WHAT IS IT?
Johnson and Johnson's Clean & Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash is quite a self explanatory name! But there is more...the bottle says that it is oil free, with 'gentle micro-beads to unblock pores and smooth skin'. I have no idea what exactly micro-beads are, but it says on the back that they prevent spots and blackheads so I guess they're a good thing. An exfoliator is designed ... ...skin demands too much! For such a cheap price, this seems like a very good face wash. Apart from the smell of it, it's great! It has made my skin feel fresh and clean and for a first use, I couldn't have asked for more from it. ...

...problem. He came back with Clean and Clear exfoliating daily wash by Johnson and Johnson. I have been using it morning and night now for a week.
The product is described on the tube as having gentle 'micro-granules' and it is supposed to unclog pores, smooth skin and be anti-bacterial.
The product comes in an easy to squeeze tube and is whitish in colour and has small grains in. It has a delicate smell a bit like delicately perfumed soap.
After ... ...and found it very pleasant. I rubbed a small amount all over my damp face and found that it felt refreshing as the granules rubbed my skin. It was a little difficult to rinse off but after patting my face dry with a towel my face felt softer to the touch and my skin shone. ...only thing they had was Clean & Clear exfoliating daily wash. This is a cleanser which exfoliates as well, and although I didn't particularly want to change cleansers, I decided that this would do until I could get back into town.
~About the product~
The Clean & Clear range is made by Johnson & Johsnon. This wash contains micro-beads which not only remove dirt and oil, but also get rid of the dead skin cells that can block pores, and cause spots ... ...one I have is slightly different to the one pictured above. It comes in a blue squeezy tube which stands on a purple coloured lid. The packaging is quite plain and simple - there's nothing glamorous about it, and it's not one of those things that you can display on the bathroom shelf, but it's what's inside that counts.
~Using it~
The wash is a white in colour and contains lots of small white grains. I was not impressed with the smell of this stuff ...

I had a facial a few weeks ago and the beautician used an exfoliating facial scrub on my face, I'd never used one before and I found it made a huge difference to the softness of my skin. She claimed it gets rid of the dead skin and unclogs pores to stop spots. Anyway, as I'd already shelled out a fortune for the moisturiser she used at the salon I had to stop myself from buying the facial scrub too. So I popped down to ASDA and found this "Clean ... ...My 150ml tube only cost me just over £2...a bargain! However, it was on special offer. 25% off I think, so you may have to pay a little more. I'd still consider it to be fairly cheap though. I've used the product every day now and as you only have to use a small 20p(ish) size amount then the bottle still feels as full as it was when I bought it!

...is keep my skin as clean as possible and hope for the best! That is until recently. A good friend of mine posted an opinion on here about one of the products from the Johnson & Johnson Clean & Clear range and I must admit I was quite impressed with what I read. Funny thing is though I'd never actually seen this range of products in my local shops even though they are made by the same company whose products I have been using for years!

I've been using Clean and Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash for about 4 or 5 years now. Having suffered from mild acne for a couple of years, I was desperate to try any products that would help my skin problem instead of slapping makeup on to cover that Mount Everest that incidentally became a little beige molehill of concealer. This product was still relatively new to the market and promised to unblock pores as well as help combat spots with its anti-bacterial ... ...amount is normally enough to clean your skin, and the 150ml bottle generally lasts me around 3 months. However, as with all products, be extra careful about getting it in your eyes as it really stings!! The product smells quite refreshing, perhaps a little 'medicated', so I think is suitable for use by men and women alike (I know many men who don't like using 'female' products because they smell too feminine). I like Clean and Clear products. I started using the cream wash many years ago but then switched to exfoliating products. I am a great fan of Neutrogena skin care, but when my local chemists ran out of my usual facial wash I returned to Clean and Clear.
I like the fact that this exfoliating wash is oil-free (something highlighted on the packaging) and the fact that it is gentle enough to use everyday. Exfoliators are great for ridding your skin ... ...The Clean and Clear daily exfoliator is great because although the white gel-cream texture lathers up nicely, it also contains little 'micro-beads' which basically polish your skin and improve its texture and radiance. The theory is that its beads will unclog any potentially blocked pores which lead to redness and spots; leaving you with radiant skin.
So, the texture is great and the lather is impressive. And, to be honest, you don't need a lot ...

