Advantages: Lives up to all its claims and keeps my oily T-zone in check Disadvantages: There is no fun element to the product (?)
...Perhaps this is why Clarins was my mum’s favourite brand for a number of years? It certainly sounds impressive, so when my mum bought me several products from the Clarins range a couple of years ago I was suitably chuffed.
One of the products she bought me was this ‘Gentle Foaming Cleanser.’ There are two versions available: ‘All Skin Types’ and ‘Dry or Sensitive Skin.’ Mum chose me the latter because my skin can be slightly sensitive on occasions.
... ...tradition Clarins style – plain but classy, and definitely not ‘cheap’ looking. It is a fairly large soft malleable plastic tube about seven inches tall with a screw top lid, which can be used to stand the tube up. Being a French company the main writing is in burgundy and written in French; below that, an English translation. The gold Clarins logo is stretched across the top and embossed on the lid. If you turn the tube over you are greeted by insutrctions ...

Advantages: quick and easy to use Disadvantages: expensive
...One of which is my Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser.
There are two types one for normal skin and the other for dry and sensitive skin. The price remains the same at £13.50 in department stores. Don't be fooled thinking it is cheaper than the other Cleansers though as you only get 125ml. As usual I will investigate some cheaper sites and list them at the bottom.
Clarins products are all made using plant extracts. This particular cleanser contains ... ...my hair is great.
Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser comes in one size, 125ml. It doesn't sound like much but you only need a small pea size. Once it's foamed, by mixing with a little water, that's plenty to cover your face and neck. Gentle circulate the cleanser on your face and then wash off with water. Follow by using a toner and moisturiser.
The packaging does advise to use the cleanser twice a day, morning and night, but I'm lazy so I only use ...

...a gift set with a clarins soap and a face cream all with the same packaging. I had never used clarins facial stuff before, I only use their lipliners which are fabulous.
Clarins claim on their magazine adverts that this is like a soap and water experience. And it is. Its very lightly perfumed and gives you the sensation of applying s soapy lather. Now I have very sensitive skin and I usually have to pay a lot for my facial creams. For cleansers ... ...dry out my skin. With Clarins it was the forst time that Ive found a cleanser which doesnt give me any spots and doesnt majorly dry out my skin. It slightly dries my skin but I have very dry skin anyway. I think if you have normal or oily skin this would be ideal. In terms of price it is overpriced for what it is, a cleanser. I dont mind paying for skin creams because they do something essential, get rid of fine lines. I use roc by the way which ...

Advantages: delicate smell Disadvantages: eye irritation, not great compatibility wit all skin types as it suggests
In a nutshell I would consider this as a rather mediocre product. This foaming cleanser does indeed fulfill its promise to effectively provide a soap and water experience. However frequent use can lead to the mild drying out of the skin, which in the absence of appropriate moisturisation can lead to the production of excessive sebum. My skin type is normal with occasional breakouts attributable to lack of sleep and air pollutants; and overall I did ...
