Advantages: It doesn't drip Disadvantages: It doesn't last long!
...colour from the box!) by Clairol is another of mirade of semi permanent hair dyes on the market, claiming to last for 24 washes, completely covering grey and giving a rich natural looking colour according to the blurb on the box. The box gives you the usual picture of the young model supposedly supporting the colour you hope you're hair will be. My bug bear here is if she's that young is she really going to have grey hair? Give me a nice pic of a ... ...tend to follow this advise. Clairol also suggest you do a strand test, I've never actual done one of those before. given that I have fairly dark hair I'm limited to the choices of colours I can use and get a result from. If you have say blonde hair and are looking for something rather dramatic then again I really would advise you did one just in case the results are a little bit too dramatic! Prior to the application of the dye can I suggest you ...

Advantages: Covers grey well, leaves hair glossy and soft Disadvantages: Get colour all round the shower tiles when rinsing off hair!
Clairol Lasting Colour is a non-permanant hair colour that is designed to cover grey hair and is available in a range of different colours. It has recently been repackaged and updated and seems to have been combined with the 'nice and easy' range as this name now appears on the packaging. It does say that the product is 'by Lasting Colour' and the shade guide numbers (eg. 76 =Light Golden Brown)are the same as before, but, it does now appear to be ... ...it, but it is quite a small branch and it may be available in larger stores. I have managed to buy it in Tesco and they have a good selection of colours. It costs £3.78. Often you can find the product on a 2 for £6 offer or something similar.
The packaging consists of an outer box which shows a photo of a woman with the hair colour that the contents of the chosen box is supposed to produce. This is quite useful as a quick guide when making your ...

Advantages: SHINY HAIR Disadvantages: COLOUR TOO FLAT, TOO DARK, TOO PERMANENT
...A £4.99 bottle of Clairol Lasting Colour should do the trick I thought, and medium golden brown sounded relatively safe and rather refined. Armed with the product I secluded myself in my bathroom, candles lit, aromatherapy oils at the ready with talc, perfume and bubbles galore I relaxed in the bath with the Lasting Care evenly (so I thought) plastered over my luxuriant (well o.k. brittle and damaged) tresses. After the relevant time I washed the ... ...In a nutshell. Clairol Lasting Care is one of the new so called demi haircolours, ie., it is not permanent, but neither does it wash out very easily. The product contains no amonia and I have to say my hair has been shiney since using it, but I would have preferred a medium brown shine to the one I'm stuck with.
The colourant is relatively easy to use you merely mix the actual colour to another (presumably chemical) agent in a separate bottle. This ...

Advantages: ? ummm gets rid of the grey Disadvantages: little change
...grey streaks. I purchased a clairol last week I purchased a Clairol lasting colour light Ash brown.
cost about £5
I mixed the crème colorant with the developer lotion
It was east to apply. I just piled my long locks up high and treated the (shhhh) grey first then the rest.
I massaged it in well with my plastic gloved hands trying to be careful not to get the colour anywhere else.
I came down stairs had a cup of tea and 15-20 mins later rinsed ... ...it with the conditioner provided. I then dried my hair with a hair drier and my hair felt quite good soft and silky,
How did it look? Well my greys are now a light brown the rest of my hair little different to how I started not any lighter,
I am a little disappointed. Still my greys are gone ummm well they are not a dissimilar colour to the rest of my hair a little lighter maybe. They do blend in reasonably well.
The door opened

Advantages: Very shiny, easy to apply Disadvantages: Too dark, stains
...pleased with the results. However, Clairol was on offer in Boots so I fell for it and chose one called Warm Dark Brown. The woman on the front looked very pleased with herself and her hair was my natural colour, which I am trying to get back to after years of experimenting with reds. This was a rich, warm brown with a definite chestnut shine to it. The application was easy and didn't take too long, mixing two ingredients together and applying to ... ...development period though, which means I have ruined one towel - disadvantage #1, it stains and stays. It is also difficult to make sure it's evenly applied and I ended up not putting enough on the ends of my hair (which is pretty long). When I washed it off, after the directed 15 minutes, massaging in warm water before rinsing, it didn't take too long to come out - which is good. However, the resulting colour was much darker than I hoped and it ...

This was another experience in my monthly search for the hair dye equivalent of Mr Right. I tried this out because I think the marketing campaign is so cheesy, their product cannot be worse. This wasn’t too hard to apply even in the tiny shared bathroom of typical student digs. I enlisted the help of my flatmate and also partner in crime, Jenny. It wasn’t too pungent and when I washed it off, although I wasn’t ready to have an orgasm ... ...with the end result. The red I had chosen had deep coppery overtones which gave it a more credible look than some of the Manga-type hairdos you see walking round Covent Garden. The only problem was that the dye stained my skin. Even after 5 days, there was no mistaking the patches behind my earlobes. (I have shortish hair) In actual fact, I really fell in love with the colour of my hair but I wouldn’t dare try this again because I was fairly ...

I decided I wanted to go blond (they do seem to have more fun after all), but after all the applying, waiting, rinsing and conditioning, the colour I was left with was, you guessed it, exactly the same as before!
I'm not sure if this was because it wasn't permanent, the level 2 is only supposed to last for twenty four washes, or because my hair wasn't the right shade to start with.
I thought maybe in daylight it might change slightly, but it didn't, ...
