    Advantages Advantages Easily removes light eye make up by wiping not rubbing, nice scent

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Does not remove all waterproof mascaras, does not remove lash glue, expensive

    As I’ve mentioned I previous reviews. I have tightened my budget on beauty products quite significantly since becoming a mum. However my own mum is still very generous and for Christmas and Birthday’s she likes to treat me with premium skin and beauty products. When I lived at home one of her biggest moans was how many towels I ruined with eye make-up because I hadn’t removed it properly.     I had been struggling for some time to find an eye make-up remover that would remove my waterproof mascara easily without irritating my eyes. Having tried a few different products which were cheap but which weren't very successful I decided to go to my local department store and visit the Clarins counter.     I bought this product a little while ago. I wanted something quick and easy that would effectively remove my eye make up but that was also quite gentle, since some eye make removers make your eyes sting! I have used Clarins products in the past and have found them to be effective, so I thought that I would give this 'Instant Eye Make-Up Remover' a try. The bottle is a simple and attractive design. It is an oval shaped, plastic bottle with a screw top lid. The lid is white with a silver coloured rim, which adds a nice bit of bling!     Advantages Advantages Removes eye make up well. Hydrates. Fine for sensitive skin.

    I wouldn't say that I use heavy eye make up, but I do wear eye shadow, mascara and eye-liner virtually every day and, as such, I do use eye make-up remover in order to remove the make-up at the end of the say - although I do use generally cheap brands for this purpose. A 125 ml bottle of Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover costs £16.00 from Boots which is significantly more expensive than many of the eye make-up removers on the market - some of which start at around £1.50.     Advantages Advantages Removes all traces of make up, no need to rub, just gently wipe

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive, leaves eye area a little blotchy

    When it comes to eyes, I must admit that mine are quite sensitive; I do have to be careful when it comes to buying eye make-up as well as eye make-up remover. I have been using the Boots No. 7 brand of eye make-up remover for some time now and have always found that it removes all traces of eye make-up without leaving my eyes sore in any way. However, when I was in my local Debenhams store a couple of weeks ago I was talking to the Consultant on the Clarins counter and the subject of eye make-up remover came up.     This was a product that my mum got free from where she works [boots]. I have to say that I am very glad that I didn't pay for this because the price is far too high for the product. Having a reputable brand name isn't an excuse for charging an extortionate price for an average product! omg i sound like my nan... The company claims that it is non-greasy, but I strongly disagree with that. I have to use a very good cleanser and toner to make sure that none of the oily residue is left on my skin to clog my pores.     A great consitency, no sting product for eyes, it does the job but leaves a very greasy residue around the eyes which might hinder make up application
