At the tender age of 20 I'm already well on the way to getting those dreaded crow's feet near the corners of my eyes as well as cursed wrinkles underneath them... whatever happened to ageing starting at 30! On one of my more recent trips to Clinique - I'd just got an average grade in an essy at university AND Footballer's Wives had just finished screening - I decided I needed a little pick me up treat! ... ...trotted over to the trusted Clinique counter - they can never fail to put a smile on my face!
My very good friend Alex the Clinique lady - I even know her name and hugged her last time I saw her out in a club in town - greeted me in her usual way (she knows I'm going to spend a minimum of £25!)! I explained the problem and she suggested a product called "All About Eyes."

...me a huge box of Clinique skin care products, most of which were small size, but this was a full size pot. I say full sized, this tub contains 15mls which at the moment is the only size they do. This is the same size as a lip balm tub but astonishingly enough this pot costs £20! Their website converts this into how much it costs per 100mls which would be £133.33! WOW!

The pot is adorable, a clear tub with a silver lid, the cream itself ... ...any Boudouir.
Application.
Clinique recommends a three step system.
Cleansing, Clarifying and Moisturising. On top of this they sell numerous products to work along side to combat problem areas. ...eyes I decided to give Clinique All About The Eyes a go.
At £20 for 15ml I did feel it was rather expensive but I had heard great reviews about it from friends and in magazines. So I took my tiny pot home and began to use it.
So what does it promise to do?
Clinique say "Diminishes the appearance of eye puffs, darkness, and fine lines. Lightweight, cream-gel formula actually helps hold eye makeup in place"
Great, just what I was looking for, maybe ... ...Clinique say the features and benefits of all about the eyes are
"Minimises the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. Helps to minimise, soften fine lines and wrinkles. Helps to make the fragile eye area skin stronger and better protected. Soothes, comforts and smoothes the eye area. Calms and soothes. Protects against environmental damage. Extends eye makeup wear."
So i took my plain looking pot of All About The Eyes and put it to the test.

So many people have raved about Clinique products so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try one out. I spent a long time perusing the shelves and suddenly a small little pot caught my eye. It stood out as, unlike most of the clinique products, it doesn't have a green lid and looked different so I bought it.
The Pot
It comes in a 15ml pot about the size of a pot of lip balm or maybe ... ...and has a silver lid. The brand and product name are clearly displayed on the front. My initial thoughts were that the pot looked tiny and at that price I wouldn't be able to afford regular refills, it looked like it would run out after a month maximum however the directions did state apply sparingly so maybe I'd be proved wrong.....

...screw top lid. Like all Clinique packaging, it's simple but classy and looks great. It has a plastic cover underneath the lid to prevent the cream from falling into the lid if you're travelling which is one of my bug bears, so thumbs up from me there. It retails at around £20 for 15ml, which is reasonable for a premium brand eye cream, (as long as it works!) and you can buy Clinique products from Boots, Debenhems, House of Fraser and most other department ... ...and doesn't clog the pores. Clinique have realised this concern and produce two versions of All About Eyes, the regular version, and a rich version, for skin that is more wrinkle prone and needs a bit more attention. To apply, I use my finger to get a tiny amount of the cream and stroke it gently across the skin under my eye, moving from my nose outwards. If there is any residue left on my finger, I stroke it across my top lid for good measure. You ...

...eye open (no pun intended) Clinique often run offers where you can get free samples, or get freebies when you buy X amount, so it is worth looking about for their special offers. Another thing to keep in mind is Boots stock Clinique and you can load up on Advantage points when purchasing! I have been so impressed witht his product, I have since also purchased loads of their other products, which also last months and months, so it actually works out ... ...Now I have very sensitive skin as well, and am a contact lense wearer, and I can honestly say this product has not irritated my delicate eye area at all and except for the one time I actually got some in my eye as in on my eyeball (don't ask), it has never stung. So, except for having to outlay £20 for 6 months worth all in one go, this is a truly great purchase! ...

...because of this I love clinique bonus time. It was in a wonderful pink box full of freebies at bonus time that I discovered 'all about eyes'.
I didn't really read about what it was supposed to do before trying it, so the first thing I noticed was the texture of it when applied. It is a lightweight pinky white cream that I can honesly say leaves the skin feeling 'velvety' and soft, not greasy at all. I'm only 22 so wasn't sure that I was really going ... ...I ventured back to the clinique counter I was a little disappointed at the price as it was around £20 and packaged in a pot. As it is in a pot you tend to use more than you need as you have to dab your finger in. The samples had been in a tube so you could just squeeze out the tiny drop required.
Despite the price and packaging the cream does work and does last a very long time. I would say that it is the best eye cream for someone like me who isn't ...

