Because she's worth it Review with images

AdvantagesQuick and caring

DisadvantagesAs all vets a bit expensive

"...had swollen and immediately phoned companion care at pets at home, we got an appointment for 25 mins time so it was rush rush rush to get organised and on the road. The pets at home store is only a few miles away so we were there in plenty of time and there was actually no need for the rushing, but we were concerned parents. Tasha is a very excitable pup and is quite a handful when we go somewhere new, but the staff at Companion Care are so good ..." Read review

Caring for your furry Companion....

AdvantagesFriendly staff, excellent brand new equipment

DisadvantagesRelatively new so need to build good reputation over a few years

"...the other reviews written about Companion Care, as I do not currently take any of my animals to this vets. However, over the past 5 months, I have done work experience with Companion Care, the Vets situated inside Pets at Home. I basically wrote to all the vets in my area explaining that I would like to get into Veterinary Nursing and would like to get some work experience. In total, I wrote to 8 vet practices and only Companion Care got back to me. ..." Read review

Strangely good...

AdvantagesAll round good service.

DisadvantagesIn a pet store... (not too professional and I end up spending on cat toys!)

"...say, I take it back. Companion Care is now my, or my cat's, official vet! I have really been quite impressed. Vets are always expensive, but this one seems to be quite reasonably priced (athough I do not have much to compare it with). The staff at Companion Care treat my cat with respect and always compliment him, which I know is a bit of a silly thing to mention, but I love when they do this! It's good to stick to a vet who can then get to know ..." Read review

Companion care lacks compitence

Advantagesconvinient, some resonable prices

DisadvantagesRules, staff's incompitence, commission for selling expensive food

"I have done several reviews on here, regarding my pup Laddie. Mainly on the various food's I've tried him on. I thought it time to review the vet I thought I had settled with, for my pets care. This vet is based inside- usually at the back of the 'pets at home' stores- which sell pets and pet products. Firstly they are resonable with their prices, they have always made fast appointments for Laddie to see his regular vet, whom is really kind ..." Read review

Good, caring AND cheap

AdvantagesCheap prices and friendly, knowledgeable vets

DisadvantagesWaiting area not great especially if lots of dogs are there

"...had great experiences with two Companion Care surgeries. The first was in London. I had recently moved there and my chinchilla had some problems that meant she would need repeated surgery that was likely to eventually kill her. I had to make a horrible decision about whether to put her through that or have her put to sleep. The staff at the surgery could not have handled the situation better. They were very kind and patient, they answered my questions ..." Read review

total money grabbers

AdvantagesNone whatsoever

Disadvantagesovercharge for everything, very misleading, snotty staff

"I have been using Companion Care on and off for nearly two years now, and I must say they one of the worse vets I have come across. My first experience with them was not a good one. I booked in my new puppy that morning for her vaccinations, and after turning up bang on time, faced a 20 minute wait with a pup who had been extremely carsick. upon gettin her onto the vets table, the vet roughly grabbed my pup without even saying hello to her and stuck ..." Help when we needed it

AdvantagesVets in large store, open 7 days a week

DisadvantagesNot one in every town

"I have nothing but praise for Pets at Home. On Easter Sunday this year my 21 year old cat started fitting. I could not find a vet that was open or who would come out and was starting to panic seeing her in such a state, so I rang the head office of the RSPCA. They told me there was nothing they could do but a local pet shop - Pets at Home - were open on Easter Monday and they had their own vets on the premises. I rang first thing on the Sunday ..." Companion Care experience

AdvantagesBrilliant Staff

DisadvantagesNone

"I am very sorry to hear of your bad experience but mine is totally the opposite. My dog jack took very ill in december last year, he was diagnosed with diabetes. He was admitted the day after and we were very close to losing him, but they pulled him through. We spent a lot of time at the surgery over the next few weeks getting his sugar levels stabilised and learning how to give him his insulin injections. They gave us a lot of support through ..." My first and last visit to Companion Care Vet's

AdvantagesNone

DisadvantagesVery poor and non caring service.

"...whilst in there i visited Companion Care Vets located within the store to ask about having my new Pet fully checked over, having a micro-chip and worming and flea treatment, their prices seemed reasonable so i went ahead and had it done. The Pup was taken away from me in to a room and i wasn't allowed to go and see what was happening and the whole thing took minutes and cost me £42 they got all my details of my name and address wrong on the chip registration ..." Quick review of Companion care vet (inside pet's at home stores)

"My labrador Harry had to have a cruciate ligament operation and his vets at Companion Care Cardiff have been more than helpful. After the operation when he came home they told us exactly what his care should be and when we took him back to the surgery to have a check up, the vet came out to the car to treat him rather than have Harry walk over shiny floors in case he might slip. They did this several times until his recovery was complete. Poor Harry has had other medical problems and both vets have come up trumps in caring for him. I can't recommend them highly enough. You can rest assured your pet will be treated with respect and T.L.C.

Excellent service/excellent prices Review with images

AdvantagesLong opening times and prompt appointments

DisadvantagesPerhaps will ultimately be a little more expensive than my present vet for consultations

"...to say that I think Companion care vets are great.I live in worcester where a new one opened in December. They have a special offer on vaccinations at the moment which goes on until February so I'm taking as many cats as I can afford to get half price vaccinations. The vet I have seen,Jonathon,is a lovely chap who took time to show me around the immaculate facilities and explain what all the eqipment was.The cats he has seen so far all had a health ..." They made my Dog worse

Advantagesopening hours

Disadvantagesexpensive unneccessary treatment. Dont keep appointment times

"...following day I went to Companion care where my dog was diagnosed with Arthritis (no test or thorough exam) and given Caprodyl f..... After 2 tablets the dog was vomiting and had heamorraghic diarhea. I immediately stopped the meds and contacted the vets, who said to starve him for 48 hrs and then give him Chicken and rice...... This went on for 5 weeks. I decided (as they had not really treated him correctly) to investigate the meds.... I found ..." Read review
