Clarins One Step Cleanser.. no thank you!

Advantages: Quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: Makes your skin feel really oily..

I bought this Clarins 'One Step Facial Cleaner' when I was in Duty Free, I needed a new cleanser so I thought I would give this one a go since I have never tried it before. This particular cleaner is meant to cleanse and tone in one easy step, which I thought was good since it would cut some time out of cleansing and toning separately. The cleanser comes with orange extract and is meant to 'renew radiance'. The bottle is quite a simple design. It ...
...'Clarins' logo at the stop of the bottle. It then has the name of the cleanser in French and then underneath that 'One Step Facial Cleanser With Orange Extracts'. The bottle has a white plastic lid which twists off and the cleanser comes of a spout at the top of the bottle. Since the cleanser comes out of a tiny hole at the top of the bottle then it is easy to control how much comes out of it so you don't use too much. The cleanser is 'dual action', ...

Sorry Clarins, you've failed me again

Advantages: Doesn't irritate skin
Disadvantages: Doesn't clean skin

With over 40 years in the beauty industry, this company's name is recognised by women everywhere and has become a trusted firm favourite with celebrities and ordinary women alike. Clarins skincare is famed worldwide and is a popular choice in the beauty therapy world, with their products being used ...
...a cheap beauty house, with Clarins One Step Facial Cleanser costing a cool £15.00 for a 200ml bottle. I don't mind paying a lot of money for skincare products, as long as they are worth it. We only have one skin and I firmly believe you should take good care of it, especially your face as it's always braving the elements. Every day I like to cleanse, tone and moisturise my face thoroughly. Except when I'm coming home after a night out on the tiles, ...

Never used a cleanser or toner before

Advantages: One step and easy to use
Disadvantages: Can't use it around your eye area

...begin? I headed for the Clarins counter, the lady there was extremely helpful in suggesting the correct product for my skin type. My skin is combination, but does tend to have the odd occasional break out of spots/pimples. She directed me to their new product the One Step Cleanser. Its a cleanser and toner in one. As this was new to me I asked her what I thought was a really dumb question - What does a toner do? She answered with it removes any cleanser ...
...noted that it was slightly orange in colour, this is due to the orange blossom used, the bottle appears as two different substances - separated ( a bit like some bubble bath you can get with two different colours in one bottle) The product cost £13.50 although you could probably get it cheaper else where e.g. airport. I took this product home and used it twice daily. You need to shake the bottle and then apply using cotton wool avoiding the eye ...

perfect buy!

Advantages: it has everything in one
Disadvantages: there are none!

i came across this product by accident, one of my friends had 2 samples given to her in one of the big department stores. Now i couldnt possibly be without it! I find it so good that i dont have to wear any kind of after treatment on my face for example moisturizer, after i have used this im good to go! It has a really calming fragrance to it and i would highly rate this products. My skin also glows with a fresh look after tis even on one of my bad ...

An expensive price, but not an expensive product

Advantages: IAn all-in-one product, not messy
Disadvantages: unsure of how much to use, feels like jelly,

I don't usually go in for expensive products - I just can't afford them and have managed to get by for years on baby lotion or baby wipes for cleansing my skin. My theory was that if it's good enough for baby's bottom then it's good enough for me. However, my son and his girlfriend bought me a box of 'Clarins' skincare products for my birthday, and the one step facial cleanser was one of the products. I didn't enjoy using the product at all. It ...
...of the smoothing on of a sumptuous product that would leave my skin silky soft. I felt in fact, as though I were scrubbing a sink. I was unsure of how much to use, so I did use a fair amount. When I dried my face, I still had 'panda' eyes and my skin felt dry afterwards. It didn't feel expensive and 'special' - thumbs down for this one. ...

Love it! And so does my skin

Advantages: Lovely to use & very effective
Disadvantages: Wish it was cheaper

Thought I'd review this having read the problems the other reviewer had with it. Now, I don't wear make up as often as she does, but when I have it's come off beautifully with this. The cleanser needs shaking to mix the parts together, I quite enjoy this (a bit like orangina!), & then you douse a cotton wool pad with it. When you first put it on the "ugh! It's oily!" reaction is to be expected, and it did make me falter for a moment. & when the ...
...have repeat the process. But when I did the second pad came back clean - this stuff really does seem to get it all off first go. And the oil left on your face? WIthin a minute or two it's gone; don't panic, just let it sit for a minute & when you next touch your face it's dry & really smooth. The oil must get absorbed, but I have combination skin & have had no problems or increase in oiliness. In fact I probably have less, as this stuff is so easy ...

Quick review of Clarins One Step Facial Cleanser

I bought this after running out of Clarins 1 step essential water (mint) cleanser. As I had had a particulary good experience with this (It was the first Clarins product I had ever tried) and couldn't get the original cleansing water I opted fpor this. Within 3 days of using it the skin on my face and neck had broken out into red and pustulous spots. Needless to say I was very unhappy with this product and threw it away. I will be on the lookout for Clarins 1 step essential water mint cleanser exclusivly from now on!!!! ...

Good for people with excema or dry skin

Advantages: Good size bottle. It works
Disadvantages: Smells bad. A bit pricey

I brought this because it was on offer at boots ( buy 2 products and get 1000 points) I have black skin and excema which means its really dry and sensitive. So its really hard to find a good cleanser that takes off heavy duty make up without stripping your skin and leaving it tight dry and ashy. It has the consistency of those oil and water eye make up removers It works well for me because it leaves a film of oil like moisture on the skin after ...
...As a cleanser its not great for waterproof eye make up but then most people have separate eye make up removers - baby oil usually does the trick. If you have oily skin this is probally not for you. It doesnt smell very nice at all - a bit like liver!?! ...
