    From beginning my diploma course in September 2004 I have struggled to make a final decision as to my future studies and decision making. I was given little help at college and found that there are a variety of websites containing descriptive information on higher education courses and one to one advice via email or telephone (or the customers' preferred method of contact). A very valuable website for young people who have an indecisive mind is www.connexions-direct.com They offer one to one support for young people aged 13 - 19 and any information shared is guaranteed to remain confidential ... more

    I have just returned from the Hounslow branch of Connexions, known as "The Attic" and frankly, I wish we had just looked in the attic at home. The counselor was surly and abrupt, to the point of almost rude. He did not introduce himself or even smile. He told my son that he is on the scrap heap and that he should give up any ideas about pursuing academic study. BTW, my son turned 16 just 8 weeks ago!! He got one grade C and 5 grade D at G.C.S.E and I would have thought that he would stand a good chance of improving on them given the opportunity.
