...From the off set Command and Conquer 3 is clearly a tribute to the games that went before it, from the opening missions voice over of "welcome back commander" to the inclusion of old style commando missions, this game felt like walking down a freshly painted memory lane. Anyone who loved the original game will adore this one, simple.

Special award for using the woman with the sexy voice to say 'Welcome Back commander' 10/10 I missed her, gamespy took her, now she is back :D

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun was released in 1999 with its expansion pack Firestorm and Finally after 8 years the king is really back and better than ever. In this instalment of Command and Conquer you will be back controlling the forces of GDI or NOD in a futuristic earth with the most advanced weapons and war machines known to man. The earth is split into 3 zones, first is the red zone which is inhabitable then there is the yellow zones which ... ...finally there is the blue zones what are unaffected by Tiberium. The game starts with NOD launching a Nuke at the GDI space station which is holding a meeting with all the top ranking members in GDI and the station is destroyed which starts the Third Tiberium War.
The game allows the player to play the same storyline from GDI and NOD’s point of view. Each faction has its own Hollywood cast with 90 minutes of HD video sequences which include:

Advantages: Detailed tutorial mode to get you familiar with controls. Disadvantages: Perhaps more players in online mode would be nice.

Also like the original, the cut scenes are filmed to a standard suitable to that of a hollywood thriller, which helps to put you into the role of a GDI commander. The graphics are perfect for the style of gameplay, and the ability to zoom in close gives the skirmishes between your units a more personalized feel. My experience of C&C 3 Tiberium Wars was generally a good one. This game is possibly not the best for new players, even though I am not a new player to this genre of game, the complexity of what needs to be done goes a bit further than kill all of the enemies and sometimes becomes annoying when you have to restart a mission because the game becomes randomly more puzzling. Advantages: lots of missions, good sounds and graphics Disadvantages: poor acting in sequences, bad camara angle and contols
I did not enjoy playing this game I thought first off all the acting in the sequences was woeful and just annoyed me so i ended up skipping most sequences. The gameplay is weak as there is a bad camara angle that is not far enough out so you can not get a good view of the battlefield. The game starts off easy but gets harder as you progess and some levels will take you many tries before you can complete it. There are plently of mission to complete ... ...campign you are only have way through it as there is a surprise have way through which I will not ruin if you bother to get that far into the game. Overall the gameplay could have been better with more units to build and better contols but it is a satisfactory strategy game for a console. ...

One Word: Screwed. I myself am not a fan of such strategy games but under egging by some of my sicko friends I decided to get this. I nearly regretted it. The best Command & Conquer I have played. Installation was quick and painless... off we go fighting in Tiberium Wars 3
I found the game creative with loads of options and upgrades. Game play forces you to think and build quickly and make a constant note off what’s going on the rest of the map. As stages advanced and became more challenging I needed to restart quite frequently and plan better strategies. As you became more familiar with allied forces ... ...battles.... One of the missions I started out as GDI and finished the mission as a complete alien force.
Three levels of play EASY, NORMAL & HARD. I found NORMAL challenging enough for the first time round and HARD made way for a challenging 2nd round. Sound & graphics was excellent on my mainstream PC and would remarkable on a faster one.

XBOX360:
The version for the Xbox is now due May 2007 so I decided to check it out first
by downloading the demo from the Xbox360s Online Marketplace.
Having gone through the 'training session' I concluded that
the XBox360s Controller was, in my hands, not suited for this
game. Either that or my brain is so used to playing this series of games
using a PCs keyboard and mouse combination that it couldn't adjust quickly
enough.
So off I went and bought the PC version that is available now.
See my review under the pc version of this game for installing on Windows Vista ...

Its good to see that the C&C team are back on track, they have got some big name si-fi stars to act out the story line, interesting units and a real feel of the older games. But the new controls take time to get use to for people who have played the predictors. ...

My only real gripe is that the missions arent terribly long but then again i only play games online so this didnt bother me one bit. Since playing the first command and conquer i have been hooked on strategy games due to the immense gameplay involved. Command and Conquer games always seem to be a marvel and this is no exception. The cutscenes are well made and keep the story progressing nicely. But as the previous reviewer (rbell5ciao) mentioned that the controller does not feel suited and I also have to agree. I found myself pressing the wrong buttons and could not really get adjusted to the controller style.
The game itself and the graphics are wonderful. The sound is also well created and ... ...is a great game. I would reccommend trying before purchasing it.
I play many RTS games and this is a fantastic addition to my collection even though I think a keyboard layout would have helped a lot. The controller is my only concern but aside from that many people may like it and get used it. I would play it again as I feel the story line does contain enough depth to do so. ...
