I’m high on herbs. NO, NO, NO. You got it wrong. When I say high,I mean, high because my hair is on the top part of my body. (I shave everywhere else) The herb part comes from Clairol herbal Essences conditioner. I am quite sure a few of you know I am a Pantene freak. Organics was a total waste of time and money for me. Tried it (rubbish) So it was back to pantene. BUT a few weeks ago I went on one of those freebie sites, were you get free samples, and lo and behold, what came through my letter box last saturday. A free minature bottle of herbal essence conditioner. After Jamie (my ... more

Advantages Advantages Doesn't result in build-up, smells nice and is environmentally friendly

Disadvantages Disadvantages None that I can think of

= = = FIRST THINGS FIRST = = = Lets start right at the beginning.... Firstly I'd just like to say that this op is about the Fruit Fusions version of the Herbal Essences range in particular but, or, to be more precise, its the Fruit Fusions Purifying brand. However, Ciao don't have a category for this at the moment and as this op also contains info about other shampoo's in the Herbal Essences range I opted to put it in this rather general category. And also, as this is my first op with the new Ciao design in place I have no idea whether this will be formatted correctly (e.g. with capital ... more

Advantages Advantages Smells lovely, does what it says

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't think of any

I've been using Herbal Essences for a while, and I will be continuing to use this brand of shampoo and conditioner, mainly because it does what it's says it will, and the smells are divine. Currently, Herbal Essences are promoting their new, refurbished design, and I have to say I was delighted when I found out you could get a free, re-designed bottle of Herbal Essences along side the original! My opinion of the new design is that it looks sophisticated, professional, and is perfect for first time users - but if you're like me and have been using Herbal Essences with the familiarly known ... more

Advantages Advantages Can be bought in sainsburys under offer

    Disadvantages Disadvantages useless!

I can safely say I rarely get the urge- to herbal that is. For months now we've had a non-stop supply of damned 'herbal Essences'. Now, I can put this down to that fact that either my mum was inspired by the terrible adverts, or that Sainsburys had yet another offer on the shampoo- probably 2 for 1. The latter is more apt. The situation wouldn't be so bad if I thought Clairol's 'Herbal Essences' actually played a part in making my life, or at least my hair, better. It may be organic, but if not for the label on the back (and advert from hell) it's not as if you would be able to tell. Take a ... more

Advantages Advantages Delicious smell and does what it says

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Before I go on I should admit that I am a self-confessed product junkie! Am only thankful that at supermarket check-outs they only have sweets for you to add to your trolly and not make-up and lotions & potions!! I'm a firm believer of trying different products, otherwise how else would you find something as fabulous as these revived shampoos and conditioners? With the recent snowy weather, cold blustery wind and hair that's over exposed to an appaulling office heating system my hair needed a little pick-me-up. Am a sucker for pretty colours and big marketing campaigns so it was no surprise ... more

Advantages Advantages Makes your hair smell delicious!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Well where shall I begin... the first question on your mind I bet is 'does it do what the advert portrays' and I'm afraid the answer is no, it does not make you go all giddy under the shower and make you feel frisky! However, on the other hand Clairol Fruit Fusions does make your hair smell delicious, feel soft and is very manageable. A very nice shampoo to use. I bought the Fruit Fusions Hydating Shampoo from Asda (approximately £1.80 for 250ml), as I have long straight hair which I colour now and then (only when the odd grey bit pops out) and I as wear it down quite often I need to wash it ... more

Advantages Advantages It leaves your hair soft and smelling nice

Disadvantages Disadvantages It doesn't work on all hair types

I started using herbal essence a month ago and my hair has improved no end. As before I used it my hair was very thin, flat and dry but now my hair has thickened out and has become very soft. Now when I go to the hair dressers they very rairly say that my hair is dry where as before they always said that. To top it up as well it has a lovely smell to it which leaves your hair smelling fresh for the whole day. I am going to continue using herbal essence as I think that it is the one good thing for my hair. ... more

Its shampoo, it smells nice, it doesnt cause dandruff so that makes it good! Im not responsible for the shopping of shampoo but whoever is, is always buying herbal essense shampoo and its great. lol funniest thing is when they have the little message at the back of the bottle for each different flavour, talking about how they came about and how they're aphrodisiacs! Theyres tones of farieties of flavours the newest addition is 'citrus lift'. Herbal essence has grown massively in popularity, and looks great since they introduced the see through bottle for shampoo. It was voted cosmopolitan's #1 ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap enough, lovely scent, over all good product

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none really

Ahhhh!! Just amazing! Both the shampoo and conditioners in this range are great. They leave your hair smelling beautiful and feeling lovely and soft. In Asda at the moment the herbal essences range is available on offer (2 400ml bottles for £3). This along with the freshness of the shampoo and the effectivness of the conditioner make this range a great choice for anyone. The herbal essences range is available in sereval types for different hair types. These are apparently just as good as the origanal product (for normal hair). This product has the most addictive smell and goes along way even ... more
