Advantages Advantages Initial smell on the hair

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Avoid, avoid, avoid!

There are certain products that come out that I get excited to try and when this came on offer at my local supermarket and my Mother bought it I was right happy to see it appear in my bathroom! I've seen the adverts and believed it's promises before I even tried it type of thing lol. The Packaging: 200ml (also available in 400ml looking the same) clear plastic bottle of which you can see the product through. It has an integrated bright green flip-top lid to the top of it and on the front all in white writing I'm told it is Herbal Essences 'Hello Hydration' Moisture & Shine Shampoo Orchid & ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice smell which lingers for a while, feels like a luxorious product to treat your hair with

Disadvantages Disadvantages Wont work miracles to moisturise your hair like the images in the advertisements (but nothing does

I saw a lot of promotion for the new Herbal Essences range, both on TV and at the supermarkets, so decided to treat myself to a few bottles whilst they were on offer. Herbal Essences is a brand I can say I trust, having never found any of their products less than satisfactory. Despite seeing some slightly negative comments on their Hello Hydration shampoo, I quite liked it! Okay, so you wont get 100% hydration leaving your hair looking full, thick and luxuriously shiny like in the ads, but it smells great and leaves your hair feeling cared for. This comes in blue bottle, curved in shape to ... more

Even though I have quite greasy hair at the roots, at the ends it is quite dry because I often colour my hair, use straighteners on it nearly everyday and also quite a few products too. Its a bit of a weird hair combination to be honest so I am always trying different shampoos, generally depending on what is on offer and what sounds like it might be good for my hair. Herbal Essences is a range I have used for a number of years now and I always like the results I get with their shampoos and conditioners so I was excited to try this Herbal Essences hello hydration shampoo. I also bought a bottle ... more

Advantages Advantages Forms a rich lather, colourful packaging, positive results on dry/damaged hair.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None!

The Herbal essences range is made by Clairol, a Proctor & Gamble UK brand. This particular shampoo is called 'Hello Hydration' and is a 'moisture & shine' shampoo. I have been aware of the herbal essences brand for a number of years now, and have used this range for most of this time. I am so glad that the packaging has been redesigned, and the much brighter appearance of the product is a vast improvement. In my household we have a number of Herbal essences products on the go at any one time, and each one serves a different type of hair. This particular shampoo is for 'dry/damaged hair', as it ... more

I ended up trying this when at my friend's house. I ended up washing my Hair while over there to save time when I got home, She was on the phone at the time anyway sorting some Insurance out so I took advantage of the bit time to do this. Me and her don't have the same Hair type, but since my Hair is quite dry about halfway down and certainly dry at the ends then I thought that this would be ok. I didn't find it was as good as what I would normally use, but this will obviously be because it isn't entirely suited to my Hair. Since I am currently using a bottle of my suitable one from the range ... more

My hair is blond long dry and fine, I find it hard to find a conditioner that gives my hair a shine, (blond hair never shines, not like darker hair where you get the glossy mirror effect.) I want shiny and nourished hair but without looking lank heavy or greasy. I came across herbal essences hello hydration shampoo and conditioner in my local pound shop, priced of course at a pound for a 180ml bottle, so at that price I thought I would give it a go! The conditioner claims...say hello to deep drenching hydration, and says it will quench your hairs much needed moisture, sounds good so far. The ... more

As a range, I have used a lot of the Clairol Herbal Essence shampoos and conditioners. One of the ones I use a lot is the one called Hello Hydration and I pay around £3.69 for this 400ml-sized bottle. If you love the smell of coconuts then you’re sure to love this shampoo as it’s full to the brim with the smell of coconuts, just as soon you take off the flip back lid. The bottle is a weird and wonderful shape and it looks like a curvy S shape – this is the same with all of the new Clairol Herbal Essence shampoos now as they changed the packaging. It’s a tall bottle, but I can just about manage ... more

I am not always very brand loyal with shampoos and conditioners and often chop and change. I swim a lot so need a shampoo that can deal with the stresses and strains of chlorine and its damaging effects. I was given a bottle of Herbal Essences Hello Hydration shampoo and conditioner and thought I would give it a go and where better than at the pool! The Hello Hydration formula is aimed at dry and damaged hair and looks to put the moisture and shine back into your hair! Now that kind of claim I hope is true as the cholrine really does do a number on my hair and no one wants dry lifeless looking ... more

Advantages Advantages Smells great, cheap, leaves hair feeling amazing

Disadvantages Disadvantages may not work the same with all hair types

Herbal Essences: Hello Hydration says it hydrates dry hair -- and means it. I bought mine at a local Winn-Dixie because it was cheap and i was running low on both cash and hair products. But when I used it, I didn't expect to get such great results! My hair feels amazingly soft and bouncy for such a low price of 2.99 a bottle. And the fruit-like scent was great! And it was not only me, but all the girls in my house experienced the same results with this shampoo. I'm not sure how well it would work with a different conditioner, because as with all shampoos, it works best with its conditioner ... more

Advantages Advantages Hydrates hair and smells good

Disadvantages Disadvantages Maybe a bit expensive for standard shampoo

I have thick curly hair, so I need to have a shampoo that cleans but also hydrates my hair. Especially after the cold weather my hair has been drier than usual. Herbal Essences shampoo is priced around £3.50 for 400ml and £2.00 for 200ml. Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo Packaging: Very nice shape of bottle Clear bottle so can see how much shampoo is left Writing easy to read Bottle design is different from conditioner so don't get the two mixed up Easy to open the bottle and to get the shampoo out Shampoo: Looks very nice, blue colour with sparkle shimmer effect Feels silky Smells ... more
