===Why did I buy it?=== When baby Isabella got too big for her cradle I looked in the Tesco Direct catalogue and had a look at some of the cots available. They all looked good and reasonably priced but then I thought to myself "it's not going to last her a very long time and she'll be needing a bed soon after". So I had a look at the cot beds available (p.865). I instantly thought that these were the better option. I knew she'd get more wear out ... ...===Why this one? === The Stratford cot bed has 3 position mattress base fittings with teething rails on the top of the bars, and it changes into a bed - perfect. It's suitable from birth onwards and the mattress is sold separately. H90xW80xL147cm. It came in a choice of two colors; white or brown. I bought the white version at £243. I thought it would give a brighter glow to the bedroom. The others looked just as nice but this one looked modern yet ...

A nice cot bed. We chose the antique pine one and are pleased with the wood and the finish, The varnish is a little shiny for our taste but I guess that's the price of having wipe clean wood.
It has 3 mattress height positions, drop side, teething rails and the footboard splits for when you need to change it from a cot to a bed.
A disadvantage is that it doesnt have a one handed drop down method like many other cots do,so to drop the side you have ... ...niggle not a huge problem.
I built it easily on my own without the instruction book.Some how it arrived to us without the book but to cosatto's credit they swiftly replied to my complaining email with a copy of the instructions. Isn't it nice when a firm actually responds to emails for once?
we bought the cot from the glasgow pram centre during their sale for £140 inc mattress ...
