Advantages Advantages Nice taste, good price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None!

I don’t think you choose the toothpaste you use until you grow up and leave home to live alone. I have always used Colgate toothpaste, why? because that is what has always been in the bathroom cabinet. Up till this point in my life my teeth has always been fine, I’ve never needed any dental work and my teeth are as white as you can get without having them bleached by some celebrity makeover guru. So, I am pretty pleased with Colgate as it seems to have looked after me quite well. --Prices-- Colgate isn’t very expensive at all, probably the reason it has always been in my bathroom cabinet (not ... more

I know that toothpaste might not be the most exciting thing to review but we all need it and after suffering throughout my teenage years with really sensitive teeth and requiring a fair bit of dental treatment I have tried many different products and brands. After moving into my own house I have to say that I was swayed by the cost of items such as toothpaste so would always go looking for the cheaper brands or whatever had the 'special offer' next to it on the shelves of Tesco! I am now trying to go for brand and product delivery and at present I am using Colgate Toothpaste, in particular the ... more

Advantages Advantages Good at cleaning and freshening breath

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nasty, sickly taste

Up and down - up and down... ...toothpaste, a necessary evil, a part of the day, something you must not forget for fear of sending your stinking breath across the faces of all your works colleague with that tell tale whiff of last night's curry still there for all to remark upon... We used to be a Colgate family about five or six years ago and then Mrs D suggested we should try McLeans for some reason (perhaps there was 2p off, she cares about stuff like that...) All I know is that now when we stay at the inlaws house and forget our supply of McL and have to make do with their badly twisted ... more

Advantages Advantages It can clean too, and destroy bacteria.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Its action in the course of time.

This toothpaste surely carry out a cleaning action and let a relatively good breath, but… how the great majority of its brothers on the market… realises another covered action, consciously or not it was decided… I’m telling you a little story, not only an opinion. If you like to listen to… This toothpaste contains sodium fluoride – and saccharine - like the vast majority of the toothpaste. Fluor is a poison for our central nervous system (otherwise told brain), a powerful destroyer of it. This is the centre of the story. But, before to begin it, I want to ... more

Advantages Advantages Keeps teeth clean and provides a dazzling smile!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't think of any!

From when I was a little boy we have always had a tube of Colgate in the bathroom cabinet. Colgate over the years in my opinion is the countrys leading toothpaste brand. It's almost like your brain is washed along with your teeth, to make you automaticly think......clean teeth....with colgate, sufice to say time for bed....Colgate time! Colgate gives you everything you need from a toothpaste. Ultimatly very very clean teeth, which provides you with a dazzling smile. On a personal note I have not had to have any dental work for years. You can see the dentist dissapointed after filling out my ... more

    Advantages Advantages very good taste

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Colgate is a very tasty toothpaste because when anyone tries it, you will immediately love it. Not only is it excellent in flavour (it tastes very minty and this remains even after you have finished doing your brush), but it also cleans your teeth and leaves your mouth feeling very fresh and leaves you knowing that you are ready to start the day and not be worried about how your mouth will be smelling. With me being such a fan of my junk food, this has been perfect for me to maintain a decent enough set of nashers. The product is obviously well known and it is also very distinctive when ... more

HISTORY William Colgate was a soap and candle maker. He first opened up a startch, soap and candle factory on Dutch Street in New York under the name of 'William Colgate and Company'. He died in 1857 and the company's name was changed to 'Colgate and Company'. It was then managed by his son Samuel Colgate. In 1873 the company manufactured it's first toothpaste which as sold in a jar. The first toothpaste to be sold in a tube was in 1896. It was called 'Colgate Ribbon Denta Cream'. 'Brush your teeth with colgate, colgate dental cream, it cleans your breath *what a toothpaste* while it cleans your teeth' Does just what jingle from the advert says. Colgate origonal toothpaste does the job of cleaning teeth without the need for fancy extras or pretty stripes. It effectively fights plaque acids that cause decay and strenghtens tooth enamel for strong healthy teeth. Its white paste has a fresh minty taste and leaves you with minty fresh breath and clean, plaque free gleaming teeth. I've tried many different toothpastes over the years such as whitening, baking soda and kiddies ... more

Colgate has been there ever since one can think of a toothpaste being introduced. Since then it has come up with various flavours, and types depending on the gums and other specifications of individuals. Colgate is a popular brand, widely known and used all throught the world. The most widely used toothpaste among the various types of Colgate is the Colgate normal, which is very gentle and the best for regular use among youngsets. There are various other toothpastes and flavours such as mint, colgate gel in red and blue and others. A new whitening colgate toothpaste is also very affective for ... more

    Advantages Advantages Minty fresh

Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing amazing about it that would persuade me to buy it over any other brand

I quite like this toothpaste, it is blue with white flecks in it. I like the fact that it is blue because it is something a little different. It smells quite chalky, and tastes like this also whilst brushing. I find it very minty, but my breath does not smell fresh and minty, my breath does not smell bad, but I would have liked a minty breath! I chose Colgate because I seem to be bombarded with adverts on TV for it, and it seems like one of the most popular brands, yet not much more expensive. It promotes the toothpaste as being for you whole family, so that also appealed to me. Overall, I ... more
