Advantages: Clear blue was clear to read Disadvantages: it is more expensive
...just sent me the normal Clearblue with the + or - sign. I kept it anyway, and after unpacking the shopping a went to the loo to try again. When I came back up, myself and my hubby waited for the result, I could see nothing, but my hubby was sure he could see a faint line. This was in the evening and the artificial light wasn't helping things. I refused to get excited. My period was due the next day (Christmas Eve) and we would know then. When Christmas ...

...or not! I chose Clearblue for the simple reason that it's a well known and respected brand and claims that it's over 99% accurate on the box. This sounds perfect. :o)
Now, pregnancy tests work by detecting tiny amounts of hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotrophin) in a sample of your urine. This is the human pregnancy hormone and Clearblue can trace this in your urine from the day your period is due, this is good news for me as my period should have ...

Advantages: Unmistakeable results in less than 3 minutes. Disadvantages: Cost
...a new product in the Clearblue range. It is a new digital test that claims to give “Unmistakable Results”.
The box contains 3 tests and costs just £14.99 so it works out cheaper per test than the single test stick that retails at £8.99 or the double test kit at £11.99. I still think this is expensive and you could get tested by your doctor for free but when you suspect you may be pregnant you do not want to be waiting for an appointment or waiting ...

...the pregnancy hormone". With the Clearblue and many other tests this can be detected from as early as the day your period is due. You also can test at any time of the day, you don't need to do it early morning. You would not believe the amount of women who have told me they first found out they were pregnant in the loo at our local Tescos! See they buy the tests (and get clubcard points) then they can't wait till they get home so they nip in the loo ...

...out buying just the standard Clearblue Pregnancy Test. I brought this one initially as it was cheaper than some of the others (£10 for 2 test sticks). Anyway I was 7 days late but suspected before this that I may be pregnant but wasn't too sure how long you are supposed to wait before you can do the test. When I read the box I found out I could of actually done the test on the first day my period was due, so I didn't actually need to wait this long ...

Advantages: Give you a result in 1 minute! Disadvantages: A bit pricey!
I’ve never had to do a pregnancy test before so I was a bit confused when I went to my local Boots and discovered the range of test available. As I did not want to wait another day to do the test I chose that one as you can do it straight away! I have to admit that the name sounded familiar so I felt more confident on its accuracy (the magic of advertising hey!!). It also says on the box that it’s 99% accurate and that this is the test that doctors ...

...as other products, the standard clearblue was sold for around £10 for 2 tests.
What is on the box.
The packaging is quite eye catching in white and dark blue and is quite unmistakeable amoungst other products. There is a clear window in the packaging which shows you the digital reader and two clear pictures of what the results will look like. Definatly no reading between the lines here.
Whats in the box.

...many good things about the Clearblue test so we bought a double pack. Once we arrived home I went to the bathroom to use one straight away. I had mixed feelings of excitement and apprehension as I began to read the instructions. The instructions were clear and concise, instructing me to hold the testing wand in mid urine flow for a few seconds. The instructions also stated that accuracy was almost 100% and I would know if I was pregnant 60 seconds ...

This opinion may appeal mainly to women, but you male reader out there, please do not turn away, as you may be affected by this subject of pregnancy, one day!
I felt the need to take a pregnancy test a while ago, so whilst shopping in Tesco I set about looking for a home pregnancy test kit. There were none on the shelves, so at the till I sent my partner off to the local chemist to get one, whilst I paid for the shopping. He was a little nervous ...

Well as some might know and other wont I will quickly give you a little history about me, I have had 8 failed pregnancies and I have one living child so to have a baby is important to me (even though I have a beautiful, amazing little girl already) my pregnancies failed due me having polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Recently I had been given a fertility drug (clomifene) to help my ovulate. (Taking 1 tablet for the first 6 six days of my period)

My hubby is a technology person, so finding a digital pregnancy test seemed perfect to appeal to him. It also felt more professional to me. We bought this test for the added accuracy. It also had the added bonus of being a renowned brand.
The test can be bought in single, twin or triple packs. They work out much cheaper the more you buy. A second test is always necessary in case something goes wrong or you cannot believe your results.

I had a feeling I was pregnant after trying for 6 months, so I brought myself a Boots home pregnancy kit, I was a bit dissapointed with it as I actually couldn't tell if a line appeared or not, so I purchused the Clear Blue pregnancy test, It immediatly came up with a blue line much to my delight.
Most pregnancy test work by either holding the tip of the test in the flow urine, or by dipping it in a sample you've taken for around 20 seconds, which ...

I had put the first pregnancy test I did in the bin as I was sure it was negative. Something made me get uo in the middle of the night to check and I wasn't so sure.
I done a further 6 tests-own brands and others but still wasn't sure. I never thought that these things were so difficult to read. Had I gone for the expensive option in the 1st instance I would had saved a fortune. There is absolutely no doubt of the result with these.