Clinique say that this eye cream will 'Diminish the look of undereye circles, shadows, puffs and fine lines - immediately and over time.' I agree - this product is excellent.
I use it twice daily after cleansing, toning and moisturizing and before applying my make up and I always notice the difference when I haven't used it. Without it my skin feels far tighter and dryer.
After it has been applied my eyelids feel instantly soothed and nourished, ... ...days of its first use, my undereye circles ARE reduced and shadows and puffs ARE soothed and diminished. I have seen a definate improvement in my skin tone.
Immediately after application it is to greasy to apply eye make straight away. But, after it has fully absorbed, I find in the time it take to get dressed, it provides a good base for make up.
Its a fairly thick cream that has no overbearing smell with an attractive very light pink shade. The ...

It is a very silky, jelly sensationing lotion of a peach colour. It is clear and absorbed when applyed so no colour or visible signs of having it on. It is absorbed well into the skin and so you aren't left with any annoying ... ...in the morning (I apply the product before going to bed) and gives a real confidence boost for the day ahead! It also feels refreshing on the skin.
It may sound very expensive but I can immagine they must last a very long time! My 5ml sample pot has lasted for a good 3 months already and I do put a fair amount on each night, so I suggest perhaps buying the 15ml pot and if you feel rationed then next time purchasing the 30 ml. ...

I'm 40 years old, have naturally oily skin, Wrinkles aren't a major problem, and i have fine crows feet, serious brown cirlces, and puffiness on my lower eye socket, and fair to moderate heaviness above my eyelids, I have had a chemical peel, (fantastic) but now the dark circles round my eyes are really quite prounced, as my new skin is very naturally luminescent. I decided that rather than covering my circles in make up, as i no longer need to wear ... ...eye cream.
After checking out this site, i had a list of creams i wanted to test, however not many brands had testers. Dior is good, that was the favourite, beating pots of £125. and tubes of £75, until that is i tried the clinique, a tad better than Doir in my opinion, even after 1st application i saw a noticeable improvement in the puffiness along my bottom eye socket, and outer corners were smooth, of the fine lines which accompany crows feet.

...have used a lot of Clinique products over the years but this is my favourite by far and one of the few I still use. Launched a few years ago, it reduces puffiness and minimises dark circles and fine lines. It is very lightweight, a creamy gel that is easy to apply and is absorbed instantly. It also helps to hold eye makeup in place. I find it very refreshing which is great in the morning and can notice a visible improvement in the eye area after ... ...at all clinique counters. The price is a bit steep but it is worth it and it has an excellent consistency so a little goes a long way!! The pot it comes in is attractive but I wish it came in a tube or pump as it gets annoying trying to scoop the last bits out of the pot! ...

...it delivered all the benefits Clinique claimed it would. It made no difference to my dark circles or the fine lines around my eyes. I have actually used much cheaper creams which have delivered better results in these terms.

...I'm a big fan of Clinique products in general, I only recently purchased All About Eyes encouraged by a promotion. I've been using the cream every day, morning and night, for around three weeks now and am very satisfied with it.
As tends to be the case with Clinique's skincare products, the texture of the cream is superb. It gets absorbed in seconds and you can apply eye make-up straight after use. It is pleasantly light and makes the skin feel ... ...some other products in the Clinique range are better for treating dark circles, for example), which it has certainly done well. The packaging of the product is very attractive, combining a salmon pink tub with a silver lid. The only negative thing about All About Eyes is its price - £20 for 15ml at Debenhams - but I'm expecting the product to last for a long time, as a little amount goes a long way. I love Clinique products and am regularly to be found at the Counter in Boots trying out different products. In particular I am a devoted fan of this little pot of eye cream. I use it all year round, in summer just a little under my eyes at bedtime on my crows feet and to reduce puffiness caused by hayfever. In winter i use it with Clinique DDML in the morning and with Clinique Moisture Surge Extra Thirsty Skin Relief before bed too. You only need ... ...does help bring down puffiness and smooth out those pesky little crows feet! At £20 for a 15 ml pot at first this might seem a little expensive but you can very often get a 7ml size trial pot on Ebay if you want to try it out before spending £20. ...
