Advantages: Creative Genius of Terry Pratchett with The Versatility of Tony Robinson Disadvantages: Abridged
...of the audio version of Small Gods the twelfth book of the Discworld series.
Tony Robinson is the very talented voice artist who adds life to story with his cowardly voice of Rincewind, the cracked voice of Nanny Ogg, the hollow voice of Death to even the proud voice of Lady Sybil Ramkin he can play them all well. I found that his interpretations are very good and they easily matched mine.

Advantages: Humourous, madcap antics which amuse for hours Disadvantages: Laughing out loud when you're alone on the train
Terry Pratchett is a wizard with the English language. His use of it in his novels is fantastic, and the pictures it conjurs up are somewhqat unbelievable, although I frequently wish that our world could be the same as this parallel world. His writing style is also very easy on the mind, as he uses a continuos collection of paragraphs to break up his novels, as opposed to the more traditional layout of chapters, making the books easy to pick up and ...

Disc World leader Review ofSmall Gods - Terry Pratchettby

Advantages: Great to unwind with Disadvantages: can't put them down till youv'e read cover to cover
I have just been brought the Truth novel by Terry Pratchett, The latest in a long line of Discworld novels of which, I have them all, some twice even, as they are re-released as trilogy's. There are not any other authors that works I read, that I would be inspired to go out and buy the set. TP's works are a brilliant look at how things could be in a parallel universe, very witty and cleverly done throughout every novel so far which is no mean feat. ...

Advantages: Hours of Entertainment Disadvantages: Finally manageing to put the book down at 4am
Terry Pratchet is the best Fantasy writer of our time. If you are looking for laughs, adventure and an interesting insight into the world as you thought you knew it you have picked the best author.
The Discworld series is set on a flat world where there is a Guild for everything (including Thieves and assasins), a University for Wizards (in which the Librarian is an ape!), and possibly the most loveable old hag ever.
Terry Pratchet has also written ...

Advantages: Death Disadvantages: Once you start reading Mort it's so hard to put down.
Where do you start? The character of Death is really bought to the surface and you end up feeling a compassion for a metaphor of sadness. The book really brings the characters to life and also explains an event from a previous book.
He introduces some of the more weird and wonderful ideas of the Discworld which makes you fall in love with its strange habits and naivety of the whole place. There are also some interesting ideas of how the mind works ...
