    Advantages Advantages none for me

Disadvantages Disadvantages left my skin very dry, sensitive, hot feeling, despite claims to be mild

Although on the whole I tend to prefer make-up and bath products to skincare, one thing I do absolutely love is cleansers, and even though I’ve found a couple which really suit my skin, it never seems to stop me from buying more. Saying that, as much as I am a fan of cleansers, I do prefer cream cleansers to face washes. I have dry skin, and in the past have found facial washes have made my skin feel tight and uncomfortable. It’s for that reason I would probably not have purchased a full size tube of Clinique’s liquid facial soap mild, as it’s a lot of money to take a risk on in my opinion. As ... more

Advantages Advantages Doesn't dry out skin

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A little expensive

I bought this Clinique liquid facial soap after I was given some Boots vouchers for Christmas. I decided to go for the 'mild' version of the soap since it was suitable for dry combination skin. This was really good for me, since I sometimes find that when I use soaps or face washes that my skin feels quite dry and flaky afterwards, as my skin can dry out quite easily. I didn't find that after using this face wash so I was really pleased. The soap is available to buy in sets of 3 x 50ml sizes, so they are easy to carry around and good if you wanted to take them on holidays. The set of 3 x 50ml ... more

Advantages Advantages it works, value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages more expensive than some other brands

I am a bit of a super fan of Clinique so here I am writing yet another review on one of their products. This time I have chosen to focus on their liquid facial wash. This comes in a variety of strengths to suit different skin types. I personally use the mild version as this is what suits my dry combination skin. Price and availability I think that the price of this is very reasonable compared to some other brands, although I’m sure many may not wish to pay quite so much for a face wash. This is priced at £14.00 for a decent sized 200 ml of product. This can be found in all of the usual places ... more

Advantages Advantages Cleanses well, gentle, somewhat moisturising, doesn't cause tightness, lathers well, no reactions

Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing for me - some don't like to use soap in their cleansers

Clinique claim "good skin can be created" and their famous 3 step skincare system is very popular among many women of all ages. Clinique have a number of different versions of the 3 step system to suit different skin types and these are as follows: 1. Very dry skin 2. Dry skin 3. Oily skin 4. Very oily skin Liquid facial soap is step one of the three step system and they recommend following it with Clarifying Lotion for the relevant skin type and Dramatically Different moisturiser. This liquid facial soap mild is intended for skin types 1 and 2. I usually use products for skin type 3, and I ... more

Advantages Advantages Lathers well & Leaves Skin feeling Unbelievable Clean & Fresh

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

The Clinique Liquid Facial Soap is Step 1 in their "3-Step" skincare range and is basically designed to cleanse your face and prep your skin for the use of the other 2 Products in the cycle. This cleanser is available in different "types" according to your skin type (as with most Clinique Products) these are; Extra Mild (Skin Type 1) Mild (Skin Type 1 & 2) Oily (Skin Type 3 & 4) Personally I opted for the Mild type as parts of my skin are Oily but I also have areas that are quite dry. Considering this Facial wash is quite expensive compared to what I normally spend on Beauty Products, I was ... more

Advantages Advantages Cleans very well. Skin feels fresh.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can dry very slightly.

I started using Clinique a good few years ago now. I use the '3 Step System' religiously, because it keeps my skin in good condition and reduces the amount of spots I get. I have type 2 skin type according to Clinique, but I find the find the number 2 clarifying lotion too harsh on my skin, and the dramatically different lotion seems to clog my pores. So I mix and match, and my skin has never been better. I use the gel moisturiser, type 1 clarifying lotion, and mild liquid soap. Which im going to talk about now. Hearing the word 'Soap' makes you want to stay clear of this! Because the first ... more
