Fighting bad skin

Advantages: not too expensive
Disadvantages: hurts a lot and burns my face

I thought I would try Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore treatment Pads when i saw them in Boots for the first time. They were part of a new product range from Clearasil. Their claim ========= They claim to give you a visibly clearer face in 3 days! They help get rid of existing spots and help prevent new ones from forming! They say that they help to control oil so it reduces a shiny appearance of the skin and it supposedly deep cleans the pores. With ...
...I would recommend the "normal" Clearasil pads as they are less harsh and have a similar sort of action on the skin and with the convinience of not having to wash the cleanser off. I use tea tree becuase of its antibacterial properties and i feel this is far more effective and more natural. It can take longer to work but it doesnt leave the nasty stinging on the face that these pads do. Anyway if the acne is that bad, then most over the counter products ...

Treatment for teenage skin

Advantages: Cleanses
Disadvantages: Pricey and dehydrates out your skin

Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Pads are designed to "fight spots and reduce redness to give you visibly clearer skin in just 3 days". The product is clearly marketed at teenagers with problem skin - the adverts on TV for Clearasil products usually feature a teenager getting ready for a party, realising that they have a spot, getting despondent that the spot will ruin the party, being advised to use Clearasil and applying it. By the end of the ...
...that I've been trying is Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Pads. The pads come in packs of 65 which cost around £4.99 and are available from chemists and most supermarkets. The packs recommend using the pads twice a day - once in the morning and once in the evening. That's a cost of £60 a year if you use them every day as directed. I think that's quite a lot personally and probably more expensive than most other facial cleaners. The pads are quite ...

Spot the difference!

Advantages: Very powerful, really works, easy to use, great for blemishes on the body
Disadvantages: Potent fumes, not suitable for sensitive skin, may be too harsh for the face

...suitable for sensitive skin, but Clearasil do offer alternative pads that are more gentle to the skin. I am personally wary of using these pads on my face as I prefer something less harsh on that part of my body. However, if anyone out there suffers from what is beautifully known as 'backne', then I would strongly recommend this product. I have experienced no discomfort on my shoulders and the spots seem to have almost disappeared. I imagine that ...

Clear-up with Clearasil

Advantages: Visible results in a small amount of time
Disadvantages: Smell of product

Clearasil products are alittle on the pricey side, however, when I began using them I understood why they cost that little bit more than other brands. The chemicals in these products are superior to some other brands, and help achieve results in less time. I purchased the clearasil ultra cleansing pads, which were £3.89 on offer at asda. To begin with, I used these after cleansing, with my origional products, so after cleansing my skin, I used two ...
...cleanse. Clearasil cleansing pads have a strong penatrating action on your pores, targeting dirt, bacteria and impurities. They work by drawing out impurities, cleansing the pores, hence preventing further spots appearing. I generally just gently wipe the pad over my face, in curcular motions, the pads are designed fairly well, with a cut-out, so they are easy to pick out of the pot. Deep cleanse After cleansing, I like to get a clean pad, and ...

Spots and flaky skin...what a great product!

Advantages: Smells nice
Disadvantages: Left skin dry

After spotting these on the sheleves in boots I decided to give them a go mainly becuase it claimed that I could have clearer skin in 3 days, which to me seemed great. The tub is circular with a metallic blue lid, the tub itself is white although there is a label on this which is metallic and shines different colours in differnt lights from pink to purple to green although predominantly it is blue. I have to say this makes the product look very funky ...
...at teenagers. When you open up the lid you get a smell which is very clean and reminds me of the smell you get from baby wipes, so overall this is pleasent as I was expecting it to be quite a strong smell of antiseptic which would have put me off using the product. Inside the tub are the pads which you have 65 of this seems quite a good amount although I think it still works out pricey when your paying around £5 for them! You are supposed to use ...

Clearasil's a clear choice...

Advantages: Brilliant for quick cleansing after a night out when you need something with minimal effort
Disadvantages: The smell isn't particularly enticing, and watch not to leave the lid off - dry pads.

I tried out these Clearasil ultra pads as I'm a big fan of the Clearasil range. I think they're usually good value for money and produce good results. However I have to confess I was a tad disappointed with a couple of aspects of this product. === LOOK === First off, the look. The packaging's very shiny and futuristic, however I wouldn't say it was pretty. Perhaps Clearasil are trying to appeal to both sexes with the design (a zingy blue) but in ...
...patterns on either side (although Clearasil don't make it clear if each side provides different cleansing). Cleansing your face with it can be a bit rough if you press too hard, but get the pressure right and you get a good exfoliation. Skin tingles and definitely feels like it's getting a full MOT! If you have a full face of make-up on you may need a couple of pads to remove it all, and remember eye-make-up is a no-go here. I like to splash my ...

It works, honest!

Advantages: Does what it says on the tin!
Disadvantages: Smells, real bad!

...--What are they-- All clearasil products advertise that they reduce spots in 3 days, these pads are no different. You get 65 pads in a pot, which should last you just over a month. The pads are circular with a small piece missing so you can pick them from the pot easily. --How do they work?-- The pads have a 'spot fighting formula which penetrates deep into the pores' to basically get rid of all the muck and gunk that is blocking your pores and ...
...causes your spots. As the pads are textured they also exfoliate your skin getting rid of any dead skin you have lying around. --How you use them-- OK, now for the easy bit. In the morning and evening you take one of the pads from the tub and wipe it over your face. As both sides of the pad are textured you can use both sides if needed. Leave your face to dry, dont wipe off the lotion. Simple huh! --Problems-- --Smell--The first thing you notice ...

too harsh

Advantages: relatively inexpensive
Disadvantages: not suitable for sensitve skin

...skin i stopped using the clearasil range (and later clearasil altogether, see my review on the skin perfecting wash.) the chemicals that are used in this product are too strong for sensitive skin, and if my memory doesnt fail me cant recall it saying anywhere 'unsuitable for sensitive skin.' one good side of the ingredients is that it contains salicylic acid which is amazing for skin, or clearing up spots. this all being said, i did notice a minor ...

