it is very fine and most products tend to make it go very static. After the first wash using this product theres was a noticible difference to the texture of my hair. Firstly it wasnt static and secondly it felt gorgeous. All ...

I love the adverts for Herbal, sorry, 'erbal Essences shampoo.
Having said that, the product is sold on marketing rather than because it is good. I tend to buy it because it jumps out of the supermarket shelf, and also because it smells so nice. I've always loved the smell of the Herbal Essences range of products, so when I needed an anti-dandruff shampoo I decided to go for this one.
It says on the back of the bottle that it will "leave your hair feeling refreshed, revived and full of shine", saying again further down the label that it will "leave your hair luxuriously soft and healthy looking". I can't believe it's talking about the same shampoo...
As usual, the great smell that you ... ...but the actual shampoo itself did.
It helped get rid of some of my dandruff, but it didn't clear it up altogether. And the worst part for me - it left my hair bone dry. Even with conditioner, my hair wasn't as shiny or strong or moisturised.
I switched to Head & Shoulders, and what a difference! But you can read more about that in my Head & Shoulders review.

I've tried many brands of anti-dandruff shampoos, most of which seem to strip your hair of all life, smell horrid and make you feel like a medical freak putting strong medicine in your hair.
