...and colour by Luke at Colournation in Covent Garden and two weeks on I am still avoiding mirrors. My fringe was butchered within an inch of its life and I had some serious steps hacked into my once lovely long hair. I was offered a sweeping fringe and after I made it clear that I wear my fringe very long, I was given a harsh assymetrical botch job ranging from three (yes THREE!) to seven inches! This monstrosity was taken right the way into the length ... ...he then overcharged me. Thankfully, Colournation have great aftercare and went above and beyond to make up for this stylists savage attack on my locks. I was given a valiant rescue attempt free of charge by the lovely Grant who made a real difference. He is a fabulous stylist and did all he could short of sticking it back on. I also received a blow dry voucher and a full refund. Be warned, I'll be wearing alice bands till next summer.... ...

...Holtom. I have been to ColourNation in Covent Garden twice in the last six months – I am relatively new. I live way out in Kent and have been to salons locally and have had at best ‘OK’ haircuts. Anyway my bleached blonde long hair started looking bland and lifeless so I decided to look on the internet for a new salon. All the time in the back of my head I thought no one would be able to do any better. Anyway ColourNation’s website caught my eye ... ...colouring. I didn’t believe it then but I still had a tiny bit of hope. When I arrived at the salon they were all very friendly so I was instantly put at ease. Quick review of ColourNation London Hairdressers
My hair was ruined by going to this hairdresser. I have curly halr and I wanted my highlights re-done, the stylist used bleach (which apparantely you shouldn't do on curly hair as the curicle is different, and curly hair is a lot dryer than straight) and my hair has dried out and gone crunchy, to the point where its hard to comb! I went to my normal hairdresser to get it cut and she was horrified, I have to wait for it to grow out if I want to get it coloured again. For a place called colour nation its a bit ironic, please don't go here to get a colour done if you want nice hair!!!!! ...

It costs between £270 - £380 depending on the length of your hair, thickness of your hair etc - more details can be found at http://www.colournation.com where there is a gallery of pictures before/after.
It can be done on Coloured Hair but not on bleached hair.
The process takes at least ... ...involves different forumla's of creme being applied, left and then washed out.
Results are pretty amazing - if you have curly hair and hate it - this really will straighten it.
The results will last 6 - 9 months depending on how fast your hair grows and wether it grows curly right at the root. anything i missed? ...

Advantages: Lisa is amazing - a real find Disadvantages: that I can't visit more often
...have my hair cut at ColourNation Covent Garden.
Lisa's cutting skills are amazing. She always cuts and razors my hair giving me a slick feathered look.
Most importantantly, days even weeks after my visit I do feel like I just stepped out of a salon!! Lisa shows me how to maintain the cut/look when I'm at home.
Thanks Lisa - you're a very special find.
