Shoe-Perb!

Advantages: Nice fitted shoes, will last as long as needed, good service from trained staff
Disadvantages: Limited range of designs, expensive

...shop, Clarks. I had Clarks shoes as a child, as I had very narrow feet and they were the only ones my mum could find to fit me. So I thought Clarks would be a good start for Harry. I had a look on the website before I went so I wouldn't be a complete novice when I turned up in the shop. I found out that there are a few different types of shoes for Harry's age, which was then 11 months. There are cruisers, for children like Harry who were standing ...
...When I arrived in my Clarks shop, which was actually part of a large Mothercare store, I went over to the display and my partner and I had a good look at all the shoes. I was a bit surprised at the prices, almost as much as the price of adult shoes! Pre-Walkers cost around £20, but the First Shoes are from £26 to about £32! The ones we chose were called "Shovel" and were little blue leather shoes, with a velcro strap across the top of the foot, and ...

Clarks ShoeShops are Ten Steps Ahead!!!

Advantages: On every highstreet, excellent customer service, lots of choice, trained staff, durable shoes.
Disadvantages: Can be quite pricey.

...was a little weary because CLARKS have a reputation for being overpriced but I was willing to give them a try seeing as grandma was FOOTING the bill (pardon the pun). CLARKS STORES & CUSTOMER SERVICE Unless you live in a commune in timbucktoo you probably know where to find a CLARKS store, this is the first advantage of the company. You know if you buy a pair of shoes on holiday you wil be able to exchange them when you get home. The shop wasnt ...
...but we soon realised that CLARKS offered a range of baby first shoes. These include: Shoes for Crawling Shoes for Cruising Shoes for Walking (first steps) Leigha was definately at the cruising stage holding on to everything in sight and making her way round the room. So we now we had narrowed the shoe range down and we could start trying the shoes on. The shop assistant was really helpful and gave us lots of advice on what shoes were best for ...

An enjoyable shopping trip for children

Advantages: Good quality shoes, personal service, well fitted.
Disadvantages: Perhaps a little expensive

...good quality shoes is always Clarks shoes. I have always taken my children to Clarks for their first proper shoes and I always return at the start of the school year to have their feet properly measured and to purchase good quality shoes. Normally I go to a Clarks shop, however the last time we went to a Clarks shop I was advised that because my daughter had such narrow heels I would need to take her to a specialist shoe shop to get a pair of shoes ...
...the shop they had a Clarks department, great because my children had set their hearts on the shoes with the toy in them. Last year the children's feet were too small to get the shoes with the toy and they were very disappointed. For anyone who doesn't know Clarks do a range of shoes for boys and girls that have a toy hidden in the sole, you pull back the insole to reveal a tiny toy, for boys it is a little racing car and for girls it is a little ...

CICA Sandels

Advantages: Great fit, comfortable, easy to put on
Disadvantages: Can be large Queues in some shops, quite expensive

...so off we went to Clarks to see if we could find a pair. I have used Clarks for all of my three children although the older 2 now don't really want Clarks shoes as they are not as trendy as other shoes in other shops and to be honest I probably would not be able to afford it if they all wore Clarks. Ashley thought that it was great as he got to stand on the machine to see what size his feet where, once the sales assistant knew off she went to get ...
...and they were all Clarks sandles and Ash did not think much to them, the colours were a bit drab browns, blacks and so on. By then had resigned my self to the fact that I would have to go the next larger town to get the sandel in the colour that he wanted. These sandels were £22 which I did think to be a bit expensive but knew that Ash would get the ware out of them as they were velcro and he would be able to put them on and off himself. As I was ...

Disadvantages: none that I can think of

...ago. soooooooooo I went to Clarks today hoping to get there for 9am. Got there at 8.50 am and they didn't open until 9.30 sooooooooo I banged on the door and said it was an emergency (playgroup session starting) Bless their walkabout bums, they opened up and let me in and the sales lady even went and got the shoes Ross wanted instead of the ones she thought he'd like! I'm going to email clarks head office and ask them to give that lady a bonus. ...
...start to the day! Clarks have a good range of shoes from babies crawling to adult walking, boys and girls , mens and ladies. The babies crawling shoes start off at £16 a pair and the walking shoes go up to £40 approx. The children's shoes are the most impressive with fashionable colours and styles. All feet are measured and shoes are fitted correctly. Stroud shop is a small outlet and what you see on display is what is availble in the stockroom ...

Clarks Shoes!!

Advantages: Everything Really....Even Price!
Disadvantages: Price Also Comes In With This As Well

Clarks is one of the best places around to buy shoes and has been for a long long time. The staff are very professional when it comes the shoes for toddlers and little ones learning to walk. My daughter is 2 and a half now and i'm still going to clarks to get her feet measured just beacause of the staff. Her first pair of shoes was actually bought from fenwicks as her first pair of shoes i wanted in black patent leather.....to go with all colours ...
...and £32. Only thing with clarks is...the shoes are limited...not much of a choice of shoes. When my friend took her little one to buy his first pair of shoes she also told me that she told the staff it was for first pair of shoes and when her little boy tried on the shoes and had a little dance around the staff give her a polaroid photo as a keepsake with date and staff name on it. She also has a little chart which she can write on the date of when ...

Fabulous Cheap Clothes

Advantages: Good cheap clothes
Disadvantages: None

If you are lucky and have a Primark store in your area I would strongly recommend that you pay them a visit. They dont have masses of choice but have a good range of ladies, childrens and mens clothes. They also sell some items like cushions, tea towels, sheets etc and ladies shoes, bags, tights etc. The best thing of all about Primark is their prices. I have an 21 month old and buy quite a few things for her from here, for example 2 pairs of white ...
...pack of T shirts are £3.00. My nephew recently went on his summer hols and his Mum asked me to get some clothes for him, he is 4 years old and for £34.00 he got 7 pairs of shorts, a hat & 9 T shirts they are all good quality and I think that you would have to look very hard to better their prices. For adults they have fleece tops from about £8.00, mens T shirts 2 for £5.00, mens cotton shorts (chino style) £4.00. When they have a sale the prices ...

Smart Clarks

Advantages: Good uality work and school shoes
Disadvantages: The sales are not as good as they use to be

Clarks has really re-invented themselves over the past couple of years in my eyes. The ads are more sharper, the stores are being given revamps and the styles are becoming more up to date. I have great pride to wear my trust Clark black shoes to school, they are very durable and comfy at the same time. I also like there line of fashionable trainers aswell. I have a pair of brown suede ones I got in the sales, only £14.99 and great for shopping in. ...

Disadvantages: Long waits, limited stock availability

...four year old son to Clarks to have his feet measured and on choosing a style we both liked was told by the assistant that it was not available in his size, the reason being that his feet were a standard size and therefore demand for shoes was higher. This happens to me every time I visit Clarks and has also happened frequently to my sister when purchasing shoes for her children. Due to the limited availability of decent fitted childrens shoes I ...
