...an old faithful of mine, Clinique Happy.
I go through stages of fickleness to perfume so inevitably things get forgotten but this was definitely worth rediscovering...
**THE PACKAGING**
Its pretty funky as you can see from the pic, the bright orange box it comes in is hard to miss with the distinctive Clinique logo across the middle.
The bottle itself is a fairly simple affair, which personally I prefer. Its an oval shape, easy to hold on to ... ...The bottle has the Clinique Happy logo printed at the top near the lid so if, like me, you chuck out the boxes you will still have a vague idea what you might be smelling of!
The silver lid clicks on and off in a very satisfying manner, and fits well enough to avoid a nasty accident in transit... **THE FRAGRANCE**

...gift box, it was a Clinique gift box and the perfume contained inside was ‘happy’. This scent is just lovely and fresh. It’s got this fruity, floral vibe to it and I have to say along with ‘Ralph’ it’s my favourite perfume. Ever since I received it last year I have continued to use Happy as it is just one of my favourite scents ever. I am quite picky with my scents; I always want a scent to describe me. On the back of the box is all of the usual information such as the ingredients, sizes and company address. Advantages: Light, fresh fragrance suitable for everyday use, reasonably long-lasting Disadvantages: I find I need to use a few squirts therefore using it up quickly
...and body wash available, and Clinique offer a couple more perfumes in the "Happy" family, so be careful to choose the right one. For me, Happy is definitely my favourite of the lot. Clinique Happy has been on the market for many years now and up until the very recent launch of the new Happy Heart fragrance, Happy was one of a measly two fragrances for women available over the green and white, clinical-looking Clinique counters that you can find in just about any department store you care to enter.
I used to travel frequently to New York and got to know the perfume counters at Gatwick, Heathrow and JFK like the proverbial (and ... ...never find anything to beat Clinique Happy.
* The Bottle
Happy comes in both a 50 ml and 100ml spray bottle which is curiously simple in design – it is a tall glass bottle with a silver cap and the orange “Happy” logo near the top. Just like that picture at the top of this opinion in fact.
* The Smell
This is most certainly a daytime perfume and, on me at least, smells lightly floral/citrusy, but without being too “girly” like the awful Anais ...

...morning I first came across Clinique Happy. Oh, what a happy day. The very next day I went straight out to purchase a bottle for myself. Let me explain why...(this is my first perfume op, so I hope I am able to express the experience clearly for everyone).
WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Well, since you ask, I have the 50ml size and it comes in a tall slimline glass bottle with a silver cap. Clinique happy is printed across the top, near the cap, clinique ... ...take a little tube of Clinique Happy lotion which I have since bought to use as a top up. It's such a light, free, airy essence that it seems to disappear far too quickly. I don't apply this perfume before I go to work because by the time I've reached the office I can't smell it anymore, and I like to smell my perfume during the work day, so as to give myself an olfactory boost!
ANY DUBIOUS AFTER-EFFECTS?

...was first introduced to this clinique fragrance when my boyfriend gave it me as a Valentines gift a couple of years ago and have used it ever since. In my opinion it is the perfect everyday perfume as the smell is fresh, crisp and flowery without being overpowering.
Clinique describe this product as being: "a hint of citrus, a wealth of flowers and a mix of emotions". Beautifully put and very apt for this scent. Clinique go on to say that this perfume ... ...and Hawaian wedding flower. Clinique claim these scents have never been used together before in a perfume which would account for the truly distinctive, orginal smell of Happy.
The Happy range is presented well in a bright orange box with a small, stylish label of Clinique happy towards the top. The box looks stylish and should appeal to a wide audience. The perfeume itself comes in a tall, slender bottle - again plain with the small, stylish clinique ...

Happy by clinique - well what can l say? Everyone l feel has a signature smell - this is mine. A light slightly sweet smelling perfume that reminds me of long lazy summer days - even in the depths of winter. Apart from the perfume itself l would strongly advise any Happy devotees to try out the body lotion - since wearing this l have had lots of people - male and female comment on how good l smelled. The packaging is simplistic and therefore very ... ...a few. The fragrance itself as it is quite light and refreshing is an excellent day wear perfume - but please do not let this put you off wearing it at night and on all special occassions.

After the huge market of fragrances that overpower and irritate the senses it was refreshing to find a scent like Happy. This is my all-time favourite perfume, and I keep a huge bottle of it on my dressing table. It's a lovely mix of citrus and flower scents, not too heavy or overpowering, and makes you smell as if you've just walked through a botanical garden. People often mention how good I smell and want to know what I'm wearing, and my husband says that he's so used to Happy now that he considers it to 'smell of me' rather than the other way around! :)

Review of Clinique Happy
Advantages: Gorgeous smell, Good value for a classy brand Disadvantages: None!
...glad that I have discovered Clinique Happy. I'd wanted to try this for ages but couldn't bring myself to buy it just in case I didn't like it. However, I waited until a Clinque Bonus-Time event and got a small trial size bottle of the stuff. From then on, I've been hooked and always make sure I never run out!
Happy is a really gorgeous perfume. It is a light spray and the smell is really clean and fresh. It is not overpowering even if you use quite ... ...a smile to my face whenever I smell it which actually helps me calm down a bit too so if you're prone to stressy fits like me then this is for you! :)
In my opinion, this is a great value for money perfume. It is not cheap but something that smells so good shouldn't be. I bought a very large bottle for £29.50 which is an excellent price compared to some other perfumes of a similar size.
The smell is quite unique. I find this scent to be prefect ...

I've got my first Clinique Happy perfume about 5 years ago as a birthday present from my mum. I wasn't specially `happy` when I first noticed the bottle as I had expected a different fragrance for the occasion and it made me a kind of nervous that everybody encouraged me to wear lighter, fresh scents due to my age however deeper exotic perfumes excited me much more those times. My first impression about the fragrance was that it was "nice" but i ... ...about half a bottle of Clinique Happy again and I'm using it regularly, every time when I need a sprinkle of youngish braveness, confidence, fresh ideas or the really cheerful and HAPPY "bubbly butterfly-effect". :)
About the bottle
My first impression about the bottle is that nobody has put too much energy into the design. It looks dull, trivial and lack of any fantasy or creativity. I specially like to decorate my room with colourful, shiny perfume-sculptures ...

Clinique introduced Happy in 1997. It is the result of the following top fragrance Notes: more
bergamot, boysenberry and honeysuckle. The middle notes are: bushflower, grapefruit and moss and the base of the fragrance is: freesia, lemon and Hawaiian wedding flower. Happy is recommended for romantic use.
