Advantages: Great for all ages, value for money - great fun! Disadvantages: Addictive and probably not for advanced gamers of the PS2
...of 'Crash Bandicoot'. First came Crash Team Racing (CTR) and now there is Crash Nitro Kart (CNK). This kart racing game has rivalled any major kart racing game ever seen before on the market such as 'Super Mario Kart'. This new addition is actually developed by a different firm to the 'Naughty Dog' production company that brought us the first Crash Bandicoot game, CTR. With different developers it has brought us a whole new gaming experience whilst ... ...platinum. Plot:
Crash Nitro Kart races challenges of a different kind, in this high paced, karting adventure. Crash has been kidnapped by evil Emperor - Velo. He has no choice, other than to race many challenges in Emperor Velo's coliseum, so that he has a chance of saving Earth from complete destruction. In order to complete every challenge, he must successfully race and compete against new and old faces (From CTR) before facing a final challenge ...

Advantages: Fun, nice tracks, good visuals, great multiplayer Disadvantages: Unforgiving, overly difficult extra modes, Crystal Arenas are poor, ineffectual weaponry
Crash Bandicoot's second outing on the PlayStation2 was, perhaps surprisingly, a sequel to the cult PSOne kart racer Crash Team Racing. The first instalment of the series to come on a DVD, Nitro Kart doesn't make any notable technical advances, but will doubtless please fans of the original as it follows the same formula so closely.
And that means all the things you loved (or conversely, hated) about CTR are recreated here, almost to a fault. Essentially ... ...applies to rather too many Crash Bandicoot games), the main bulk of the experience is tainted by a mercilessly high difficulty level. The CNK Challenge is the first offender - a good idea in theory as it sees you having to collect three letters placed in obscure, out of the way or hard to reach places, but things are made unnecessarily problematic with the further requirement that you must simultaneously win the race you are a tackling. And that's ...

Advantages: Hours of fun, Competative, Easy to play Disadvantages: Game takes a while to load
First I had the Crash Team Racing game for playstation 1 and thoroughly enjoyed that. Then I found Crash Nitro Kart - Finally, the PS2 has a Mario kart, but I think it's much better than Mario. Crash Nitro Kart has some beautiful race tracks, great character designs and fantastic weapons. The game it absolutely bonkers but the multiplayer is by far the best feature of the game, how would you like to beat your mates at racing or burn it with a rolling ... ...and definetly worth checking out .
Graphics are good but sometimes the game can seem a little bit notchy. Also it takes a little time to load ( this could be my playstation unit though which is old and well used)
Overall, It's a fun, competitive cartoon racing game with great graphics, creative power-ups and cool characters. I would totally suggest owning all of the other Bandicoot racing games as well as this one for hours and hours of gaming ...

Advantages: Fun for young children. Good and easy to understand Disadvantages: For about 7-10 year olds. Graphics are not that good.
...olds because they all no crash bandicoot, but for older kids it's a bit to childish. I am 12 though and it's not that fun, i prefer realistic games like Toca Race Driver 3 and Gran Turismo 4.
it's quite addictive at the start, but once you get to about halfway to completing it, it gets boring so you turn it off, because it's too easy and you get bored off it quite quickly in the story mode. But in the multiplayer mode it's really fun because you ... ...a ps1 will have a crash bandicoot game with it, so everybody knows it, so they know who all the characters are, what team their on, and everything about them.
The graphics are ok for younger children because they don't expect to much from a ps2 game, so its the usuall plants that eat you and a lot of shortuts. Older children expect real cars instead of tiny karts that can't hardly fit their character in.
The sound is a bit random when your racing ...

Advantages: Great Multiplayer modes. A game for ALL ages. Disadvantages: Slow loading screens.....
Crash Nitro Kart (CNK) is a kart racing game for every major platform out there right now. While it has a few problems in the game layout, the gameplay is self is well done and is what makes the game worth playing. It excels in gameplay and has clever graphics, such as riding up walls and abstract buildings in the background, or surreal race tracks such as "Out of Time" which revolves around a giant clock, and there are several clock pieces strewn ... ...but are more of a Crash theme (ie. Missles instead of red shells, Tornadoes instead of Blue shells, Ice/ electric mines instead of bananas). Probably the biggest difference is the 1 player mode on Crash. It takes several hours and involves winning races, collecting a token in the race, and time trials. Plus there are two different teams to beat it with. Also CNK has more battle modes than MKDD does, as well as more areas for doing so. In conclusion, ...
