I once received a little sample of this exfoliator ( I do like to try before I buy at these kind of prices) and decided that I liked it enough to purchase. When I went to my local Clarins counter they had an offer on whereby if you purchase two products (one to be skincare) that you would receive some free travel size products. Within the choice for travel size products was this exfoliator so I decided against buying it, and instead purchased two other products and got some of this for free! The packaging It is of course what is in the packaging that is beneficial as opposed to the packaging ... more

A few weeks back, I reviewed the Clarins One Step Cleanser but with that there are a range of other products which can be used to keep your skin looking good. At the time when buying the Cleanser, I was also talked into buying the Exfoliating Cleanser as well. I wasn't just talked into it but did really need one as my skin was not looking as glowing and healthy as it used to, probably due to my busy schedule. I decided to buy it and see if it was any good, at the worst, I just wouldn't use it again, no big loss. Again, you don't always need to get a consultation by Clarins to know which of ... more

Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser is described as: “The "4 in 1" cleanser for fresh, clear, radiant-looking skin. Created for active women, the first water-rinsable make-up remover that cleanses, gently exfoliates, detoxifies and tones in one single step. Better than clean skin, new skin.” The product is suitable for all skin types. I received a tube of this cleanser for Christmas, but it is available from The Garden Pharmacy for £14.50, so I would imagine this is around the normal asking price. Inside the usual clean, simple looking Clarins box – plain white with red and gold ... more

If you can remember when Calpol Six Plus was a sickly orange flavour (I hated the stuff), then the best way I can describe this product is that it smells like that brand of Calpol tasted. That isn't to say it's an unpleasant fragrance in this instance, but it is very "orange" smelling in an air freshener kind of way - not at all the clean, sharp smell of a freshly sliced version of the fruit. I have the kind of skin that looks grubby and dull unless I exfoliate regularly (ideally once a day) so rough once-weekly scrubs aren't right for me, which is how I ended up using this. Both my local ... more

A few months ago I needed to replenish my cleanser, I am a Clarins beauty products enthusiast, therefore, 'twas no surprise to find myself at the Clarins section. I fully intended to buy the Clarins foaming cleanser; as I had had previous success with it. However, the 'Clarins Paris - One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser' 'with orange extracts' caught my eye - I decided to give it a whirl. - Clarins claims that this product is a quick and easy one step cleanser, offering a "4 in 1" skin care treatment; to achieve a healthy looking complexion. The 4 skin care treatments included are: Cleanses ... more

This was another little trial sized tube that I got for free when I bought a couple of full sized bottles of other products. I would say i'm more a fan of Clinique, but there is a couple of Clarins products that I feel are really good, and I like when I get little products to try and especially for free. The size of the tube I got was 50ml so a good enough sized tube for to have a few goes and make my mind up weather I liked this or not. I use an Exfoliating Scrub every now and again in the shower. Perhaps only once a week as I like to give my face a deep down scrub but since my face is pretty ... more

I hate to admit it but I am a false tan wearer as I can’t abide the pale look especially for special occasions. Because of my perfectionist personality I despise the orange, streaky/ patchy look so it has taken a lot of practice to minimise this look and create a natural sun kissed glow. One area that has been my biggest issue in doing this has been my face. Obviously I want to ensure the most noticeable part of my body is streak free but I must admit I tend to feel nervous applying tan to my face because of my combination skin. I find on dry patches of my face attract the tan which results in ... more

Advantages Advantages Gives a really good clean

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit expensive!

I bought this exfoliating cleanser in the tax-free in the airport since I always tend to stock up on nice beauty products there! I had tried some Clarins products before and liked them so I thought I would give this a go. The cleanser has tiny little exfoliating beads in it to really give your skin a good clean. I absolutely love it. The cleanser didn't dry out my face but instead feels really smooth and clean and my skin didn't feel oily at all. Watch out you don't get any near your eyes (I got an exfoliating bead in my eye and it took all of 10 hours to get out again!) very painful! I really ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pricey for a cleanser

I must admit at the moment I am a Clarins nut (and I do say at the moment as I do have a tendency to be a skincare slut and change brands without any warning) and love their products and this cleanser is no exception. You only need a tiny amount to clean your face (even with makeup on) so it lasts for absolutley ages - to give you an idea I bought mine in December and I still must have about a third left. The tiny beads feel gentle, unlike some exfoliators which take off the top layer of your skin! After using it my skin feels soft and cleansed and pretty fresh as well. What does Clarins say?: ... more

Advantages Advantages Lovely smell, not messy to use, leaves skin feeling great

Disadvantages Disadvantages My partner uses it!

Whether you enjoy a full beauty regime or, like me, prefer to use a product that multi-tasks, i'm sure you'll love this. The product looks attractive, it smells lovely and it cleanses, washes away make up and exfoliates without drying. I have been using this product for a few years now and my only complaint is that it runs out too quickly! I, like most young ladies, have tried on a number of occasions to follow a dedicated beauty regime but I always end up lapsing and when I found this product, I no longer felt guilty for neglecting my skin! I do love a good facial scrub and I love that I can ... more
