...of hubbys car, was the Cosatto Duet Lite. At £179 at Toys R Us it was also the most affordable tandem and the one I liked the look of best, in monochrome colours it was perfectly unisex and would suit both my daughter and my new son.
The Duet Lite is as slim line as a tandem buggy can get but fortunately isn't too long as a result of this, admittedly steering can be quite a challenge at times especially on tight corners but I was pleasantly surprised ... ...factor in getting a slim line tandem for me was to be able to easily get to the school with the least of trouble, this included being able to get past the waste bins on collection day, even regular single strollers have been a squeeze for me in the past without ending up in the road but the Duet Lite is thin enough to get past them easily.
I had put off using it on my own in the beginning as I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get it up the ...

Advantages: Good looking, Light, Strong, Comfortable, Cheap Disadvantages: Hard to steer when fully loaded, not an off road pushchair
Well I have 2 children, a 14 month old and a 3 year old, and I FINALLY decided to buy a double pushchair after all this time because my baby was getting too heavy for a sling.
First I bought a twin(side by side) pushchiar but after using it for one day I decided it wasnt going to work (couldn't get in anywhere, getting in peoples way, hard to walk along pavement), so I decided to buy a tandem and after a lot of consideration this is the one i chose
... ...assemble, you just fold it out and attach the wheels and hoods. It also comes with a 5 year guarantee which is really excellent considering you only get 1 year with most pushchairs.
I was worried about the wheels, as I had read that they were inflatable ones, but to my delight they now seem to have come to their senses and replaced them with standard wheels, so no punctures!:D
The front seat on the pushchair does not recline however it does look ...

...found my saving grace!! The Cosatto Duet Lite! It ticked EVERY single box of all my requirements! It was an umbrella folding tandem buggy!
I ordered it in February (06) ready for my newborn and daughter at the end of March, from an online store and paid £159.99 for it, with no delivery charges. I was weary of doing it without having physically seen the buggy and having read a very limited amount of reviews on it. It arrived within a few days. My ... ...until she had gone for a nap before I could put it back in the box!
It was everything I had hoped it would be. Size-wise, it was perfect!!!! I had been concerned about the height of the handles, being only 5ft 1in myself, but I needn't have worried! Having been using it for 6 weeks now, I can safely say that I absolutely love it! My daughter (now almost 22 months old and weighing in at 30lbs) fits nicely into the front of the buggy, and my son is ...

Advantages: Sturdy and streamlined, fits on London buses! Disadvantages: Very very heavy, rear brakes sticky.
...over whether to buy the Cosatto or the Marco Skye but finally decided on this one despite the lack of reviews available at the time. I had tried out the Marco at a local shop and found it fairly good but just not quite as nicely styled as the Cosatto. It's also a little taller, and given that both of these buggies are quite a bit taller than a lot of the single buggies out there I opted for the shorter of the two.
I have to say that for the most ... ...is in use.
The Cosatto comes with a rain cover which is good quality and keeps both children well covered apart from the toddler's feet, although I think if my daughter didn't refuse point blank to use the foot rest then her feet probably would be covered by it! There are also two hoods/shades (the photos online show the buggy with only the rear shade attached - there is also one for the toddler seat). These are well-built apart from the plastic ...

Advantages: fits everywhere easy Disadvantages: front doesnt lie bk
We brought this pushchair after a lot of looking around as i wanted one that was easy to get in and out of the house and easy around the shops and as this one is near enough the same size as a single it would fit with no hassle at all, we also liked the way it folded down its not as big as people would thinkit is a little lager than your normal umberella pushchair but for a double its not that bad.
The back seat of the pushchair has three settings ... ...and the third is upright. So it makes it sutable from birth onwards. The front seat how ever has only one position which is upright which is not very good if your child falls asleep.
The hoods on the pushchair are very good for two reasons first- you need to have the hoods open if you are putting the raincover on as this stops the cover being on the childs face at the front and second- i went out and left my raincover at home and yes of course it ...

Advantages: Lightweight, fits into small hatchback car, easy to manouvre Disadvantages: small shopping basket, tyres go flat a lot, squeaky wheels
I have quite a few friends with double buggies, graco and jane powertwin and they are not a patch on the duet lite. The duet lite is lightweight and compact and really easy to fold and open (work just like an umbrella buggy). The seats are sturdy and safe and the buggy is very stylish.
The shopping basket is very small but you can put bags over the handles so it's not all bad.
The only major problem I have had is the back wheel falling off, but ... ...properly clicked open when I opened it. This was repaired at my local pram shop free as I was within the 12 month warranty period. However, the wheels constantly squeak and the tyres go flat a lot (need pumped once a fortnight). The back seat reclines so is great for babies. My boy was a month old when we first used it and it feels very secure. The sides and footwell are completely enclosed so any blankets/dummies don't go missing and there isn't ...

