A Barbeque With A Difference.

Advantages: Too many to list here
Disadvantages: None

COBB BARBEQUE This is a barbeque with a difference. Deep breath……. It doesn’t carbonise the food! It doesn’t make smoke! It doesn’t get hot on the outside! It doesn’t use tons of charcoal! You can use it indoors! It can roast a chicken and bake bread! You can even stick a wok on top and use it to stir-fry! OK that’s a few more than one I admit. ***************************************************** ORIGINS The Cobb gets it’s name from the fuel ...

Fish can be smoked very nicely by putting damp wood chips in the well around the base of the inner chamber or as mentioned before, you can use this to add moisture and flavour by donating a little beer or wine (about 8 fl oz). Advantages: A great many
Disadvantages: none

Designed by South African Ken Hall, the Cobb was voted as one of the best inventions of 2001 by Time Magazine. The original Cobb was ceramic and used dried ...
...Meat cooked on the Cobb turns out crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside - even chicken breast which is usually pretty dry! It's pretty healthy too since the fat runs off into the moat or 'flavour well'. The moat can also be used to cook vegetables in or to do Jamie Oliver type foil parcels (think mussles, prawns, mushrooms, etc). Veggies need to be cut into smaller pieces and take longer to cook because the heat goes to the grill first ...
