We probably all know and recognise Colgate as a toothpaste brand, ranging from Colgate Oxygen to Colgate sensitive. Colgate smiles is a product specifically designed to attract the children audience, with some suited to 0-2 year olds, some to 2-6, and then 6+. Starting with the tooth paste, there are 3 different tooth pastes, 1 is for children up to the age of 2 years, this one has the lowest fluoride per dose and is specially designed as children will be teeth during this period of there life. I found there was a slight problem however . Browsing Asda's shelves this week looking for this item I eventually found it on the bottom shelf right near the floor . Getting my poor old body down to have a closer look I realised it's part of Colgate's childrens range . Oh well Hubby's always saying I'm 55 going on 6 so in for a penny , in for pound .

I am a heavy smoker and most smokers know that your tooth will eventually get yellow and not every toothpaste helps. I have been using Colgate smiles and trust me I smile with confidence , because it actually gets rid of the yellowing of the tooth.

I have found Colgate Smiles to be relatively low in fluoride content which instantly reccomends the product to me, but I would advise a potential buyer to make sure that there aren't any other products which are more suitable and fluoride free, before choosing to purchase the product.
Young children need encouragement to brush their teeth and the minty taste has gone down well with my youngest cousin - the main problem is stopping him ... ...you shop - and comes from a well known brand with an excellent reputation for toothpaste manufacture. Colgate have done as much as possible to make the product safe, and I would therefore reccomend this product as a second choice, once you have determined that there aren't any non-fluoride products. ...

I bought this for my 3 yr old daughter, as i had noted that this has lower floride than most other brands that are available at the moment, Wich i understand is important in young childrens toothpaste. As younger children tend to swallow the toothpaste rather than spit it out so they may intake more floride than recomended. Although i would still encourage the child to try and spit out the toothpaste after brushing their teeth.

Colgate Smiles is a new range of toothpaste for children. I discovered it by accident while "debating" which toothpaste to buy while shopping with my six year old daughter! What makes this different to the many over priced, "child friendly" brands on the market that appeal to kids by plastering colourful cartoon characters over the tube, and flavours such as wild berry and bubble gum(!) is that Colgate have stuck to the classic mildly minty flavour ... ...you're buying for 0-2, 2-6, 6+. The "ace in the hole" however is the inclusion of glitter (2-6) or stars (6+). My daughter left the shop excited to discover what cleaning your teeth with stars feels like! And I left the shop happy in the knowledge that although she thinks she won this battle and got her own way, it was actually me who had triumphed as I can be sure she is using a toothpaste that actually cleans and cares for her teeth. ...

colgate is a fairly cheap toothpaste in comparison to other leading brands of toothpaste. because of this i personally feel it is lacking in certain areas. From personal eperiences the paste doesn't keep your breath fresh for too long and to get the same results as other brands you have to brush more frequently. also my teeth were feeling slightly sensity after i had finished the tube. some advantages of this toothpaste are its not the worst tooth ...