Advantages: Compact, attractive Disadvantages: Heavy, front seat doesnt move, little room for big babies
Brought this as I walk everywhere and live down yor typical bin lined town street where u wouldnt get a side by side thru if you tried. I loved the compactness, not too much bigger tha a normal buggy, umbrella fold and even had shopping basket. The buggy is designed that baby lays at back and older sibling is at front. The bad points of this are big bro or sis has to sit upright at all times (not helpful at nap times) and it also put a lot of weight ... ...wheels. Also warning if you have a big baby they quickly run out of leg room at the back when lying down. Said Lite but after having second baby my body found it awfully difficult to lift around and only did so if needed else hubby had to rescue me. Looks quite trendy tho had few comments that it didnt look very sturdy. ...

Advantages: great colour, great look. Disadvantages: very very heavy when children are in this pushchair.
...i opted to purchase the cosatto duet lite tandem pushchair, i tested it in a shop and i found it fairly easy to push plusit looked reall good and compact. not too long like some i had seen in town, and like the name says it weighed the lightest compared to all the rest, so i thought this is the one, wow, wasnt i mistaken. On our first outing after babe was born we put baby in the back laying down, the back has adjustable seat, and put my 14month in ... ...is as far as i made it, it was like pushing a tank, could nt even get it down the front step, luckily my partner was on hand to help, i could barely turn the corners without seriously straining myself, so from then on i could not go out unless my partner was with me, i could barely lift it into the car boot, even though it did fold very compact, so we sold in the end and brought a more suitable one, so be very sure before you buy this one. ...

Advantages: Looks smart and stylish. Compact. Disadvantages: Rear seat NOT suitable from birth, heavy to negotiate fully loaded.
Loved the reviews but less excited about the reality. Rear seat says suitable from birth but when fully reclined there was a huge bump in the middle and my son kept slipping face first into the edges. Had to pad the sides for him to lie flat and eventually gave up because I felt it was too unsafe at that age. Tyres didn't stay inflated for long and as I only used this occassionally, I found that every time it had an outing, I had to pump them up. ... ...in the front seat, it was incredibly heavy to lift up to get onto the kerb. The front seat was unadjustable and its standard position was slightly tilted backwards making it uncomfortable (according to my daughter). The hood for the front seat always seemed to be sticking out further than the rest of the buggy when folded and eventually got knocked so much I had to just remove it. The rest of the buggy appeared to be good quality and I did love the ...

Advantages: looks stylish, cheap and seats look roomy Disadvantages: hard to handle, heavy and too long when folded
Well I brought this pushchair about a year ago and I personally didn't like it as asi thought it would be a light pushchair but i was wrong. Unlike the name says it's very heavy and as I live in a upperfloor flat it was very heavy to carry up and down. I also found that it was very difficult to manoever as it's got tiny wheels and really hard to get it up the curb. I've got a 14month old and she average weight for her age and i just struggled with ... ...it's very long when folded. The goods things about the pushchair was that the children seemed very comfortable and had loads of room. shopping basket was quite big too. I got a foot pump with mine but the tyres never went down which I thought was good.
I wouldn't buy it as I dont think it very practical, very hard to handle and although it looks nice i felt my daughter at the front was alittle exposed. ...

Advantages: stylish, easy fold Disadvantages: wheels go flat, front seat doesnt recline
I bought the double buggy Cosatto for my newborn daughter and my 2.5 year old daughter. It was more expensive than other buggys, but I liked the handles, the fact that it was so easy to fold.
However, I found is extremely difficult to push. The wheels keep going flat, and when you are a busy Mom of 2, the last thing you need is to worry about them all the time. The back wheel fell off many times, even after being fixed. If you are within the guarantee ... ...you must go and pay for it. It's not practical, and I was in constant worry about how to go and fix it, or have my husband carry it, and be stuck indoors until it was done.
The back seat is absolutely lovely, it has plenty of space, great lenght for a newborn, sheltered from any wind or rain. Front seat doesnt recline, and my daughter couldnt nap in it during noon time. It also doesnt have tray in front for juice.
When the baby is little, the buggy ...

Quick review of Cosatto Duet Lite
ive only just brought this buggy but it is already the best double ive had and trust me ive had a few.
i like the way it folds up like a single umbrella buggy and that its not really long.
i dont like that it can be a bit heavy to get curbs but this is the same with any double.
my 8 month old liked sitting in the back and not next to her older sister trying to pinch everything she had.
i think the raincover could be a bit longer at the front and have some way of getting to the smaller baby in the back, but overall this is a good buggy that i would recommend.
the price is great too ...
