Advantages: Effectively removes even the most stubborn eye-makeup Disadvantages: Effectively removes your eyelids too
Since Clinique are one of my favourite brands (due to the fact that they cater well to my skin and are animal friendly) their rinse-off eye makeup solvent seemed too good to be true.
The blurb claims that it is a “fast, water-rinsable eye makeup dissolver” which “cleans up eyes easily without disturbing other makeup”. The question is, can any product really clean up eye makeup without making you look like a panda, and without interfering with any ... ...Similarly, I was determined that Clinique would not fail me. Sadly, they have. I have no idea which of the ingredients reacted so badly to me but suffice to say I have since ridded myself of it (hence the fact I can’t repeat the ingredients to you here.)
So then, you would not be surprised that I wouldn’t recommend this product. Whilst it is brilliant at removing makeup, and it does indeed live up to its claims, the results I suffered are just not ...

Advantages: Doesn't sting or burn you eyes or skin, can be used for long lasting lipsticks Disadvantages: expensive, smudges the better waterproof mascaras before removing them
...that is used throughout the Clinique range. The writing on the bottle is white. The front of the bottle has a large ‘C’ above ‘CLINIQUE’ which has lines above and below the word. ‘rinse-off’ is written below this, with ‘eye makeup solvent’ on the next line down. Below this is two lines of French.
The back of the bottle has the writing ‘Allergy Tested. 100% Fragrance Free’. On the first two lines in bold. Below this is a description and directions ... .../30mle’.
Each of the Clinique products comes in a box with a little leaflet explaining all about the product.
‘A fast dissolver of all eye colour, eyebrows to eyelashes. Oil-free, blur-free and sting-free. Dampen 100% cotton ball well or use a cotton swab for spot work. Sweep over eye makeup. Rinse or tissue off. Replenish thirsty eye-area skin with refreshing, oil-free Moisture Surge Eye Gel. Ophthalmologist tested.’

Clinique Rinse-Off Eye Makeup Solvent is fragrence free and colourless. All you do is dab a small amount on and then rinse of with cold water, it works like magic. I find it particularly satisfying that you can see the water go dark as your rinsing it off. It doesn't smear the make-up all over your face and there's absolutley no greasy feeling so it's easier to reapply make ...
