You see...I get these urges...

Advantages: Smells great, leaves your hair feeling wonderful
Disadvantages: A little more expensive than most shampoos

...products. Like many other firms, Clairol have tapped into the growing number of people who prefer to buy natural products, those who are looking to purge chemicals and toxins in favour of the benefits of "earthy" alternatives. So, to allow your hair to be 'one with nature', you would naturally (pardon the pun) prefer to buy a shampoo that contains things like Aloe vera, camomile and passion flower. But what are all these things for? After a little ...

It can also be used on blemishes and dandruff. Used cosmetically, Aloe vera softens the skin." Camomile - "It is used as a fragrance in herbal skin care products. It had also been used in shampoos because of its property to add lustre to the ...

This is one urge I can tell you about..

Advantages: Smells wonderful and my hair feels great
Disadvantages: None so far

...50ml plastic bottles arrived containing Clairol Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner. As it was nearly my birthday and I had run out of both shampoo and conditioner these arrived just in time. That way they would tide me over until my birthday when I guessed (correctly) that I would get lots of smellies including shampoo and conditioner. So was I impressed? The short answer is a definite yes, and I’ll tell you why. The shampoo is the Herbal ...
...in a plastic bottle, which is a miniature replica of the standard 200ml sized bottles in the supermarket. There is a picture of daisy like flowers on the front, which I think is camomile, but I feel sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong. Incidentally I understand that the 200ml bottles cost around the £2 mark. The first thing that struck me as I opened the bottle was the glorious fragrance. It really does smell fresh and flowery. The contents ...

The urge

Advantages: Smells great
Disadvantages: Doesn't do as much as it promises

I'm normally very devoted to my shampoo (John Frieda Sheer Blonde), but had to use this when I forgot to take mine home with me. It's a shampoo which has been around for years, and I used to use when I was younger, but had forgotten what it was like. The packaging of Herbal Essences is fairly boring - a clear bottle, with a picture of some flowers, and the name all in fairly boring type. It has a squeezy dispenser making it fairly easy to use, and ...
...your hands. The smell of this shampoo is divine, and I think it's best quality. It's refreshing, fruity and tangy. When I say fruity, I don't mean in a fake, chemicaly way, but in a really natural way. The smell is quite strong however, and stays on they hair for quite a while - at least a day. The smell also lingers in the bathroom as well, for hours! I had to shampoo my hair twice with this brand, as the first time I did I didn't feel that my ...

Urine, Lager and Orgasms in the Shower

Advantages: A little goes a long way. The "just washed" look lasts longer than with other shampoos.
Disadvantages: No orgasms in the shower for me, or a hunky man coming to wash my hair :-(

...(hence the adverts, maybe). Clairol (who make Herbal Essences) claim to only use ingredients of the highest quality, which are derived from pure renewable plant sources that are grown under certified organic conditions, also without the use of petrochemicals or pesticides. To be honest, before using this shampoo, I was quite sceptical of the “organic” (as they put it) experience in the shower, but I am willing to try anything (almost) ...
...conditioner I followed it with Clairol Herbal Essences Conditioner, as they, of course, recommend for best results. It was while drying my hair that I started to notice the difference, in the smell department, to other shampoos. The fresh, herbal smell was still evident, as it also was once dry *and* several hours later! Did my hair look and feel any different? Well, I certainly thought so, but the real test was when I went downstairs, to the men ...

OOH, AAH.......HMMmmmmm....

Advantages: Efficient at its job, average price
Disadvantages: Nothing special, horrible TV ads

...contained two small bottles of Clairol Herbal Essences, one shampoo and one conditioner. I’ll tell you about the shampoo in this opinion. I must admit I had misgivings about this as firstly I hate those TV adverts, then I opened the bottle and took a sniff to be hit by a strong chemically herbal smell and lastly because the shampoo is meant for normal hair. NORMAL HAIR?! MINE??? Well that’s a laugh, it’s as far from normal as you can get really! ...
...order and I find the conditioner more important than the shampoo so I gave it a go anyway. The sample bottle contained 50ml and was just a mini version of the full-size (200ml?) bottles. I liked the design where the back of the label showed through the clear plastic bottle displaying a picture of flowers/herbs (don’t ask me what they are!) Oh, I just looked at the label, the picture must be of the Camomile, Aloe Vera and Passion Flower it professes ...

Silky, Soft feel..

Advantages: Soft, Silky and fresh
Disadvantages: Not quite the YES! YES! YES!

...well one of them anyway, Clairol Herbal Essences Moisture Balancing Shampoo. Clairol, who make Herbal Essences Moisture Balancing Shampoo, is one of Procter & Gamble company trade names. Clairol not only do shampoo and conditioners but also have brands in most things from make up to hairdryers. ...i picked up a bottle Clairol Herbal Essences Moisture Balancing Shampoo and Clairol Herbal Essences Moisturising conditioner, which is priced the same as the shampoo. I choose these two as i have very thick, shoulder length hair, it is normal condition. Orgasmic....ummmm!?

