Clairol Herbal Essences
Dry & Damaged Shampoo range Clairol's was first established 1931 by a chemist and his wife. The name of the company was taken a hair-coloring preparation the couple found while traveling in Europe. By 1950, Clairol became a household name and now an international product with a vast range of hair product, made even more famous by the catchphrase, "Does she…or doesn't she? Only her hairdresser knows for sure." As I have mentioned ... ...in my hair and am now being classed as 'middle aged' I have noticed my hair needs a very good shampoo & conditioner to keep the smooth, silky feeling and shine to it.
So when I noticed this range of Herbal Essences shampoo in my local supermarket I decided to give it a go. I brought it with the dry / damaged conditioner that is recommended as its partner.

Advantages: Lovely smell! Disadvantages: It follows me!!!
Well, the last few days I haven't had writers block, I've just been fed-up and slobbish. Can't be arssed to write. So, I pondered and pondered what to write an opinion on. I firstly though fragrance, didn't fancy it. Film? No. What else is there? Aha, shampoo! Yes, the thing you put in your hair in the mornings!
So, I had many to choose from. Should I do Nicky Clarke, I thought to myself. No, I haven't used that in ages. L'Oreal? No, not my kind ... ...is very me!!
So, Herbal Essences it is. A gorgeous shampoo, with an equally gorgeous conditioner. Let the opinion begin!
I feel as if Herbal Essences has always been there, next to my Armani and FCUK shower gel. Always sitting there, with its colourful and eye-catching bottle; but in fact, it hasn't been there as long as I think!
Herbal Essences, if I remember rightly, was one of the new shampoos in the United Kingdom. It had been around in the ...

Ladies and gentlemen may I present Herbal [pronounced "Urbal"] Essences Shampoo which is supposed to replenish coloured/ permed/ dry/ damaged hair… I don't know what it is with me and the old barnet but I seem to write quite a few opinions on hair products… So here we go with yet another…
PACKAGING AND OTHER DULL STUFF ... ...well known brand and comes in a flat fronted see though bottle with its name and description in white opaque type and a circle with herbal essences and a picture of a rose on it and there is also a gold ribbon type thing which proudly announce "with Botanical Shine complex"… well it doesn't proudly announce that but there is not a lot I can say to make the packaging sound exciting… its shampoo for heaven's sake! The picture above *is* of the product ...

Advantages: good trusted brand for years/decades Disadvantages: countless and unbelievable
...not for the ad but clairol was a good, trusted brand and i used it as a child and remembered it as something..mmm...very deliciously herbal. It used to be thick, concebtrated and creamy smooth...conditioner and shampoo. But this?
I'll never touch it ever!
THe gel like transparent substance may help to peer through bottles but it kills the entire experience and is rather clinical in texture amd effects.Lathers fast, bubbly but not luscious at all.Feels ... ...itself halfway through while still on the supermart shelf!
Just like washing your hair with plain gel mixed with a little stiff soda scented with wax.
I just can't believe this is a Clairol product!
By the way did they really put florals and herbs in there?Unbelievable!AWWFUL! ...

Advantages: Washes your hair Disadvantages: doesn't do much else
Until a few months ago, this shampoo was a regular in my beauty shelves. I alsway ended up buying one as they often have sales on it in Superdrug ( £.99p a bottle or else two for the price of one).
As a rule, I have three shampoos open at any one time. One is a specialist one, expensive and aiming to attack some horror or other which has besieged my locks-utter dryness, or too much oiliness at the roots...-. The other is a nourrishing one aimed ... ...last has more of an everyday, down to earth feel to it, its aim being just to wash my hair while not costing a fortune.
Into this last category fell Herbal Essences. Its appearance fits the role: a basic clear plastic bottle, cheap looking, with a dark green lid which twists open. The shampoo itself is pale pink and transparent. A totally unobtrusive product.
I used it on wet hair, applying a walnut sized amount with I massaged in for a minute ...

Advantages: fresh Disadvantages: there are no disadvantages
Clairol, Herbal Essences, has to be the best hair care product on the market. In my school year i was regularly perming and changing my hair colour, as we all know, years of this damages the hair in a big way, no matter how many time's i had it cut or restyled, it was always dry and out of control. Untill i found herbal essence, it was like coming across a gold mine, after just the first wash my hair was already in 50% better condition. It shone ... ...after using the product for some time mt hair is like the models on the advert!! Advantages: Very reasonable, smells good and does the job. Disadvantages: None really.
I really like this shampoo. I was a bit reluctant to try it at first as I'm not too keen on the adverts (all the women making silly noises!) but I bought it when it was on offer and now use it all the time. It normally costs around £1.99 for a 250ml bottle so at 2 for 1 it was a real bargin!
It smells really nice and you only need a small amount to cover all of your hair. It is also very good value for money as it goes such a long way. I wash my ... ...bottle us just coming to an end after buying it a couple of months ago so it has done really well. My hair is very dry and damaged due to excessive drying and straightening and this seemed to really help. It feels a lot smoother and glossier and has a nice shine to it after washing it. I also use the Herbal Essences conditioner with it. I would really recommend using this. It seems to work for me and at such a good price its worth a try to see if ...
