Advantages: Works well on all skin types (though supposedly for dry skin), lasts ages. Disadvantages: More expensive than other brands (though it does last for ages to make up for it).
This moisturiser from Clinique is arguably one of the best products I've ever purchased. It is meant to be for very dry to dry combinations, and although I'd say that I don't really have dry skin, this moisturiser is perfect for me.
*Why I love it*
The bottle that I bought contains 125ml of moisturiser, and although I bought this some time in December 2005, my first bottle only ran out a couple of days ago. This means that it lasted for over 14 ... ...the product on and the clinique logo, as well as information about the product in 5 different languages (English, French, German, Spanish and Italian). The RRP is £26 (£20.80 per 100ml).
You can also buy this in a 50ml for £15, but since this is £30 for 100ml you would be better off buying the bigger sized bottle. You can also buy a 50ml tube version of this for the same price.
If you would prefer to buy this moisturiser in a bottle with a pump ...

...my expectations the way that Clinique does. I was given the Clinique bug in my late teens, at first I thought why spend so much money on a particular brand when there are cheaper ones out there that must be just as good. I became loyal to the Clinique brand when I got married, (best thing about getting married, discovering Clinique properly, my relationship with Clinique lasted longer too) I purchased all their products for my wedding day however ... ...back on that decision.
Clinique has been around since 1968 and is one the worlds leading manufacturers of skin care, cosmetics and fragrances. Clinique is marketed through its famous three step skin care regime of: cleanse, exfoliate and mositurise.
The Dramatically Different Moisturiser is now available in thre different forms, the original lotion, with pump, and now available as a gel. The particular version is am reviewing is the original lotion.

Clinique do not use animals to test their products but DO test their products on willing, human volunteers so that you know the product is safe to use. This particular product has been around for decades and is still selling incredibly well which shows how well loved this product is.
This particular version of Dramatically Different Moisturizing lotion is a 125ml bottle ... ...skincare system. At a Clinique counter your skin type will be assessed and you will then get a cleanser(soap or liquid cleanser), a clarifying lotion and a moisturizer tailored to your skin's needs. However, although it is recommended to use this 3-step system many people simply use the moisturizer from the range.
(and as the some beauty experts say.. . if you're not rich, you can get away with buying an expensive moisturizer and cheap everything ...

I enjoy the product; Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. I have been using this product consistently for the past year. I feel that it is a great moisturizer and works particularly well in collaboration with with other Clinique daily products. It smoothes my skin and prevents dry skin, I particularly use it on my face. The smell is average, it does not particularly smell perfumed but for a face lotion it is a desired smell. I use lots of clinique make up which impresses me, so thought I'd give the lotion a go. i was surprisingly disappointed with this product. it smells nice, and feels soft, however i found it took several applications before it was absorbed into my skin. my skin never really felt soft after using it. ...so called 3 steps from clinique and... well, the results were devastating...But let's focus on this step,wich is the 3th step. This stuff is supposed to moisturise... But,it doesn't. Well and if paying a fortune for a lotion that doesn't actually moisturise your skin is lame, paying that same fortune for a lotion that doesn't moisture but makes your skin FREAK OUT is even worst. ...I have been using the Clinique 3 Step system (of which this is the third step) for nearly 20 years and would not swap it.
I use the "classic" lotion twice a day. It is quickly and easily absorbed into my skin leaving my face either ready for makeup or for me to face the day "au naturelle".
On some winter days I feel the need for a little extra moisture my cheeks and that is when I use another Clinique product "Moisture Surge".
To give you an idea ... ...that separately. Come on Clinique - put at least SPF15 into your DDML and it would be PERFECT!
Another advantage with Clinique products is that the stores often have "Bonus Time" which means that if you buy two products you get a lovely gift full of trial size products (skincare or makeup) which gives a great opportunity to try something new before committing to the full size version. ...

The brand Clinique always captivate my attention for their great design, simple and clean, and for all the good reviews that i read in magazines and so. Im 29 years old so I feel that my skin needs good and effective moisturisers: it is getting more drier and those fine lines are starting to appear.
I wanted to try the 3 step system as a base for using another anti-aging products, bur for now i just use the 3 to see how they works.
Is this a good ... ...always think that brands like Clinique and so are much more expensive that i can allow myself to buy. So I searched in the Internet to give a try: the first I get was from ebay, but i dont really like to buy stuff in auctions, so i now shop in Hong-Kong based shops, like Strawberry.net anda Sasa: they are far less expensive and make this luxury brands perfectly afordable.
To end: i will continue to use this lotion in the 3-step system, but i nedd ...

...a bad reaction to this, Clinique are very focused on testing their products and it shows. I wouldn't be without this moisturiser as it leaves my skin looking radiant and feeling wonderfully smooth and soft without being shiny and it is absorbed very quickly so you don't need to wait ages to apply your makeup, which is always good when you are in a rush!
The only downside I can see is the price of it, as a student it isn't practical to pay around ...