Review of Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Pads

No good for sensitive skins.

Advantages: It says its supposed to clear up spots in 3 days
Disadvantages: It stings like hell when applied to the skin

I had a really bad break out of spots a couple of months back and had seen these advertised on the television, great get rid of spots in three days. I think I paid about £3.99 for these in Boots, and I thought that been as they were pads they would be easy to use. Immediately when I opened the pads, there was this very powerful smell, a bit like alcohol mixed with surgical spirit, but I thought I would give them a try. When I applied these to ...
...them over the skin, but if you had an open spot it burns like hell. when I had sweeped about two pads over my face, because the pads are not very large, you would probably need to use about two to get a good coverage of the treatment, to start with the open spots burnt like hell and after I had covered my face with the treatment my skin felt like it was on fire, and felt very itchy. And steer well clear of the eye area, even if you dont get it ...

Review of Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Pads

Stings on sensitive skin, not effective on medium spots

Advantages: Not too expensive, contains lots of pads, easily available
Disadvantages: Stung badly on sensitive skin and didn't appear to help my skin

...haven't had any luck with Clearasil before, but decided to give it a go, who knows... I've come to the conclusion that Clearasil are a company aimed at helping people with very mild skin issues. If you suffer from reoccuring problems, or something more serious, I wouldn't recommend them. Anyway, the product itself. It smells very strong when you're up close to it, but in a way this is reassuring, you think it's going to zap your spots away! I was ...
...it stung, a lot!! I didn't have open sores or anything, but my skin is sensitive, and these pads are certainly not made for sensitive skin. There are a lot of pads inside, and I didn't consider it expensive overall. I used them in the evening over 4 days, and promptly gave up when I saw no noticeable improvement, nor could stand the acidic stinging! So, be careful when choosing this product... Not for sensitive skins, or medium/severe spots. Summary: ...

Review of Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Pads

Avoid using if you have sensitive skin.

Advantages: Easy to use.
Disadvantages: Feels like they burn the skin. Fairly expensive.

...are attracted to how quickly Clearasil ultra deep pore treatmeant pads claim to clear the skin in. I Clearasil ultra deep pore treatment pads claim that with using them twice a day. That it will result in "visibly clearer skin in just 3 days" I was attracted to this product because of the 3 day claim. They seem to be fairly expensive at around £4.99 per pot. Each pot contains 65 pads. They also claim to fight spots and reduce redness. As a ...
...I don't really tend to get breakouts but just the same amount of spots always on my face. The first time I used this product I was suprised at how much it stung when it was applied , I wondered if it was just because it was the first time I had used it. It made my face go all red aswell. I carried using it and the burning feeling was horrible. As well, they dried out my skin. They also have quite a strong smell which isn't the nicest of smells. ...

Review of Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Pads

Fantastic for some, worth a try.

Advantages: Finally, spot treatment you can rely on actually working.
Disadvantages: Temporary burning & reddening, dries out your skin massively, contains bleach.

...frustrated at how the standard clearasil product i was using (the pump bottle cream) was seemingly having no effect at preventing spots. The claim on the tub says "visibly clearer skin in just three days" and this is true. DO NOT read this as meaning "get rid of your spot(s) in three days" however. Having used the pads for a week now, i can safely say they're like Ronsil, they do exactly what it says on the tin. My spots are almost entirely gone, ...
...however before buying them there are afew points to consider... These pads work because they use extremely strong chemicals, heck, 10% of it is bleach! Strong chemicals have side effects though. After using the pads, expect some burning / stinging, along with reddening and extreme drying of the skin. The pain and the reddening pass within an hour or so, the drying however can cause your skin to peel slightly if used for the full dosage over an extended ...

Review of Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Pads

Spotting the problem

Advantages: Does work
Disadvantages: hurts, smells, better alternatives

This stuff does work, really, but the issues do not lie with the fact that it works or not, the ads claim that you can notice the difference within three days, this was not true of me, however, within a week most of my spots were gone and the nasties were shrinking away; but this stuff smells really bad (and tastes, should you lick your lips). It really hurts your face on the first use and takes a while to get used to. It will always hurt if you ...

Absolutely Amazing

Advantages: Cheap, Works, and Only Thing That Has Ever Worked For Me.
Disadvantages: It stings but works!

...the 3 step program for Clearasil Ultra, and it's amazing. It does leave your skin dry, but it also leaves it smooth and COMPLETELY acne free. I used to have a lot of under the skin acne and blackheads and just random little zits, and they are all gone! I would highly recommend this product to everybody!!! Plus, it is cheap compared to other products (like proactiv [which did not work too well for me!]) Good luck everyone! ...

Review of Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Pads

Reasonal price for the amount of pads that are in the package

Advantages: improves texture and appearance of pimple
Disadvantages: smell

I bought this ages ago and wasnt careful when I wiped it on my face since I'm a sensitive base skin and I had a huge rash so i had to get a prescripted cream to make the rash go away. But now since i'm getting pimples again I thought hey I might use it again but only more gently. When I gently wiped it on my face it gave me the tingly feeling like a squeaky clean feeling =] and I applied moisturiser, you can really see the difference in the pimples ...
