Brewed with an unusual blend of grain and malt and with a lot less gas than similer beers it was designed to go well with Indian food and for a long time was only available in Indian resturents. ...a go. Originally from Bangalore, Cobra is now brewed by Charles Wells in Bedford. They made a real mess of Red Stripe and now they've done the same with Cobra, which before being brewed over here, was I remember quite nice. But not any more. This is your standard 5.0% ABV premium lager, and they give it the big "not so gassy as premium lagers" angle. ...in Bangalore, India, the award-winning Cobra beer is a beer that, for some reason, goes fairly unnoticed outside of the standard-par Indian restaurant. I am a beer lover and have drank many, many beer's in large quantities. This was discovered first by me when I went to an Indian restaurant.
