Advantages Advantages Excellent colour screen and MS Windows compatibility

Disadvantages Disadvantages Convergence of mobile phones and PDAs may render it obsolete. Need to back it up frequently.

**Update made on 08/08/02 at end** There’s no doubt that when it comes to looks the iPAQ H3850 is the classiest PDA available. Combine that with 64MB RAM and 32MB ROM, an excellent 65,536 colour screen (offering a resolution of 240 x 320), a headphone socket and microphone and an infra-red port and you soon realise that its beauty is not just skin deep (a full specifications listing can be found at http://www.compaq.co.uk/products/ipaq/pocketpc/h3850/specs.stm). The 3800 series is the latest incarnation of Compaq’s iPAQ series of PDAs. The other model in the series is the H3870 - the only ... more

    Advantages Advantages Good features.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages shorter battery life.

One of the things that I noticed on the iPAQ H3850 is, its lightning fast processor called the StrongArm, you get smooth scrolls through the screens and menus and the launching and closing of applications. This one feels so much lighter than the other models, makes a difference especially when carrying your PDA on your pocket while walking and running. The size of this PDA is great even with a protective cover. The iTask button is on a very bad position, having your thumb in trouble clicking when the protective case is on. The 5-way directional keypad is easy to use; the up and down clicks are ... more

Hello I return to speak of another one from new the machine that in years will be essential in all the scopes of the life. I talk about Poquet PC (PDA). There will be people who think that they are aparatitos that are not used for anything but I have been able to prove some of them and I can say to you that it begins like something novel that as soon as extractions yield to trasnformar itself in your hands and without DES tells you in something essential. IPaq Poquet PC 3850 is one of the portable ones that more power develops. It could denominate it as "it formulates one" within the PDA´s. Mb ... more

The iPAQ 3850 has a lot of similarities to the 3100, 3600,3700 models, it has a nice looking colors and curves of the first models. The overall unit dimensions are 5.11 x 3.25 and weighs in at 6.7 oz with the outside look being modified. The iPAQ 3850 is running the new Pocket PC 2002 OS. This model has an outside look of having a wider but shorter with a 4 directional pad, with the directional pad doesn’t holds the speaker for the unit. You can’t hear any muffled noises when you use this joypad. The bottom of the unit do not have any significant changes, still having a reser button, USB ... more
