You Can't Put A Price On Your Baby's Happiness
Review of Colief Infant Drops by
Mickie26
Advantages: Baby's happiness, baby's comfort, reduces colic and really works.
Disadvantages: Very expensive, but is available on perscription if your doctor will give you it.
...mother and baby group suggested colief I was ready to give anything a try. I couldn't believe the price of it though.
Colief costs £9.99 and that is for a 7ml small bottle. The thing is it lasts for about a month because you only need to put 2 drops in every feed. The making up of the milk becomes more difficult because you have to put it in every feed in a certain way. It has to go in at least 4 hours before the feed is given to your baby.
Formula ...

A miracle cure for colic
Review of Colief Infant Drops by
Maia
Advantages: Stops colic in my experience
Disadvantages: Expensive. Bottle only lasts 3 weeks.
...the most expensive medicine - Colief Infant Drops (£10.99) for a small bottle. And it worked! Here's how it works, what happened and what you do:
** WHAT IS COLIEF? **
Listen up, because the biology behind how it works is a bit complicated! Colief is a bottle of Lactase Enzyme Drops. It has an active ingredient called lactase, a safe enzyme that occurs naturally within the body. All dairy products, including infant formulas and breast milk, contain ...

A Genuine miracle cure for some babies !
Review of Colief Infant Drops by
adrianjfrost
Advantages: If your baby has Transient Lactose Intolerance this will work amazingly well
Disadvantages: Pricey. Must be kept in cold so travelling is a pain
...defenders) that something was done. Colief was suggested and we tracked some down in Boots that day.
By the evening feed it was like we had a new baby. Other reviews have explained how the stuff works, as does their website, but for us the combination of screaming after feeds (especially short fussy, high lactose, feeds) foamy poo and virtually no weight gain by 6 weeks (cos baby couldnt get as much nourishment from milk as she needed, up to 40% ...

Colic relief that works
Review of Colief Infant Drops by
sueymoss
Advantages: no more colic
Disadvantages: expensive
...I cried.
The price of the Colief was nearly enough to put me off - £9.99 for a measly 7ml (a tiny, tiny bottle) but decided to give it a go for the sake of my sanity. We tried it over the weekend and was disappointed to find that it didn't work straight away, but by the Sunday evening she was like a different baby. She poo'd without straining and crying and was altogether a much more placid, smiley baby.
The Colief contains lactase which breaks ...

Does exactly what it says on the box
Review of Colief Infant Drops by
Skyeday
Advantages: It really works! (and it's available on prescription)
Disadvantages: Needs to be added to milk 4 hours in advance
...I add 2 drops of colief to each bottle of milk, 4 hours in advance. These took a lot of getting used to, but believe me it is worth the effort. It took a few days to work but when it did, the screaming lessened dramatically and my baby seemed in less pain.
She still has a lot of wind, but it doesn't hurt her so much. The website of the product is very informative and does all the science bit. I order the product online and it usually arrives the ...

Colief enzyme drops
Review of Colief Infant Drops by
jaynego
Advantages: relieves colic from lactose intolerance
Disadvantages: price
We found this a god-send but only when using 1 drop per feed. We used 4 drops per feed initially (as instructed on bottle) and although she was much better she still had spasmodic griping and was sometimes difficult to feed, along with loose explosive poos. We went down to 1 drop per feed after speaking to the GP and it was great. No more explosions, a settled tummy and the most gorgeous happy baby you could ask for. She is now 7 months and off it ...

Quick review of Colief Infant Drops
Review of Colief Infant Drops by
anitcr
I tried colief drops for my little lad as discussed with my gp, well where do I start. I made the bottles up, only 2 at a time as they have to be used in 12 hours. He was very sick and his poo was runny beyond believe. I stopped the drops and noticed a difference straight away.
I advise anyone to think twice before using these drops. We are going to try SMA LF for him now.

Colief Drops versus SMA LF
Review of Colief Infant Drops by
jjjjjp
Advantages: Anything is worth a try when you have an unhappy baby
Disadvantages: Its expensive and SMA Lactose Free is a much better approach (imo)
...SMA LF (lactose free) or colief drops. We tried the SMA LF for a week and saw an improvement in her feeding after a couple of days and the runny poos stopped too, but she still did the uncontrollable crying in the evenings. We thought that if she was lactose intolerant that the new milk would stop all the crying so we then went to SMA Gold with the colief drops. Well the effect was instant and not good!
With the drops she started to scream again ...

not worth the money
Review of Colief Infant Drops by
blackbunnyrunning
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: takes advantage of desperate parents who just want a happy baby
expensive yes, effective no!. I bought it for my daughter as she was very colicey, if she wasnt sleeping she was crying. It seemed to make sense but that the lactose in her milk was difficult to break down, thats when i found aptimal easy digest formula. It is suitable from birth and contains less than half the lactose of other baby milks, so no added expense buying things to add to the milk, remembering to add the crops and the bottle is tiny.just ...

Quick review of Colief Infant Drops
Review of Colief Infant Drops by

Hello. I have a very windy 6 week old baby. Colief has really helped the crying in the evening but he is still very windy. Can you tell me if it is safe to use Woodward's Gripe water throughout the day as well as adding Colief to every bottle?