...at all. I came across Clean & Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash about 2 years ago and since then its been easy going, care-free and uterly and completely spot free!!! I was amazed at how quickly results showed and people noticed straight away that my once troubled skin was now practically flawless. Since then I have used this product religiously! I can't be bothered using it every night and morning and so I stick to using it at the end of every shower!

The Clean and Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash contains "micro-granules" that give it the slightly grainy texture. It is not ,however, harsh on your skin like some of the other exfoliaters I have tried. The purpose of these granules is to remove excess oil, dirt and dead skin cells that can block pores. It is when pores are blocked that spots may appear. The rubbing of the gentle, small granules also smoothes the skin and leaves it ... ...is tested on animals.
Clean and Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash comes in a 150ml plastic tube. The packaging is light blue, and appeals to both sexes. The writing is easy to read, in a dark blue colour, of reasonable size. The problem with the packaging is that the flip cap can sometimes be difficult to open, which is not good when you are in a rush. Also, it is inevitable that some of the product is left inside, so I suggest cutting the soft packaging ...

I have been using Clean and Clear Daily Pore Cleanser Exfoliating (isn't that a great word?) Face Wash since they started making it a few years ago. This is definitely one of my can't live without it beauty staples!
~Packaging~
The face wash comes in a practical squeezy tube which sits on its flip-top cap. The tube is made of quite soft plastic, which is non-see-through with the name 'Clean and Clear Oil Free Daily Pore Cleanser, gently cleans ... ...sound inviting? On the back you will find the directions for use, and indications that you should discontinue use if excessive skin irritation should occur. You will also find a brief description of the products aims and goals in improving your complexion. Plus there is a list of really fascinating ingredients ;)

I just want to put a good word in for this product because before I had ever heard of facial scrub I used to think that the only way to get rid of dead cells was by rubbing my face very vigorously with a dry towel. The first facial scrub I used for the first couple of years was an apricot one from Wilkinson’s which was always very good, but then about a year ago I discovered this new Nuagé I bought in a shop in Nottinghamshire called Home Bargains ... ...to it, but it’s the only shop I know of right now, apart from web sites, that seems to stock this. It is a 125 ml tube which cost £1.49 and it seems to last forever because I only put a dab of it on once a week. I have to say it makes my skin feel really soft and smooth, particularly just after using it.

Clean and clear is a product of Johnson and Johnson who have been producing products since the 1880s when they were the first to introduce surgical dressings that were ready made and ready to use. They have certainly come a long way since those early days on from the early Band Aids which are still going strong today, and baby products to the latest collections of skincare from not only Clean & Clear but from Neutrogena and RoC. The Clean & Clear ... ...gentle. It helps to clean up your pores and of course this reduces the chance of getting dreaded spots. I've always been thankful in the fact that I've never really been bothered with spots but for people not so lucky there is also an anti-bacterial factor used in this face wash to help fight the problems which cause bacteria and more spots. It's very easy to use this product and you don't need to use a lot at a time so it lasts quite a long time. ...

...have had this along with Clean & Clear's adanced face cleanser (The one thats meant to reduce spot size within a day or two). I'll be reviewing both here, mainly as there isnt anywhere else for the cleanser to go and I really think people need to know about it.
First off, the exfoliator. It's not bad as exfoliators go to be honest. I bought it as it was one out of two that Boots stocked. It's a white creamy consistancy crammed with mini beads (for ... ...product (my face feeling really clean and looking matte after drying), but within a couple of hours (despite using oil control lotion) my face becomes oilier than ever.
Clean & Clear advanced cleansing lotion.
This is the most chemically based, and smelling cleanser I've ever used. I bought it as I've previously used Clean and clear's products and found they worked pretty well. That and I desperately wanted rid of a spot for a special occasion ...
