Clairol also suggest you do a strand test, I've never actual done one of those before. given that I have fairly dark hair I'm limited to the choices of colours I can use and get a result from. If you have say blonde hair and are looking for something rather dramatic then again I really would advise you did one just in case the results are a little bit too dramatic! Clairol Lasting Colour is a non-permanant hair colour that is designed to cover grey hair and is available in a range of different colours. It has recently been repackaged and updated and seems to have been combined with the 'nice and easy' range as this name now appears on the packaging. This was another experience in my monthly search for the hair dye equivalent of Mr Right. I tried this out because I think the marketing campaign is so cheesy, their product cannot be worse. I decided I wanted to go blond (they do seem to have more fun after all), but after all the applying, waiting, rinsing and conditioning, the colour I was left with was, you guessed it, exactly the same as before! I'm not sure if this was because it wasn't permanent,the level 2 is only supposed to last for twenty four washes, or because my hair wasn't the right shade to start with.
