I still had to use a concealer on my forehead as it is quite red and pimply at the moment (time of the month!) but I wasn't too bothered about that since if the foundation was any thicker it may feel too heavy. I apply mine with my fingers, they used a sponge and I know the new thing is a brush which Clinique sell for £20, but whichever method you use I'd say a little really does go a long way.
