...by saying that I love Clarins and their products. That's not to say that I like or buy everything they sell but the products I do buy, I have found to be perfect for me, my beliefs and my lifestyle.

Clarins gets massive kudos from me for two simple facts; they do not engage in animal testing nor do they use animal ingredients. The average person has absolutely no clue what ingredients are in their food never mind their toiletries ... ...of animals in experiments, the Clarins range is for you.

This particular product, Eye Contour Balm, is aimed at improving the skin quality and hydration around the eye area by softening the appearance of fine lines.

Advantages: none really Disadvantages: ineffective and unpleasant
Having been a fan of the matching eye gel for years, I decided to buy the matching balm when those little wrinkles started showing. Unfortunately the balm was nowhere near as good. The idea is that you use the balm at night to moisturise and the gel during the day. But the balm was not at all nice to use. It was a bit sticky and gloopy - far too rich for the deliacte eye area, in my opinion. Despite my reservations, I did try it and was rewarded ...

Advantages: Light texture Disadvantages: No real difference to eye area
...use and comes in nice Clarins packaging. The eye area feels comfortable after use, but slightly sticky. I did not notice any real difference to my eye area, even after using the balm every day for a month. I would have expected more from Clarins, as it is expensive. Recently, I have only been applying it when I remember, as I just see it as another time consuming thing to have to apply over my moisturiser. It also makes your eyeliner difficult to ...