Advantages: Smells great
Disadvantages: Works brilliantly for a while then dries up your hair.

Having read many opinions on Ciao about sites which offer a list of freebies I decided to check a few out. In doing so I applied for my free sample of Herbal Essences. I had never used Herbal Essences before and had only heard bad things about it plus I wasn't impressed by the adverts. You know the ones where the girls washing their hair are making sreaming noises implying that its orgasmic. Well, it isn't the fact that their having an orgasm through ...
...while washing it there is an unbeliveable ammount of suds. Sorry but no shampoo I have ever used has lathered up that well even if I pore half the bottle on to my hair so theres no way Herbal Essences can be any different, I thought. WRONG! How wrong could I be? Herbal Essences ability to lather up is amazing, it does it brilliantly. Even though I have very long hair I only use a 10p piece size ammount to wash my hair and I have found with many ...

nice smell

Advantages: smells nice...
Disadvantages: but smell soon fades

i first bought herbal essences shampoo a couple of months ago, probably due to the fact that the advert had been on tv so much, so i though i'd give it a go. i also loved the smell in the bottle, and the fact it was a two - in - one shampoo and conditioner i thought it would save time. when i first used it i loved the smell, and the way it left my hair, but i found out that the lovely smell soon fades, and by the next morning it had gone. i still ...

Advantages: my hair does not frizz and stays in tact
Disadvantages: none

this product shows immense standards. it cleans well, and smells delicious. it attracts people's attention for the smell. i was very pleased after using herbal essence shampoo once, and i used it again. it is hard for me to find shampoo that adjusts to my hair, because sometimes my hair 'goes wild' when using certain shampoos. i have been using herbal essence shampoo now for a long time now and have found no trouble. the bottles last long, and the ...

A new shine

...spotted a special offer of Clairol shampoos and decided to give it a go. I chose the moisture balance for normal hair. As I have got older the awful greasiness I suffered from has gone, thank goodness, anyone else remember Sunsilk lemon? Broke my heart when that was replaced with a new brand. Some of my lovely gold colour has gone too, but we can't have it all ways can we? I found the Clairol smell a bit strange but it is a natural smell and quite ...
...talking again, USE AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE! I know todays products are much gentler, but most of us use twice what we reallly need. Think of the environment! Those bubbles are lethal to water creatures in our rivers and if that doesn't motivate you, think of your purse! Sorry, back to Clairol. The shampoo lathered up really well and rinsed easily. I wash my hair about every third day and found I only needed one wash. I always use a conditioner to ...

Soft, gentle, natural shampoo

Advantages: Soft, nice-smelling, good value for money
Disadvantages: None

Clairol really seem to have got it right when it comes to hair. Not only do they make some of the very best hair-dye products around, but they also make this great shampoo. Herbal Essences burst onto the market a couple of years ago: suddenly it was everywhere, and places like Boots were doing BOGOF - Buy One Get One Free - offers on it. Well, I snapped up several shampoo and conditioner duos, thinking that if it was made by Clairol it had to be ...

And add to that the fact that it's great value for money, especially when compared to some of the 'designer' or 'name' shampoos like the very over-priced Charles Worthington, how can you go wrong?! ...

Clairol Herbal Essences

Advantages: Smells Georgeous
Disadvantages: hair needs washing too often

...her bottle of shampoo - Clairol Herbal Essences I thought I have got to try this? On my next shopping trip I purchased a bottle of herbal Essences for Normal to Oily Hair and the smell was beautiful like a summer day in the garden and it lathers great a small amount go's a long way. My hair is fairly normal but after about four to five days if I have not washed it it looks greecy, and because it it quite long I do not like to wash it too often ...
...my hair to dry. The only problem with Herbal Essences is that I get the greecy look about 36 hours after washing it, this means too many nights in washing my hair. If your hair is short or does not take to long to dry then this would be a good shampoo because you can smell the beautifull flowery smell everytime you move your head or standing in the breeze,it's lovely but I'm affraid I won't use is very often anymore. ...

Herbs for your hair

Advantages: Smells lovely, leaves hair feeling refreshed
Disadvantages: none

I decided to buy this shampoo mainly for the 'buy one get one free' offer. I have never, until now, used this shampoo. I was pleased with the buy, and am glad I purchased it!! The shampoo costs £1.99 for a 250ml bottle. The bottle is clear, so the shampoo itself is visible to see. The shampoo contains herbal essences with botanical shine complex. It also contains camomile, Aloe Vera and Passion Flower in Mountain Sprin Water. It smells lovely and ...
